Chapter 14
Chapter Fourteen
Sebastian
My breath leaves my body as I see how beautiful Willow looks standing in the room.
I’m gobsmacked by her etherealness. She stands next to the window, her long blonde hair hanging down her back.
Her eyes look mesmerized as she gazes out at the Strip, and I stare at her beautiful naked ass for several moments before walking over to her.
She turns to me with a timid smile on her face. I watch her hair sway, long and wild, down her back. She gazes up at me, and I smile when I see my teeth marks indented on the skin of her neck. We had been wild. We had been crazy. And right now, I feel like the world is about to end.
We just made love for the last two hours, and still, I crave her. I need more. I grab her hand and pull her toward me so that her breasts are crushed against my chest. She looks up at me with a small smile and licks her lips.
“You ready to go again, big boy?”
“I am,” I say, loving the moniker she’s made for me. “But first, I thought we’d dance.”
“Dance?” She looks surprised as she glances around the room. “Where are we going to dance?”
“Right here,” I say as I spin her around.
She giggles, and I make up a tune as we sashay across the room, doing a waltz. I’ve never felt this lighthearted before. I’ve never just enjoyed being with a woman like this. I have to constantly remind myself that this is not real—that this feeling is imaginary.
“I feel like I’m Belle at the ball,” she says, holding tight to me.
Her breasts feel like heaven pressed against my chest, and I run my fingers around the small of her waist, squeezing her ass cheeks before lifting her up and carrying her toward the bed.
“I thought we were dancing,” she says, her eyes wide as she reaches up and runs her fingers through my hair.
“I think we’ll take a little break,” I say, kissing the side of her face.
“I think this is my most favorite feeling in the world,” she says softly as she turns to me. “Being with you, touching you, it’s the most absolutely amazing thing.”
“Oh, really?” I ask.
“Yes. It’s just great. I’m really enjoying these moments we have together.”
“I’m glad you said that, Willow, because I’m really enjoying them, as well.”
I stroke the side of her face and think for a few moments. This is my time. I debate back and forth whether or not I’m going to go through with it, but as she looks at me with parted lips and lust in her eyes, I know that I will.
“I actually think we’re meant to be here together, Willow,” I say softly. “I actually think this is fate.”
I take a deep breath, grab her hands, and kiss her palms, then her inner wrists.
“I know this is going to sound crazy, but… will you marry me?”
I watch as her jaw drops and her eyes widen in surprise. She looks absolutely shocked.
“What did you just say, Sebastian?”
“I asked you if you’ll marry me, Willow Montgomery. Will you make me the happiest man on earth and become my wife?”
My heart thuds as I wait for her answer. She licks her lips nervously.
“Did you just ask me to marry you?” Her voice sounds as shocked as her face looks.
“I did. I know it’s crazy, and if you want to shoot me down, I won’t be offended. I’m loving feeling like I’m on top of the world, just like you. There’s been no better feeling in my life, and I never want it to end. Will you elope with me?
“Perhaps you’re one of those women who’s always wanted a big wedding, and maybe we can have one afterwards, but I was thinking… if you say yes, we could get married here in Vegas. Maybe even have Elvis marry us in a chapel and—”
“Okay,” she says suddenly, nodding. “I’ll do it. I accept.”
I blink slowly. I can’t believe she actually agreed.
“You will?”
She laughs. “I never thought that I’d ever become engaged and married to a man I have not even known a month, but fuck it, why not? Let’s do it.”
I’m shocked by her response, and I’m also shocked by how happy it makes me feel. She’s someone that lights me up. She’s someone who makes me feel alive. And while I know this marriage isn’t going to be real, there’s a small part of me that’s happy she said yes.
“Are you sure your parents will be okay with this?” I ask gently, as if I care. I can’t let her know that this marriage is for revenge. I can’t let her know that I know what she did to my brother.
She lowers her eyes slightly, and her face turns sad.
“Sorry,” I say softly. “That’s something you don’t really want to talk about. I guess we never discussed your family.”
“It’s okay,” she says, her voice cracking slightly as she looks at me. “I mean, if you’re going to be my husband, you should know about my parents. It’s crazy that I’m going to marry you and we don’t even know small things about each other.”
“We have a lifetime to get to know everything,” I say. “Even people who’ve been together for decades don’t know everything about each other.”
“That’s true,” she says. “Well, I guess I’ll tell you about my parents.
Unfortunately, they passed away when I was young.
I was brought up by my aunt Mildred and my cousin Charlotte.
” She offers me a wry smile. “I suppose you could technically call me an orphan, but not really, because I do have some blood relatives. But yeah, my parents won’t mind not being invited, because they’re not on earth anymore.
“What about you? Would your parents be upset?”
“Oh, I am so dreadfully sorry,” I say quickly. “I didn’t realize your parents were deceased.”
My heart sinks. I know what it’s like to lose people you love.
“It was a long time ago,” she says slowly.
“I miss them more than anything in the world, but sometimes I can’t even remember them.
I do wonder what my life would be like if they were here.
I’m sure my dad would want to walk me down the aisle, and my mom would want to go dress shopping with me.
We’d plan a big wedding. But they’re not here, and I won’t have those moments with them. ”
“Oh, Willow… I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to make you upset.”
“It’s okay. I’m not upset. My life has made me who I am, and it’s brought me to you.”
She touches the side of my face, and I realize this is perhaps the most honest she’s ever been. Maybe she’s the way she is because her parents died and she’s had to fend for herself. It isn’t an excuse for what she did to Sergio, but it’s something I can understand.
“So you didn’t answer me,” she says. “Do you want your parents to be here if we get married? How would they feel about you eloping in Vegas with someone you barely know?”
“I don’t care what my parents think,” I say brusquely, and I notice her eyes look sad for me. “We don’t have a good relationship, unfortunately. It is what it is.”
“I’m sorry.” She rubs my shoulder gently. “That must be really hard.”
“Yeah, it wasn’t the best childhood.”
“Do you have any siblings?”
I stare at her for a couple of moments. I can’t believe she’s asking me that question. I can’t believe she thinks I would believe she knows nothing about my life.
“I have a brother,” I say finally. I’ll play her game.
“Oh? Older or younger?”
“Younger. He’s my baby brother.”
“Do you want to invite him?”
“Do you really want me to invite him, Willow?” I raise an eyebrow at her. I can’t stop myself.
“I mean, if you want to,” she shrugs. “I don’t mind.”
“I don’t think I’ll be inviting him, then. I guess it’ll just be us.”
She smiles. “And then when we get back to Whispering Haven, we can celebrate with Katherine and Brielle. I know they’ll want to congratulate us.”
She starts giggling. “Oh my gosh, they’re going to think I’m crazy. I think I’m feeling a little bit hysterical right now. This is just really surreal. I mean, I’m so happy. This is something that happens in a movie—the stuff of dreams.
“I just never thought that something like this would ever happen to me. It’s like you’ve been a hurricane in my life, Sebastian.
You walked into the hotel, you flirted with me, you seduced me.
You took me on a couple of dates, and now we’re in love and getting married.
Has a more perfect story ever been written?
I don’t know if people would even believe me. ”
Her eyes are overflowing with tears. She reaches for me and presses her lips against mine.
“This is something I’ve always dreamed of happening, but I never thought it would.”
“I suppose there are things in life we don’t allow ourselves to believe in,” I say, grabbing her hands and pulling her toward me.
She nods slowly, and I move over her, positioning myself between her legs. She gasps lightly as I rub the tip of my cock against her entrance and slide into her in one hard thrust.
She moans loudly, reaching up and running her fingers down my chest.
“Oh my gosh, why does it feel so good when you’re inside of me?”
“I wish I knew. I’d bottle it,” I say, pulling out and thrusting into her again.
“So, Willow, you’re truly going to become my wife. You’re going to make me the happiest man on earth.”
“I am,” she breathes. “I love you, Sebastian.”
She looks up at me, and I know she’s waiting for me to say the words back. But I won’t. Instead, I reach down and kiss her hard.
I’m not going to tell her I love her. I will not cross that line. I will not lie. I’ve never told anyone I love them when I didn’t. Those words are sacred to me, and even in this moment, I won’t cross that line.
She doesn’t seem to notice that I haven’t said it back, though, because her fingernails are digging into my back and her legs are wrapped around my waist. She’s whimpering and squirming beneath me, and as I thrust in and out of her, I can feel myself growing harder, ready to orgasm.
I love being inside her. I love touching her. I love being with her. I’ll miss this when all is said and done.
I don’t know exactly what I’m going to do, but I can’t wait until she finds out that she’s not the only one who can play games. She’s not the only one who can act.
I can’t wait until she finds out that she’s not calculating or seductive enough to get millions from me. In fact, I’m going to make her pay, not only for what she did to Sergio, but also for what she’s doing to me.
Because she’s confusing me with her web of lies. She’s captivating me with her smile. She’s making me fall for her, even though I know she’s treacherous.
There’s a part of me that can’t resist her, even though I know who she is inside. There’s a part of me that wishes this were real and that she really were this good woman. That’s the part of me that I hate. That’s the part that’s going to ensure that I get the revenge I seek.
