Epilogue I
The double wedding had been better than anything Chris could have imagined. He thought back to the day with pure pleasure. Many kinds of pleasure, but foremost in his mind was how much of a treasure he had found in Zenobia.
After securing a special license, she had walked down the makeshift aisle of his garden toward him wearing a blue that made her eyes shimmer. Her smile lit up his heart, and it floated above the clouds up into the space filled with stars and dreams.
When he held her hands in his to repeat his vows, he knew again without doubt that she was the one for him.
For better or worse, richer or poorer, sickness or health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part, according to God’s holy ordinance, I vow to be faithful…
There was no question in his mind that they would take care of each other. They always had, and they always would.
Sliding the ring on her finger had made him the happiest man in the world, or perhaps the galaxy.
He had always thought of her as his, but now she was.
And the whole world would know it. There were no more questions or doubts in his mind.
No more fears about losing her or damaging their friendship.
Their friendship was intact, stronger than ever, and they were building upon it as the foundation for their marriage.
It had taken a long time for them to get to this place, but he wouldn’t change a thing because it meant that his friends had found love and happiness as well.
James and Joan couldn’t have been happier with the arrangement, and their father had made a touching toast that included their mother.
Chris would never forget the words he said, “Love is a rare gift. If you find it, treasure it. But don’t hide it, share it.
The more you love, the more capable you are to love even more. ”
He wasn’t a man of many words, somewhat like Chris himself, and when he spoke, his daughter’s listened with their hearts.
And those words registered deeply with him because Zenobia was his treasure. He had always thought of her as such.
After the wedding, the two newlyweds had departed (separately) for their honeymoons. And surprisingly, Zenobia had insisted they visit the continent.
Apparently she wanted to travel with him. She had said his dreams were important to her, so here they stood, on a ferry to Calais, France and then off to Paris. Perhaps more. Since this trip wasn’t so much for sightseeing, they were planning it as they went.
With the wind in her hair, he looked over at Zenobia. His wife. His beautiful wife with a sparkle in her eye. She was up to something.
“What are you thinking about?” he prompted her.
“Just a little something from our past.” Given how many memories that had swamped him lately, he couldn’t imagine that she would bring up something he hadn’t thought of in vivid detail.
“What’s that?”
“I’ve always been curious about it. I’m hoping you can tell me now. What did you wish for that night when we saw the shooting star?” Zenobia asked him with a cheeky, hopeful, little grin.
Given what they had gone through, he didn’t think it necessary to keep his wish to himself anymore, so he decided to share it with her. “I wished that you would always be brave and take the shots you wanted to take in life.”
Zenobia’s eyes welled with tears, and she interlaced her fingers with his. He pulled her into his chest and kissed her hair. “What did you wish for, my treasure?”
Sotto voce, she said, “I wished for you to never give up on your dreams.”
And he squeezed her tighter.
“Is that why we’re here?”
“Partly,” she said in a rough whisper, “and partly to show you how much I love you.”
“I know how much you love me. You risked your life for me. You shot a man for me.”
She slapped his arm. “I didn’t shoot a man. I shot above him. Like you told me too.”
He teasingly rubbed his jaw, “I suppose I did do that. Good thing we paid that visit to the fortuneteller then, otherwise I might not have thought of that plan so quickly on my feet.”
“Hmmm…about that fortuneteller, she was so wrong about us.”
“Yes, I gave her and her words some thought through this whole ordeal. And I keep coming back to her saying that it was next to impossible, yet it was a choice.”
“It’s a good thing we chose each other then, and didn’t heed her words.” Nobi slipped her hands around Chris’s waist and pressed a kiss against his neck. No one was around, and even if they were, he didn’t think she would have noticed.
“Or perhaps next to impossible is the perfect place to be.”
“Yes, there’s that…”
“Or?”
“Well, there’s another place I wouldn’t mind being.” She hinted with her eyebrows and he scooped her up carrying them to the little room he had secured. Foresight told him they might need some privacy, even on the short jaunt across the water.
Once he had her in the room, he kicked the door shut.
“Tell me more about that place you want to be, Nobi.”
“I think I could be…here,” she leaned against the door he had just slammed shut, and he growled in response.
“Or…I could be here…” she sat down on one of the chairs and casually spread her legs.
When he moaned, she stood up quickly and made her way to the small cot.
“But I really think I’d like to be here right now.
” Button by button, she slowly started to undo the side of her dress. Chris was there in a flash.
“I need to be here, too.” His fingers peeled back the layers of her dress, and then he slipped one finger between the valley of her breasts. “And I need to be here.” She mewled in response. “And I need to be here,” he said, dragging his finger down to her core.
“I vowed to obey you,” she murmured.
“And I vowed to cherish you, let me show you how much I can cherish you.” He took her mouth in his and on her gasp, he swirled his tongue into her mouth. She sucked on him and nibbled on his bottom lip, grasping at his head, holding him close.
Her passion fueled the already lit flame inside of him and his cocked swelled, knowing where this kiss was headed.
“You’re my love,” she whispered into his ear.
“You’re my dream,” he whispered back.
Gently, he laid her down on the bed. Layer by layer, he peeled off his clothes until his chest puffed out instinctively with pride that she was his. And then his cock bobbed up to show her how beyond control his feelings were for her.
“You’re even more beautiful to me today than the day I met you. I’ll never stop loving you.”
In reply, she reached up and pulled him back down for a kiss.
His cock nestled between her legs, he could feel her entire body tremble at his touch. Her hands flew to his backside, demanding, and her legs opened wide, making room for him.
Then her heels locked around his lower back and she lifted her hips to his, searching for his manhood.
“A lady was never meant to be so wanton as I am with you.” She shuddered when his tip notched at her entrance.
“You’re my lady, and you can be however you want.” He pressed a kiss to her neck.
“Mark me as yours, Chris,” she begged him.
And his teeth sunk into her neck, sucking hard until he knew he had fulfilled her request.
“Take me to the place only you can,” she pleaded, pushing up and taking him into her.
He groaned at the feel of her all around him. “You’re so wet, so tight, so perfect for me.”
“You’re perfect for me.”
He thrust into her, and each time she rose to meet him, her breaths grew shorter and faster.
“Chris, I-I-I’m coming. Ooooh,” she squealed her pleasure and that sound wrapped tightly around his cock at the same time she clenched his quim around him.
Together they came, reaching new heights of euphoria.
Never had he felt so complete, so happy, so fully himself and loved.
This was an adventure he wanted to take over and over again.
He was hers, and she was his forever.
And it was perfect.
And they were perfect for each other the rest of their days, the Duke and his lady.
