Epilogue

NATHAN

FOUR MONTHS LATER

Warmth surrounds me, cocooning me in a ball so hot I’m surprised I’m not sweating. Picking my head up, I grunt under my breath when I see both Kace and Colson cuddling into me—legs wrapped around each of mine and both of their heads on my chest, sleeping peacefully.

Thank fuck I don’t need to pee. It’d be like removing not one, but two comatose koala bears off you at six in the damn morning.

My head flops back down on the pillow. Sunlight streams through the sheer curtains, and I take a minute to soak in the happiness and warmth that exists within the space.

No cold draft in a dark hallway.

No footsteps pacing in boredom, right next to our bed.

Just sunlight, peace and quiet, and comfort.

It’s been seven months since our release—one month earlier than expected, based on our “good” behavior—and I still take time every single morning to soak up the lightness that is this feeling.

It’s surreal to realize how much you truly miss when you’re taken away from everything positive, and I never want to go a single day without being thankful that we survived the negative to get back to this place.

I bring my hands out from under my head to rub both of their backs, needing to feel them.

Even in their sleep, they nuzzle into me, and the happiness it brings me is dumbfounding.

Colson’s voice is rough from sleep. “I can feel you thinking.”

Kace follows. “Same.”

I chuckle. “You’re both awake? Before eight? Did a miracle happen overnight?”

Kace looks up at me and rolls his green eyes dramatically. “It’s not our fault you’re an old man who wakes up at the crack of dawn every damn day.”

I raise my scarred eyebrow at him. “Bratty already, eh?”

He shrugs. “It’s fine, though. At least you’re a hot old man.”

I huff. He’s lucky that there’s a blanket covering his ass right now or else I’d be making it red.

Colson nuzzles into me more, keeping his eyes closed. “Our old man.”

“Would you two brats stop calling me old? For fuck’s sake, I’m only forty.”

Colson chuckles, only cracking one eye open. He looks at Kace with a hidden smirk. “You owe me ten bucks. Told you he’d forget.”

My forehead scrunches down as I look at the smug satisfaction on Colson’s face, paired with the pout on Kace’s. “Huh?”

They both ignore me as Kace whines. “C’mon. That’s not fair! You’ve known him way longer than I have.”

Colson shrugs. “Yeah, but you still had his cock buried inside your cunt last night, so that makes you fair game for all bets.”

Kace’s complexion instantly matches the shade of a firetruck. “We were filming content!”

Now it’s my turn to snort. “Yeah, good excuse. Doesn’t derail the fact that my cock was still buried inside you when the camera went off, huh, Princess? Or all the other times we weren’t filming.”

Kace turns his glare on me. “You don’t even know what we’re talking about, old man.”

I shrug. “Just stating the facts. Now, will you two tell me what bet I’m missing out on?”

Colson and Kace look at each other and smile just before they throw the blanket off us and crawl down my body. The sudden shift has me on alert, and I swear my cock inflates just as fast when they both paw at the waistband of my boxers. “What the fuck is happening this morning?”

A hiss tears itself out of my mouth as Colson wraps a hand around my cock, jerking it until I’m rock hard. As soon as it’s there, Kace’s mouth is on my tip. He hums when Colson moves below him, sucking on my balls, and I can’t help the way my back arches into them.

It’s Kace who speaks first. “Happy birthday, Daddy. Now, let your boy toys spoil you, and then we can start our day.”

A laugh bellows out of me when I see the name of the sender on the letter in Colson’s hands. He glares at the letter as if it’s full of poison and then turns to glare at me.

“How the fuck did she find out where we live? We literally moved across the country, and she’s still tormenting me!”

I smirk. “Told you to file the restraining order.”

He sulks. “My faith in the court system is pretty fucking low at this point.”

I bite my bottom lip.

Yeah, he has a point there.

I take a sip of my iced latte and check my watch. Kace is still getting ready upstairs, and while we’re on zero timeline, I still can’t get over how long it takes the man to get ready.

At least he’s cute.

“She probably found it from the LLC paperwork. I really should have renamed the company when we relocated,” I muse.

Kace shouts to us from the bedroom. “Can it be Princess Peach Construction?”

My tone is dry. “Can you even lift a piece of drywall, Princess?”

His answering silence is all I need to know to conclude he’s pouting.

Sighing, Colson cracks open the letter from Nicole and starts reading it aloud.

Colson,

I fear you will never repent, will you? Five years in prison, and you’re still just as abhorrent as the next sinner.

Do you care about nothing other than yourself?

You didn’t answer my letters asking for money when you were in Georgia, and I had to resort to searching the internet for you?

That is almost as much of an abomination as you are!

I used to be your wife. Does that mean nothing?

“The greedy bring ruin to their households, but the one who hates bribes will live” (Proverbs 15:27).

If you read my last letter, you’ll know that I’ve left the pastor.

He was truly so boring, and the fact that we had to attend church three times a week was becoming old.

Our daughter is well, all the same. Somehow, she looks very similar to you though.

Do you know how that is? Please respond so we can set up a paternity test as soon as possible.

Colson lowers the piece of paper and slowly turns his head to me. “Bitch is fucking cracked.”

My laugh is loud and deep. “You two weren’t even having sex when you were sleeping in the same house! You don’t think she froze your cum or something, do you?”

Colson frowns. “Not unless she’s Elsa and took it out of her vagina on our wedding night. I met you a few months later.”

Kace shouts from down the hallway again. “I mean, she is an ice queen!”

I shake my head and nod toward the paper in his hand. “Keep going.”

Colson grumbles under his breath as he keeps reading.

I am still waiting on a check in the mail from you as well. You were the reason I ended up with a pastor, so you’re also the reason we split up. I had to pay for your sins, so you should pay for my expenses.

When I was finding you, I also found out where you’re still with Nathan. Such a shame. Here I thought that prison time would prove to you how karma works in mysterious ways, but alas. I should have paid that judge off more so you would get more time to learn your less—

“Wait, wait, wait, wait,” Kace comes out, smiling wide as he cuts Colson off.

I eye him appreciatively as he stands before us in black jeans, a pink jersey crop top, and freshly styled hair.

He’s been lifting more in the gym with Colson lately, and while he’s still tiny compared to us, the definition in his abs underneath the crop top is making me salivate.

“Did she just admit to paying off a judge?”

Colson squints down at the paper and rereads it. “Yeah?”

Kace doesn’t hesitate. “Report her.”

My eyebrows rise. “What?”

He turns to me and looks at me like I’m dumb. Fucking brat.

“Report her,” he repeats. “She just admitted to committing a felony. A big felony.”

Colson’s response is slow. “She… she could go to jail for writing this? Admitting to this?”

Kace smirks and pulls out his phone. After a quick internet search, his face morphs into one resembling a kid in a candy store. “Maximum penalty, up to fifteen years.”

Colson drops the letter like it just burned him. “Holy shit.”

I mimic him. “Holy shit.”

And Kace turns to me with a big smile. “We get a second chance at life, and she gets karma. If the double blow job wasn’t the best birthday gift, this definitely should be.”
