Chapter Six #2
I hurry to walk next to him. He’s silent, as he often is in public.
We pass Ollie’s door but he stops at the next.
It’s not Kai’s room and I’ve never seen anyone use it.
He unlocks it magically and steps in. I notice his eyes sweeping the room and I wonder if he always does that, or if it’s because he thinks I need similar protection to Ollie.
That makes me feel a certain way but I can’t quite tell if it’s a warm feeling that he wants me safe, or indignant that he thinks me incapable. Maybe both.
The wooden door had swung open on silent hinges.
Inside is a large bed, topped in a cozy green quilt and fluffy pillows.
Next to a large window overlooking the forest there is a cherrywood wardrobe with leaves carved around the edges.
As I step inside, I see a small bathroom, the door partially obstructed by a huge claw-foot bathtub that looks as if it is a new addition.
I spin, eyes wide, to look at Kai. He sheepishly runs his hand through his curls and I fly at him, wrapping my arms around his chest. It’s such an unexpected and thoughtful gesture that tears prick my eyes. A room of my own.
“Ollie helped,” he mumbles against my lips. I grin harder at the normally reserved and hardened Fae, trying to downplay his part.
I squeeze him again before I step back slowly.
“C’mon, Lonan is waiting,” I say, though I want to take a bath right this very second.
We head silently upstairs, Kai’s hand on my lower back in an easy, protective gesture.
It’s sweet, and it makes my heart sing. It also makes me want to practice my bladework, so I’m not a liability in battle, another person to protect.
I frown, making myself a note to ask him to start working with me.
Lonan is lounging in just his sleep pants stretched out on one of the couches, his intricate black tattoos spanning from his hands to his muscled chest. His gill slits are just below the ink. He looks up from the book in his lap as we enter.
“Oh, stones,” he says, looking between us, “I thought you were grabbing the dinner.” He starts to stand but Kai waves him down.
“Sit, mate, I’ll run down and grab it.” He turns and heads back down.
“C’mere, Finn,” Lo says, his rich voice sinking into me.
I sit delicately next to him, avoiding touching his body. His happy chuckle bursts out.
“I thought we had gotten over the stiffness between us on our swim?” he asks as he leans his back to the edge of the couch and tucks one his legs behind me, leaving the other on the floor. I try to relax.
Our time in the bay had been wonderful. I hadn’t been fully submerged, let alone in a natural body of water, in a long time. Lonan had been respectful and kept chat light. It had been... friendly.
“So, on a scale of one to ten,” Lonan starts, eyes back on his book, “How much do you hate this thing with Vale?”
I guffaw. He peeks over his book at me questioningly.
I clear my throat. “Well, I mean, I obviously don’t love anything that splits Ollie’s time further, but you heard her. Vale adores her. Worships her, I’d bet.” I shake my head, a bit in awe of how long they had been together when she gave it all up for retribution.
I continue, “I mean, imagine that you and Kai had been together for ten years, and you wanted to bond but he refused, then he went off on a quest, only to reach out to you, so you show up, what? Three? Four? Months after he left and you find he has two spirit mates and a husband? Who, obviously, hate and are threatened by you. How would you feel?”
Lo places the book on his muscular stomach and scrutinizes me. I look away awkwardly.
I gather my courage and continue with a shrug. “The man is heartbroken. He’s probably feeling really insecure and terrified he’s going to lose her again. And we all know how incredible Ollie is. Stones, I’ve only known her a month and I’m in lov—”
I stop, realizing I shouldn’t say that. I feel my cheeks heat as I look down at my hands in my lap.
Lonan calmly closes his book and puts it on the table.
He sits up and grabs my shirt and tugs me over him as he lays back down.
I follow him but once on top of him, I freeze, hands braced near his shoulders.
His voice is quiet. “You love her? You love Oleander?”
I meet his deep red eyes and nod slowly, half terrified of what he’ll say to my admission. “Who wouldn’t?” I whisper.
“And us?” Lonan’s voice holds both tenderness and apprehension. “Kai? Me?”
I close my eyes, his gaze too intense for me right now, “I could.”
His other hand curls around the back of my neck, in my hair. I lean my face down, resting it upon his tattooed chest as confusion swirls inside me.
“Finnick.” Lonan murmurs, his nose in my hair, “Let me kiss you.”
My head snaps up in shock.
He, unlike Kai, hasn’t really given me any indication that he’d want a sexual relationship with me. I had hoped we’d become good friends at least, but his interest in me has seemed only that. Of friendship.
His large deep red eyes stare me down, silent, waiting.
“Al—alright,” I say finally, my stomach dancing with nervousness.
His hand tightens in my hair as the other drops under my ribs. My eyes close and I moan without meaning to.
When his lips touch mine, my cock jerks between us.
Lo must feel it for he chuckles into our kiss.
His tongue swipes my closed lips and I open for him.
He makes an approving sound that dives right to my dick, and he quickly uses his tongue to show me who will be in charge here.
He kisses me deeply, as though he’d own me simply from the forceful way he explores my mouth.
“Well, well, well,” Kai purrs, arms crossed, the platter of food on the table in front of us. “Very glad to see the two of you getting on so nicely.”
Lonan starts to laugh uproariously. I blink, trying to figure it out, looking between them.
“Come now, flame, we both want this,” Lo says unrepentantly.
I look between them, half shocked and half nervous. And half horny.
“Get up, pretty boy, and undress for us.” Kai’s not suggesting. It’s a command and I shiver.
As I climb off Lonan, he swiftly gives my ass cheek a pinch, smiling innocently.
I’d never been with male Fae before. Shit, I’d only been with two female Fae besides Ollie.
Kai tosses himself on the couch, legs spread, and Lonan sits up and snuggles against him. To watch me. I stifle a shiver.
I undo my belt and let it drop. My hands are shaking. But my cock is hard.
Pulling my shirt off, I look between these two dangerous Fae. That, somehow, don’t hate me for having to marry their spirit mate.
“Come on, now, Finn. The pants,” Lonan urges.
It makes me smile, that he’s excited too. I tug them down.
“Ohh, look at him. His cock is so green,” Lo purrs, sliding off the couch to kneel in front of me.
He wraps a hand around me and I yelp, the move unexpected. He thumbs back my foreskin and I bite my lip, unable to look away from the sight of his hand on my cock.
Kai cups his dick over his pants and makes a pleased noise. Lonan leans in and licks my tip. I groan, hips shifting forward.
“Mmm, you taste perfect, Finnick,” Lonan purrs.
Kai grunts, “I want to watch you fuck him, Lo.”
Lonan’s head turns to Kai. “Ohh, I’m allowed to play with a male?” His voice is teasing and I wonder again at their dynamic. I know they have been bonded decades but not much of the intimate side of their partnership.
“This one particular male, brat,” Kai clarifies, to Lonan’s chuckle.
“What do you say, Finnick? Can I fuck your cute ass?”
I swallow and nod.
“Good boy,” they both say at the same time.
Kai reaches out and takes my hand, pulling me easily back to the couch. I sit and they settle on either side of me. Kai leans down and pulls my cock into his mouth.
He starts to really suck me, an even pace and his hand resting on my thigh, as Lonan turns my face to him, kissing me deeply. I moan, lost to them both.
Kai lets go of my cock and sits up, hand wrapping around my neck sensually, before he kisses me; Lonan’s face resting against the side of my head, as Kai kisses me in the slowest, most intense manner. I shiver as they lean to each other and kiss directly in front of my face.
Lonan stands and takes my hand, leading me to the fireplace. There’s a plush rug and Lonan tugs me down onto it with him.
He kisses me, again possessive, owning my mouth, as we kneel, cocks rubbing. I moan and rock my hips. I feel Lo smile into our kiss. I feel his pre-cum on my skin and it makes me shiver.
“Don’t be worried, pretty boy,” Kai says as he comes to kneel on the rug too. He places a glass jar down. “Lonan is a skilled lover, he’ll make sure your first time is good.”
I blink, looking between them. “How... how did you—”
They both laugh, but it’s kind. Lonan smiles. “You’re entirely too nervous for it not to be.”
I purse my lips, looking between them.
A tiny smile plays at Kai’s lips. “I mean, Ollie’s fucked his ass, but this will be the first warm cock, won’t it?”
I nod, silent.
Lonan squeezes my cock, drawing my attention back. “You don’t need to do anything but feel. I expect you’ll cum early and quick, and that’s fine.” He leans in and kisses me again.
I’m entirely too shocked to say anything; embarrassment bubbles in my gut but Lonan’s hands, and lips, quickly drive that away.
“I think he’s ready,” Kai rumbles, “Don’t you agree, Finn?”
I nod, turned on beyond belief.
“Kneel then, let us see that asshole,” he commands.
I blush and do as told. As soon as I’m in position, I hear the jar open and shortly, I feel the cool liquid on my intimate flesh. I look over my shoulder just as Lonan drags his fingers between my cheeks. I groan, eyes closing.
“Atta boy,” Kai says, hushed.
Lonan presses two wet fingers into me and I yelp. His other hand goes to my hip, and he pulls me back. “Lean into it, Finn. Try to open for me.”
