The Emperor Claims His Forced Empress
Prologue
I was the Crown Prince of the enemy kingdom, always masked on the battlefield, feared as the Jade-Faced Shura.
After my capture, the new emperor Yuwen Huang forced me to remove my mask. When he saw my face, he demanded I become his Empress.
For the sake of my people.
I endured.
Who knew that on the eve of the grand wedding, he lost his memories.
His mind stopped at the days when we fought desperately on the battlefield.
In court he raged:
“I would rather be blind than ever make a man my Empress!”
Then he stormed into the courtyard where I was confined, saw me without the mask, stared in awe, and seized my hand:
“Beloved, what is your name? I am going to make you my Empress!”
The eunuch beside him trembled:
“Your Majesty, he is a man! And you just said—”
He cut him off impatiently:
“That was then! I have changed my mind now. Is that not allowed?”
I watched his righteous face and silently tightened my grip on the Birth Potion hidden in my sleeve.
Yuwen Huang, you are finished.
