Chapter 18

Dale

My first day back at work I had too many thoughts going through my mind to concentrate.

Luckily, my co-workers had returned all-too distracted as well. It took us time and concentration to get back into the routines we’d left behind and forge ahead into this new year.

Aspen’s emotions crowded the link between us. Apprehension and sadness were prominent. Like a heavy cloud hanging over my head. At the same time, his sparkling essence swam through me. It felt like he was sitting right next to me at my desk all day, looking over my shoulder, patting my back.

That night, we got on the phone in bed again.

“How was your day?” I asked.

“Distracting.”

“Me, too. But I felt you close to me. Do you feel that?”

“I do. It’s the only thing keeping me patient until Friday.”

“Tomorrow’s Wednesday. Then we only have to get through Thursday before we can meet and be together for three whole days.”

“I know.”

Our jobs often kept us late or we’d be having dinner together every night. We both discussed how this would go. Weekends together. And evenings, too, if we both got off work early enough. Being back from vacation meant overtime, so this first week was going to be our hardest.

Lunches were not feasible, either. We took them at different times, or skipped them altogether, eating at our desks, if we were too swamped.

Finally, Friday arrived.

“I’m leaving work by five no matter what,” Aspen stated in a text.

“Me, too.”

We agreed to meet at his condo. I’d packed for the weekend and stored everything in my trunk.

When I left work, I was practically running. Co-workers called out “Goodbye” and “Have a good weekend.” I barely responded.

I drove up Aspen’s short driveway, double-checking the GPS that I was at the right place.

When I got out of my car and went to my trunk, his front door opened.

He waved, grinning, then ran across a tiny lawn sparkling with frost and jumped into my open arms. His legs went around my waist. I had to brace one hand on my car to keep from falling over.

“Dale.” He threw his arms around my neck and kissed me.

I kissed him back, my mouth opening. It was like no time had passed. We were on vacation again. We were by each other’s side where we were supposed to be.

After about half a minute, he let his legs slide off me and stood facing me. “Let’s get you inside. I have pizza and wings.”

“I’m hungry for you,” I said, laughing.

“I’ll be there, too.”

“For dessert?”

He joined in my laughter.

He helped me with my bag. I hadn’t brought a lot, but I had a clothing bag and a separate case for my laptop.

When we got inside, the smell of pizza filled the air.

“That smells great.”

“It was just delivered so it’s still hot,” he said. He set my bags down in the living room.

I followed him into a combination dining room and kitchen area. He had already set the table with napkins, plates, forks and drinks.

We sat facing each other and began to stuff our faces.

In between gulps of food, we shared our day’s events. When we were full, we cleaned up and went into his living room.

He had a lovely condo with tall ceilings and a second story with a huge bedroom and office area. I had yet to see those rooms, but he had told me all about them.

We had after dinner wine on the couch and couldn’t stop talking, as if it had been ages since we’d communicated. That was love. When you couldn’t get enough of the other person, when you stayed up all night sharing everything that came into your mind.

With full stomachs, and some wine, we moved closer together until Aspen was practically sitting in my lap. Our talk turned to kisses. I pulled him closer and nuzzled his neck and shoulders. He wrapped his arms around my neck and held the back of my head.

Things heated up quickly after that. More kissing. More nuzzling and moaning.

I pulled back, still tasting him on my lips. “You haven’t shown me your bedroom yet.”

“What are we waiting for?”

Aspen jumped up from my lap and held out his hand. I took it and he pulled me from the couch. We gathered my belongings and climbed the stairs.

When I walked in, I nearly gasped. “This is the lap of luxury.”

There was so much to take in. A dark purple comforter with matching curtains. Blue carpet. Black nightstands with stained glass lamps. Like the downstairs, this room had a tall ceiling, sloping to follow the shape of the slanted roof. A central light fixture with a fan hung in the middle.

Aspen turned in a circle, arms out. “What do you think?”

“It's beautiful. Your condo is luxurious.”

“Thanks. I can afford to have nice things now. I had someone come in and help design the room. The color scheme is all mine, though.”

“Blue and purple and black. They all seem to fit perfectly. They're my colors, too. Wait till you see my place. You might be surprised.”

It was a little like we were long lost twins. We had the exact same tastes. As if we already lived together and just didn't know it.

Aspen came forward and put his arms around me. “Take me to my bed, please.”

I bent and picked him up, surprising a squawk out of him.

I placed him on the bed and crawled over him, my knees on either side of his thighs.

We were both still fully clothed. It didn't matter.

He was already pulling me to him, tugging my white work shirt up out of my waistband, undoing my buttons.

The sight of him, even just the thought of spending the whole weekend with him—made me hard. I’d been tingling all day.

“Dale, I need to feel you. Right now.”

I kissed him, laughing again. “That will be no problem at all.”

Together, we unbuttoned, unzipped, slid, pulled and tugged off our clothes. We were both flushed and breathless when we stripped away that last sock, that last pair of boxers. Our cocks sprung up, equally hard. The bond between us lit up.

Aspen fell back, spreading his legs. I knelt and crouched over him. His legs circled my hips. We kissed and rubbed our bodies together. All week I had been fantasizing about this moment.

“I’m so wet for you,” Aspen whispered.

“You want me?”

“I need you. All of you.”

I pushed up and grabbed a spare pillow. “Lift your hips.”

Aspen’s lean thigh muscles rippled as he obeyed. I shoved the pillow under his lower back. His knees stopped hugging me and splayed wide. His cock jerked against his abdomen.

I reached down and cupped his balls, then ran my fingers down his crack.

He surprised me by lifting his legs into the air. I could now see his twitching hole. I ran my finger over it. The muscle moved. The rim softened at my touch. Before my eyes, this beautiful omega was opening for me.

I pushed my finger inside, listening to Aspen’s lust-filled sighs.

Using two fingers, I curved them, stretching the rim, thrusting into slick warmth.

“More,” Aspen called out.

I thrust them deeper, seeking out that sweet bump and finding it. His entire body jerked. He tossed his head on the pillow and moaned.

My cock ached to be inside him.

I removed my fingers. His hole shrunk, then opened again as if seeking the fullness it was now missing.

“Ready?” I asked.

“You already know the answer.” His eyes were closed, his mouth half-open.

I grabbed my shaft and lined up, pressing the tip gently against that little mouth. The slick ran thick. My cock slid down his crack, then back up. When I pulled back to aim again, a string of his slick connected us. My balls reacted, ready to come.

“Damn, you’re so pretty.”

“No more teasing. Put it in me.”

I flicked my hips, watching my hardness sink into him. He took me easily. I hadn’t forgotten how well we fit together. Two puzzle pieces made to complete each other.

I hissed at the way his muscles grabbed me, milked me, embraced me.

“I won’t last.” Each word came on a separate breath.

“Hurry. Go harder. I’m about to come, too.”

I doubled my speed, pounding into him as I lost control. My orgasm flashed down my spine and all the way to my toes as my balls let loose. I spurted hard deep inside him, calling his name.

“Aspen!”

“Dale, give it all to me.”

I was on my knees, seeing stars. As my focus unblurred, I saw him spread out before me, chest heaving, cock squirting, the spray hitting his ribs and chest. The walls of his insides pulsed, lengthening my orgasm.

When I could breathe again, I collapsed on top of him as his arms came around me. Our breaths mingled.

“I wanted to knot you.”

“It’s okay,” Aspen said. “It’s rarer outside a heat.”

“But I want it,” I whined.

He chuckled, his chest shuddering.

I craved everything with him, all barriers erased. All vulnerabilities exposed. I wanted to watch him come apart and then break myself into little pieces to mix in with it all. He made me feel like I was someone I’d always wanted to be.

His bed was so comfortable. We slept tangled together. I wanted the night to last forever.

Alas, it was only one weekend, although one of many.
