Outlaw #4
“Ah, you are after my heart!” She cocked her head slightly at him, then gave him a genuine smile. “I have a special vodka… for special friends. It is called Jewel of Russia. Very rare here. Would you like to try?”
“Yes, I would. Thank you, Tatiana.” He watched Tatiana open the bar’s small refrigerator and pull out a black-labeled bottle. She filled a crystal double-shot glass half full, then poured a double for him.
Victor watched her in awe. She moved with a feline grace that was beyond sexy.
Then she was sitting on the couch next to him.
She held out his glass, and he nearly dropped it, he was so enthralled with her beauty.
“Oops,” he laughed as he got a hold of the glass.
He watched her watch him, then she sat back and pulled her very long legs up under her.
He noticed the heels she was wearing were red-soled Louboutins.
“Victor… may I ask question?”
“Oh. Of course.” Victor smiled.
Tatiana smiled back warmly. “You never spend time with… escort girl before, yes?”
“Oh… ah, yes—er, uh, no. No, I have not. Is it that easy to tell?” He smiled shyly.
“Yes. But is good thing.”
He watched her reach out and set her soft, incredibly warm hand upon his.
Her long nails were perfectly done in a deep shade of sexy.
He could feel his heart begin to pound as she began circling her soft fingers over the top of his hand.
Here he thought he was going to portray a cool James Bond, but he knew he was far out of his league.
Tatiana leaned close and held his eyes with her deep blue ones. “Victor…” she breathed seductively, “when is the last time?”
He winced slightly. “Uh… a very long time ago. Uh… four years?” Her hand slowly reached up and caressed his clean-shaven cheek, and his heart triple-timed.
“I take extra special care of you tonight. You have no worry here with me.” She stared deeply into his eyes, leaned closer, and whispered, “As many times as you need. Time is no limit for you tonight… I will please you like no other girl. My promise.”
Victor swallowed hard as her sweet breath wafted across his face.
She began tracing her lips delicately over his forehead, then down his cheek.
Chills of pleasure were racing through his body as she continued.
Her hand reached down, removed the untouched vodka from his hand, and set it down.
He felt her hand on his again. She grasped it lightly, and with her controlling his hand, she moved it slowly up and across her long, bare legs, over her hips, and across her camisole.
She rested his hand up under her hair on her soft neck.
Then, with aching slowness, she leaned her full, red lips closer and closer to his.
A rush of ecstasy flooded his body as her warm, incredibly soft lips finally met his...
Victor woke staring up at the ceiling. There were fiber-optic stars on the ceiling twinkling down at him.
Next to him, he could feel Tatiana curled up on his chest, sleeping.
Or at least pretending to sleep. Never in his life had he felt so relaxed and satiated.
The feeling of this beautiful woman spooning him was beyond anything he ever imagined.
All due to a gorgeous assassin who was sitting in his apartment listening to everything.
He remembered his job and began to get up.
He felt Tatiana grasp him tighter and whisper with such an innocent voice it stabbed at his heart.
“Please… stay little bit longer?”
His heart swelled. He turned onto his back and pulled her close.
She nuzzled her head up under his chin, reached over him, and held on like her life depended upon him.
Suddenly, he was in heaven. He knew that this was what he wanted.
What he… what he would fight for, as Veronica suggested.
He was tired of making other men powerful by the speeches he wrote and the plans he formulated for their success… rather than his own.
He felt her fingertips gently turn his face down toward hers.
In the dim, artificial starlight, he met her eyes.
She looked so innocent all of a sudden, it practically scared him.
Then she spoke as if she were baring her soul.
Was this some act? he thought. But his heart and head told him differently.
“Victor… I—I do not kiss other men on lips. Is silly rule. I want you… to understand this is special for you. I see many men… too macho, too big in the head. You… you are very nice man. You remind me of home… thank you.”
He kissed her forehead softly and pulled her close, as tight as he dared. “I wish I could freeze time with you here in my arms… forever. Thank you, Tatiana. I’ve never felt more… alive than I do right now. Thank you.”
He felt her fall asleep, and soon he was out, too.
The smell of fresh coffee woke him with a start. He bolted upright, and sitting next to him was Tatiana. She had been watching him. She smiled warmly and handed him the cup.
“I not sleep this good in many years,” she said.
“Oh… thank you. Uh, me either.” Victor smiled, accepting the cup. He took a sip, and the coffee tasted delicious. Embarrassed, he glanced around the brightly lit bedroom. “I… well?”
Tatiana laughed lightly, set her hand on his bare thigh, and met his eye. “One more time for the road, as Americans say?” She stood up, closed the drapes, and slipped off her robe, revealing, in the shadows, the outline of her gorgeous body. “But this time… is for me, yes?”
“Oh my God… yes!”
Victor stared at his apartment door for the longest time, thinking.
Would Veronica be angry with him? Was she waiting to shoot him as soon as he walked through the door?
Would she torture him for not being home last night instead of late this morning?
He swallowed hard as all his thoughts screamed at him to run.
Then he took a breath and suddenly remembered how Tatiana made him feel.
He felt like a man for the first time in his thirty-seven years of life.
He decided that if he died today, he would die a man, thankful for finally seeing the light.
Without another thought, he unlocked his door and strode right in.
“Well, congratulations, Mr. O’Sullivan. It looks as though you found yourself.”
Victor stared at Veronica smiling at him. She had no gun or knife. She was just standing there smiling. “Uh... I guess a ‘thank you’ is in order?”
“Fucking right it is. Did you place the bug and remote cell phone jammer exactly where I asked?”
“I did.”
“Very good.” Jessie smiled and patted the couch.
Victor made his way over, took off his jacket, folded it, and set it over the back of the couch, then sat down. “You heard everything…” he sighed.
“I did. She was very sweet and very real with you… I knew she would be.”
Victor looked up, startled. “You did? How?”
“I know her… from a very long time ago. She told me of a boy she liked, and he would bring her one single red rose. Her description of him was… well, you. We were chained up together for a short time…”
“What? Oh, God. No… she didn’t get rescued like you did?”
“I was the only one rescued, Victor. The man who saved me wanted to save us all… our governments decided that taking any girls off that ship was not an option.”
“Oh, God… she’s? No! Tatiana is a sex slave?” He gasped.
“Yes. Yes, she is.”
“I feel sick…”
“Why?”
“I—I made it worse for her! I perpetuated her situation! I—I…”
“Shut up,” Jessie ordered. Victor stopped mid-word and glared at Jessie.
“Did she have a good time? Were you not kind… loving even?”
“Well… yes, but…”
“She doesn’t often get treated the way you treated her. She always has to hide her bruises… did you see her nude in the full light?”
“No! Oh my God! I have to do something! I can’t stand knowing what she has to deal with… she lives right across the street. Oh, God… I used to watch… I’m gonna be sick!” Victor bolted off the couch and sprinted to the bathroom and began heaving his guts out into the toilet.
Jessie followed and waited with a towel in hand. When he finally had his head out of the toilet, she tossed him the towel.
“Feel like making a difference yet?”
“Yes! Anything… ANYTHING!” he yelled angrily.
Jessie let out a chuckle, then eyed Victor with a gleam in her eye. “Even an accessory to murder?”
