Chapter Seventeen
CHAPTER SEVENTEEN
LEENA
I step out of the shower, then scrunch my wet hair before pulling on one of Sebastian’s shirts. It’s been nearly a week since we got back from the op, and it still feels good to be home.
Even though we’ve been working tirelessly at trying to figure out who attacked us on the way home, we still keep coming up empty-handed.
When I open the door, I’m immediately greeted by the smell coming from the kitchen. I can tell right away that Luke is the one cooking, because, well… it isn’t burnt.
I step into the large kitchen, finding Sebastian sitting on the island, a beer in hand, and picking the cheese out of a little bowl sitting on the counter next to him.
“Would you stop that!” Luke notices, slapping his hand away with a smirk before turning back to the stove. I chuckle, alerting them to my presence.
“Hey, sweetheart,” Sebastian says as I make my way to stand between his legs.
“Where’s Colton?” I ask, because he hasn’t exactly left yet since we’ve been back home from the op, so I’m surprised not to see him.
“Probably out with Jace,” he says, tipping my chin up for a kiss.
A kiss that quickly turns into more than the peck I was going for.
“Hey, hey, hey. My turn,” Luke says, turning me and shoving me against Sebastian as he leans down for an equally head-spinning kiss.
When I find my way back to reality, I notice Sebastian holding up one of the bowls, smiling over my head at Luke. They lean in above me, sharing a quick kiss that somehow has my heart stopping for a moment before Luke takes the bowl and turns back to the stove, adding the ingredients to the pan.
“Sebastian Herman Chase, are you being… considerate?” I tease.
“Leena Rose Hart, don’t make me come down there. If I do, considerate won’t be the word you use to describe it.” He hums pulling me closer. I wrap my arms around him, and consider what all I can do to force him to make good on that promise, but I decide that I’m too hungry, and too tired to put in the effort. He must realize that, because he leans down to whisper just loud enough for Luke to hear.
“Don’t look so sad, sugar. We’ll have you for dessert.”
—
The night air is cool on my face, which makes me glad that our swimming pool is heated. I float here, looking up at the stars. Because yes, of course the guys needed a penthouse that came with a heated pool right outside the sliding glass doors of the dining room. Our patio takes up a decent portion of the rooftop on our building, but it’s private, a locked gate separating us from the adjacent helicopter pad and various utilities.
Like everything in our home, the pool is a moderate size, but completely overstated. There’s a spa that spills into it, complete with loungers and a full mini bar under a little gazebo in the corner. There’s even a barbecue built into one of the counters.
I drift lazily, knowing that it won’t be quiet for long.
Right on cue, I hear the sliding doors open and the sound of Sebastian and Luke as they shout… argue, laugh? Over something. As sweet as they can be, most of the time, they’re just men. I chuckle over what Ava said, “ a lot of man” indeed. I smile, because I love every second of it. Even if I don’t understand half their conversations, I love listening to them, love hearing their voices. The way they joke around with each other, it’s comforting.
Because I’m not alone anymore.
I’m not running either.
I’m home.
I brace myself, holding my breath when I hear two large splashes announce that they’re joining me in the pool. I brush my hair out of my face as I move backward to sit on the steps at the shallow end.
I’m not sure if stalk is the right word, but that’s exactly what this feels like as they move toward me. But I’m not scared. The two of them are so fucking sexy that I’m having a hard time breathing as I take in the sight of them. They both have the most striking blue eyes. Even Sebastian’s, which are a little darker, are illuminated by the lights in the pool. Luke’s blond hair is getting a little longer, and it’s dripping water down over his wet skin.
I want to kiss those drops off him.
When they reach the shallow end, they both stand. Sebastian, with his hulking frame and tattoos, Luke with his perfectly toned muscles. Their shorts cling to their bodies in the most revealing way.
My guys with their shirts off are sexy as hell. But my guys with their shirts off while they’re soaking wet? When the dim light does nothing but lend shadows to accentuate their muscles?
God, it’s the best view in the world.
“She looks a little wet, don’t you think, Seb?” Luke says, his eyes never leaving me.
“Not nearly wet enough,” Sebastian growls out and they each manage to get ahold of an ankle. I laugh as they drag me toward them until they can reach my hands and pull me closer, tucking me between them and moving until we’re deep enough that only they can touch and I’m left helpless in their arms.
I’m facing Sebastian, and I can’t help but study every inch of his perfect face. He has some stubble, but that does nothing to hide his strong features. He smiles softly, and I love seeing him like this. Love how the hard lines of his face relax when he’s with me and Luke.
I lean in, wrapping my arms around his neck and taking advantage of our proximity by pressing my lips against his. He smiles again, his full lips taking my mouth slowly. His touch lights a fire through my entire body and I don’t even notice how cold it is anymore.
I chuckle when I feel Luke untie the back of my swimsuit, then Sebastian chuckles when that swimsuit is pulled out from between us, followed by my bottoms, leaving me completely naked.
I press my body closer to Sebastian’s hard chest, and we slide against each other, our skin slick from the water between us. He quickly takes my mouth again as I wrap my legs around his waist, hating how the water keeps separating us and needing to hold on. To be closer to him.
Sebastian chuckles again, and I can only assume his swim trunks are now gone as well.
I feel Luke behind me then, his arms wrapping around me and Sebastian. The hard length of him pressed into my back. I turn, finding his mouth waiting for me.
I kiss him, squeezing my legs tighter around Sebastian and then wrapping an arm around the back of Luke’s neck, pulling him closer to us so all our mouths are a breath apart. And suddenly, I’m not even sure who’s kissing who anymore. It’s a shared moment between the three of us, where I’m kissing the corner of Luke’s mouth while he kisses Sebastian. Then Sebastian is kissing me, and so is Luke, and I’m so fucking turned on I cannot get enough of either of them.
I need them inside me. Both of them. Right now.
It’s then that I hear it.
A helicopter is flying over and I’m suddenly aware that the three of us are naked, illuminated clearly by the light of the pool. I glance up, shielding my eyes as I try to determine how far away it is.
When my hair starts flying into my face, and the water in the pool stirs around us, I realize it’s not that far.
The sound of the blades is deafening.
Luke and Sebastian hold me tighter between them, no doubt to shield my naked body.
“Is that?” Luke shouts over the noise.
“Yup!” Sebastian replies, and he doesn’t sound very happy about it.
When I glance up again, I catch a glimpse of someone waving out the window. What the hell? Who in the fuck has a helicopt–
Oh.
When it turns, heading toward the helipad at the far end of the roof, the three of us share a knowing look.
Sebastian grumbles, clearly unhappy with this turn of events. “Come on, sugar. Better get you some clothes.”
