Athena Kings
Her body fell limp in my arms as my beast gave me control of my body. The blood lust was now gone and I looked down at Lauren. Her neck was blooded and so was the neck of the shirt she wore.
I bit my wrist and placed it at her mouth, knowing how much blood she lost. Her heart wouldn't be able to pump enough quickly before something happens to her.
I licked the wounds on her neck and they healed, well one healed and the other stayed.
I then realized that it was my mark on her neck.
Son of a bitch!
My beast purred satisfyingly as it went to the back of my mind.
I sighed and removed my wrist from her lips. She wasn't drinking but I managed to get some of my blood in her mouth. That should do the trick, get her heart running quickly.
I rested her head on the pillow and took my dress off which left me in my bra and panties. I pulled her body into mine as sleep overtook my body.
~
"Get up." Lauren's soft voice greeted me as she poked my face.
I smiled, not opening my eyes.
"Wake up." She kept poking my cheek and I pushed her hand away.
"I'm awake." I mumbled and rubbed my eyes. I stretched and I heard a few bones cracked and I groaned in satisfaction.
I sat up in the bed and Lauren placed a tray on my lap.
Breakfast in bed.
"Good morning." She greeted and I smiled as I stared at her.
Pretty.
Perfect.
"How'd you sleep, baby?" Lauren asked me and I licked my lips.
"Pretty well. I didn't even feel when you got up." I responded and Lauren stood up.
My eyes scanned her and I saw that she had on a red top and black cargo pants. They were new, they smelt new.
"Where are you going?" I asked her. Those weren't clothes she'd wear in the house.
"I'm going out with Solana. We're going to restock your kitchen and buy a few more things." Lauren said and she grinned. "I have your black card."
I nodded, not really caring that she has it. It's here anyways. I got that one made just for her.
I bit into the pancakes that had Nutella in the middle and hummed at how good they tasted. I took a sip of the coffee as I chewed the pancakes.
"I'll be back around one." Lauren pecked my cheek and she took up her bag from the bedside table.
She waved bye and I watched as she left. She closed the room door on the way out and I ate my breakfast and then showered and di my morning routine. I fixed the bed and cleaned up what needed to be cleaned.
I headed to my office to get some paperwork done.
Has she realized my mark as yet?
I got out of the car a long with Solana and I looked at the salon, Beauty with Nails.
Solana and I entered the salon and she hugged one of the hairdressers as she greeted her.
"Are you full for today?" Solana asked her.
"Nope. I actually have three extra spaces until 3:30." The girl said and I examined her.
She's roughly 5'7, dark skinned, black hair with red ends, slim-thick figure. She looks like she was a werewolf, I could be wrong.
"I have a friend who needs to get her hair done."
The girl looked at me and she smiled.
"A human. Not often I get one of these customers."
She led me to one of the empty chairs and I sat down. She started to remove my hair from its current style and when she was done, she looked at me through the mirror.
"How do you want it?"
"I was thinking this side could be cornrowed coming over the rest in regular braids." I told her as I motioned to my right side of my hair, showing her where I wanted the cornrows.
I didn't know the name of the style. I've seen it plenty times but I never actually came across the name.
"Any specific style for the cornrows?"
"Don't let it be boring." I told her with a smile on my face.
"If she looks good, I'm tipping you, Bianca."
Bianca smirked as she looked at Solana.
"You know I never disappoint, Lana."
~
Within two hours my hair was done. Bianca had an assistant braider who helped her plait out the braids.
She finished surprisingly quickly. The braids were done smedium sized and the cornrows at the side was beautifully done.
There was heart in the middle of everything and the first and last cornrow intersected like an open hourglass.
Bianca took the money from Solana as she counted it.
"$900? Damn, I can buy the whole salon dinner for the month." Solana chuckled as Bianca stared at the money with wide eyes.
"Her nails now." Solana said. "They need to be done, too." She got hers done while I was getting my hair done.
They were beautiful plain french tips with a heart on the middle fingernails.
"After I take this video and a few pictures, she'll be able to do that." Bianca ushered me to the vines that she had hung up with her business name in pink neon cursive LED letters.
I did a slow 360 of my hair as she videoed it, playing with the hair. When I finished the 360, I smiled and Bianca grinned as she researched the video.
"Perfect."
She took pictures of my hair and then I was ushered to the other section of the salon. I was seated in a chair and the nail technician took my hand in hers as she examined them.
"I'm Gracie and I'll be your nail tech for today.
" Gracie gave me a beautiful smile, showing me her pearly whites.
I smiled at her and she asked me how I wanted them.
I showed her a picture of the design I had in mind and she hummed in thought as her eyes scanned her shelf. (view picture at the top)
"Yeah, I can do that. It'll be—" she told me the price and I glanced at Solana. She nodded and I told her to proceed.
One and a half hours later, nails done.
I gasped.
It looks exactly like the picture I showed her.
"Woah." Solana better tip this girl a million dollars.
Gracie took pictures of my nails and she handed me a business card.
"You know where to find me if you need a redo."
"Thank you." I told her and Solana came over to her station and placed a good amount of cash on her table.
Gracie counted the money, her eyes widening when it passes the amount she was originally supposed to get.
"$1000."
Solana smiled.
"You did good."
"You've tipped me almost $2000 today." Gracie said gratefully and Solana nodded.
"You deserve recognition for your talent. The nails are underpriced."
"You are officially my favourite customer."
Solana laughed and we bid Bianca, Gracie and the other worker goodbye.
"I should've gotten my toes done." I told her as I wiggled my toes in the shoes.
"Next time. You told Athena by one and it's almost one." Solana said and I stood in my spot.
"I should've gotten two short. I forgot about—"
"I don't think Athena mind you using only your mouth."
I gave her a disgusted look and playfully shoved her. Solana laughed and she opened the door for me. I got in and she followed suite. We drove to the closest Walmart and I grabbed a trolley and we entered.
I looked up at the isles and saw what was in what and decided that we're going for tinned foods first.
"You shop, I'm going to hold a smoke."
I nodded and pushed the trolley in isle one.
I hummed as I picked up sausages, canned corn, meat loaves and many other tinned food and placed them in the trolley.
I need airpods.
I pushed my trolley to the other isle and took up a few stuff, too.
"Girl! Hey!" A voice called out from behind me and I turned to look at the person. They smiled at me as they caught up to me.
"You dropped this."
She handed me a paper and I took it with furrowed brows as I looked at it. I opened the paper and saw a name and a number.
I looked back at the girl but she was gone. I chuckled, shaking my head and pushed the paper into my pocket.
Athena would love to hear about this.
I pushed my trolley through all the isles. By time I was done, the trolley was overflowing and I haven't even picked up frozen goods as yet. I took my phone from my bag and called Solana.
She answered on the second ring, humming in the speaker.
"Can you grab a basket and get a few things from the fridge for me?" I asked her with a sweet voice as I slowly pushed the trolley to the cashier.
"Sure. What do you want?"
"Nuggets, fries, frankfurters, bacon, salami, mixed vegetables, 10 pounds of chicken, 3 pounds turkey neck, 2 pounds pigs tail, ham, steak if any, burger meat, hmm, what else?
" I hummed in thought as I unpacked the trolley.
"That's all." I told her and Solana hummed.
"Also, I want 3 tye of peas or if sell it by pounds then 1 pound of peas. Triple all the meats."
"Girl, are you feeding the entire nation?"
I laughed.
"Yes." I told her as I kept unpacking the trolley. "Grab another trolley."
"I'm already inside." She growled.
"That's an order." I teased and the cashier glanced at me as she scanned the snacks.
"In the trolley, you're going to put rice, sugar, flour, salt, and all the possible starch.
Anything you think the main kitchen will need.
Add eggs, butter, mayonnaise, macaronis, cheese— mozzarella, all kinds— and peanut butter.
Get everything in huge quantities so like ten jars of mayonnaise, depending on the size, twenty packs of spaghetti, twenty packs of elbow macaronis, etcetera, you feel me? "
"Yes, your highness." She mumbled and I laughed.
"Your total is $1,749.89, ma'am."
I handed her the black card.
I need a purse.
I hung up and she took the payment and had my stuff bagged out. I had the quadruplets bring the bags back to the car and I called Athena on my way out. She picked up on the first ring.
"Hey, pretty girl."
I smiled at the name and walked back into Walmart to go help Solana.
"Hey, baby."
"Enjoying your day?"
I hummed.
"I got my hair and nails done. I can't wait to show you." I squealed. I spotted Solana speaking to the butcher as she read from her phone.
"I bet they're beautiful, love." The smile stayed on my lips.
"— chicken, 9 pounds of turkey neck—"
"Thank you. They are." I pushed the trolley away from her and went to the section that contained the rice and those stuff. "I might be home a little later than one."
"About what time?" Athena asked and I shrugged even though she couldn't see me.
"I'm not entirely sure as yet because things are taking longer than expected." I struggled as I lifted the 25 pounds of rice and placed it into the trolley almost toppling over.
"Alright, love. Stay safe and call me if anything, yeah?"
"Of course." I smiled and rested my hand on my hip. I saw one of the workers and motioned for them to come to me.
"I'm going to put a dent in your account."
"What? You're gonna buy Elon Musk?"
I laughed.
"No."
"Then you can't dent it. Even then, you still wouldn't dent it. I have more money than him anyways."
"I love you."
"I love you."
We bid goodbyes and I placed my phone in my bag.
"Hello!" I greeted.
"Good day, ma'am." He greeted and gave me a smile.
I asked for his assistance in lifting some of the stuff into the trolley because they were heavy for my arms. He lifted them with ease and I thanked him when he was done.
"No problem. I'm Xavier." He stuck his muscular arm out for me to shake.
"I'm Lauren. Nice to meet you."
"Likewise." His eyes changed color and mine widened. He smirked at that and then he left and went back to wherever he was going.
I looked for the other things and ended up taking up another basket as I filled it with cleaning agents.
I pushed the trolley to the lady I cashed with before just in time as Solana came and she looked at me amused as she stared at the trolley and the basket.
"You're going to be a good queen." With that, she shook head her head and her statement made me laugh.
I finished cashing everything and it came down to almost five thousand dollars. I think it was four–something. I don't remember.
"Please tell me we're going home." Solana said as she got in the car.
"One last stop and then that's it."
"It better be."
