Chapter 2

MariahScary: Okay, so I am new to the Griffin Sisters’ music (Evermore fan here!) and I’ve been listening to their album and I love love love every single song but especially The Only Lonely Girl and Flavor of the Week and Last Night in Fishtown.

I have looked and looked but I can’t find more songs.

Is this it?

HatLady: Oh my sweet summer child

Bonobo: Who’s gonna tell her?

Richard_Jones: Google is your friend

HatLady: Don’t be a dick u/Richard_Jones.

HatLady: Yes, u/MariahScary, the band only recorded one album before they broke up.

No more music.

And it was Cassie Griffin and Russell D’Angelo who wrote almost all of their songs.

ScreamingMimi: Um, FYI, Russell was not JUST the Sisters’ band’s songwriter and guitar player.

He founded a band himself—they were called Sky King, their music is pretty good.

Think Gin Blossoms meets Mumford & Sons.

HatLady: Cam Gratz went on to play for other bands, including—I think?—Bluebonnet and Bloody Sundae.

Maybe others? Tommy Kelleher became a studio player.

Zoe Griffin, last I heard, is remarried and has kids.

Nobody knows where Cassie Griffin went.

MercyMe: One of the unsolved musical mysteries of our time.

Richard_Jones: LOL shes too big to disappear.

Moderator: Reminder, no fat-shaming or negative body talk here! u/Richard_Jones, this is your first warning! Let’s keep it positive, everyone!

MariahScary: Just FYI, I did google.

I also saw the big “Where Are They Now”

story in People, but I thought maybe you guys might know more.

99Problems: Wish we did.

Wish there was more to know.

Bonobo: TGS were ahead of their time.

Cassie especially.

It breaks my heart they never did more than the one album.

MariahScary: Can famous people really just disappear, though?

HatLady: I don’t know if “people”

can.

But Cassie did.
