Chapter 15
Nia Bashra
“I know exactly what I am to him… but this time, it didn’t feel the same.”
Ihad two days off work, and today was my rest day.
Working as a hotel manager at the Beverly Hills, dealing with people who thought money made them important.
That’s why I didn’t talk much when Vaughn brought up money and thought I was with him for it.
I made good money, my family came from money, so I didn’t need money from a man. Only time… and dick.
I had been creeping with Vaughn for two years.
I met him at my job. Even when he was with his ex, he came to me.
I was the comfort zone, and I was smart enough not to get attached.
I knew what he was to me. Didn’t care that Alana had a piece of him.
If he decided to leave me alone today, I would care, but I wouldn’t lose my mind over it. So I enjoyed him until I couldn’t.
I was finished with everything by the time he was knocking on my condo door. When I opened it, he stood there with his duffel bag, looking handsome as fuck in his work shirt, jeans, and designer shoes. Even in plain clothes, the nigga looked sexy as fuck.
“What’s up, ma, you got it smelling good,” he said as he walked in and hugged me. His hand went straight to my ass.
“Hey, bae,” I cooed as he held onto me. He hugged me a little longer than usual. It almost felt like he needed it.
“Damn, you miss me?” I giggled as I pulled away.
“Lil bit. A nigga just need some female energy right now. Been around men all morning,” he said.
“Well, get comfortable. I’m off work today, so stay as long as you want. I cooked chicken and waffles for breakfast,” I said, closing the door.
“That sound good.” He dropped his bag.
I couldn’t help myself. I started helping him out his shirt just to see his body, covered in tattoos.
“Stripping me already?” he chuckled as I got the shirt over his head.
“Yes,” I giggled.
I walked him to the kitchen, and he sat at the island. I poured him some orange juice and finished the waffles. He rolled his weed while I turned on music. I let him smoke, then set a plate in front of him.
“This look good as fuck. You know this my favorite,” he said, biting into one of the wings.
“I know.” I just sat there watching him.
“You deserve better than me, ma. Especially knowing this is all we will be…” He trailed off, cutting his waffle.
V Saint’s honesty never hurt me. It was the reason I was attracted to him.
“I do deserve you, boy, and I don’t want nothing better. I’m enjoying you till you find your wife.”
“I’m not looking for a wife, that’s the thing. Ain’t shit niggas like me only get what I get. If you called us off right now because you found better, I wouldn’t be mad,” he said, still looking down at his plate.
I raised an eyebrow. “You sure you okay?”
“I’m good.” He took another bite, not looking up.
“I got niggas that would put a ring on it today, but I told you in the beginning I have my own life. I don’t need a man to wife me. I’m not ending us till you do.”
He let out a short chuckle. “I hear you.”
I stood in front of him, and his hands moved over my ass as if nothing had changed.
“I know what you need and why you’re here, so let’s stop playin’.”
He stood, picked me up, and I wrapped my legs around him. He walked us to the couch and dropped down with me still on his lap. He kissed my neck, then said, “Just ride me.”
“You don’t want me to suck it, baby?” I cooed.
“Yeah, for a lil bit, but none of that extra shit you be trying.”
I laughed, sliding off his lap and getting in front of him.
I got his jeans open, pulled them down, and took him in my mouth while the music was playing in the background.
Usually, he’d be more into it, pulling on my hair, watching me, but this time, his head was back, and his eyes were closed.
I thought he wasn’t feeling it until he let out a low moan.
“Get a condom out my bag,” he said.
I did, slid it on, and climbed on top of him, moving slowly at first before picking it up.
I was moaning, kissing him, squirting, giving him everything, but he still wasn’t all the way there.
I kept going until he got close. That’s when he finally grabbed me, pulled me in, and met me with the same energy until he came.
“You squirted all over a nigga. I gotta take a shower and bounce.”
I laughed. “You saying it like you ain’t like it.”
“You know I did.” He lifted me off him and grabbed his bag.
I watched him walk to the guest bathroom, and I went to my room. I was in there about twenty minutes when he walked in fully dressed, a blunt between his lips.
“I’m headed out, ma. I’ll text you.”
“Aww, you’re really leaving?”
“Yeah, got shit to handle.”
“Okay, take some food.”
“I will.”
He walked out just like that.
I stood there a second longer than I needed to, listening to the door close.
It wasn’t new.
But it didn’t feel the same either.
