I found him sitting outside by the pool. The sun had set and the moon was casting a silver glow across the water, the world, and him. He looked almost ethereal in this light. I walked up to him slowly, as quietly as possible. Taking these last few moments just to make sure this was what I wanted to do. But when I snapped a small twig underfoot, and he turned around and looked at me the way he did, I knew I was in no doubt of what I was going to say next.
“One time,” I said, looking at him.
“One time what?” he asked.
“Just one time. Just once. And just tonight.”
He turned his entire body towards me. “Wait . . . I just want to make sure I’m thinking what you’re thinking—”
“Sex. You and I. One time.”
“You’re serious?” he asked.
“Dead serious. But just this once. And just tonight.”
He stood up in all his hot fucking glory and took a stride towards me. “You sure that’s what you want?”
“Yes.”
“And you can do that?”
“Yes.”
“And you can do that because . . .” He took another one of his big, hot-man strides towards me. “Because you don’t have any feelings for me?”
“No feelings,” I said quickly. “None.”
“So just sex, then?” he asked again. What was he not getting about what I was saying?
I nodded. “Sex. And no . . . you know.” I gestured below. “Nothing down there unless it’s your hand, or cock. Just sex. And just tonight.”
“Why now?” he asked.
“Because I’ve been thinking and I know why this keeps happening to us, why we have this constant sexual attraction. It’s because we didn’t get any closure all those years ago. It was all left up in the air and I think it’s driving us both mad. So we need to have sex, right now, to get it out of our systems once and for all. Close that door.”
“So you want to have sex with me for closure. That’s it?”
I nodded, but my head wanted to shake instead.
“Just once. Just tonight and no feelings?” he asked again.
“Just once. Just tonight. And I know there’ll be no feelings.”
