Chapter 14

Chapter Fourteen

Killian

She hangs there on the hook, legs limp, toned muscles in her arms looking tense, and the glistening between her thighs has me rock hard. I look at her like she’s a masterpiece. Her heavy breathing brings attention to her hardened nipples poking out of the lingerie, begging to be touched.

“What do you want from me?” she whimpers.

Liliana, Providence’s high-class Socialite known to be a materialistic little brat who just likes spending money, begs for my mercy. But I’m no fool; I know to proceed with caution. Women like her are masters of manipulation.

I take slow, deliberate steps toward her. My eyes lock onto hers.

“You’re just bait,” I say, my voice low and deliberately casual as I slide my hands into my pockets. The calmness in my demeanor is out of place amid the tension surrounding us. “I’m hoping your tie to Alessio will wake him up. He has a lot of IOUs that he’s stubbornly ignoring.”

“What makes you think I have power over that?” Liliana is still defiant, although I can see the slight tremor of her clenched fists.

She’s trying to project strength, but by the way her breath quickens, the subtle widening of her eyes, and the way they dart to the door behind me, it gives her away. I do admire her resilience.

Her body goes rigid as I step closer. “If I didn’t think you did, you wouldn’t be here.” My words are as sharp as a knife.

“If that’s what you want to think,” she retorts. Her chin slightly quivers.

“I don’t have the patience to deal with a snob,” I warn, leaning just a fraction closer, watching her swallow hard. “This can go one of two ways. Either you behave and don’t piss me off, or you become more of a problem than a solution, and believe me, I’ll torch that pretty face of yours.”

Her eyes widen, that defiance now melting away, as she realizes I am not playing around.

I see the pulse at her throat quicken, the way her breath catches in her chest. She nods.

I turn away, striding back toward the wooden door.

Right before exiting, I loosen the rope and hear a thud on the ground.

I leave her there as she struggles to regain her composure.

The door's still open behind me. She'll find her way back into the house just fine.

As I step outside the barn house, my phone begins to ring. Cameron's name flashes across the screen. I can’t help the victorious smile from creeping onto my face as I look up to the moon looming large and bright in the dark sky above.

“Hello,” I answer while glancing over my shoulder to see Liliana slowly pushing herself up from the floor.

“Hey, man. I heard about your mother. My condolences.” Cameron’s voice is heavy with sympathy, but that means nothing if this conversation doesn’t go the way I want it to.

“Thank you,” I reply, keeping my voice steady.

“Look, I know this is a shitty time, and I wouldn’t be calling unless this was an emergency,” he continues with urgency.

“I’m listening.”

“Selene’s sister, Lily. She’s been missing. We can’t locate her anywhere.”

“And you call me?” I smirk, still looking up at the moon.

“You know I can hunt down anyone, but I keep hitting dead ends. You’re the only other person who could find her.”

“Are you saying I’m better than you?”

He chuckles softly, but there’s no humor in it. “If that will get you to agree to help.”

“Don’t think you’ve exhausted enough of my resources?”

Cameron sighs, frustration evident in his tone. “I wouldn’t be asking unless I was shit out of luck. Word on the street is something fishy was going on at the dock. Since that’s now your territory, I’m hoping you could help.”

“Well, I’m still in Ireland. I can’t help much from here. Maybe ask the Russians.”

He goes silent. I realize he may not be alone, and when another voice comes through the phone, I know I got them cornered.

“Killian, it’s Alessio.”

“Ah, Mr. Costello finally gets the time to speak with me.”

He clears his throat. “Lily is missing. I want her found. You want the Russians pushed out, then consider it done.”

“Let me know your progress by the end of the week, and then I’ll see if I’m able to take on the job.”

Hitting that red button isn't satisfying, not the way that slamming the landline down was back in the day. You'd know the other person would hear the dial tone and fully embrace the insult of the fact that they've just been hung up on.

When I turn around, Liliana finally makes it out of the barn house.

Her face is pale and she looks weak. I need to ease up on her.

I can’t have her looking like a complete wreck when I return her.

Even after this, she still has this entitled demeanor to her.

I watch her, unsure if she sees me leaning against the stone wall of the house.

The only light out here is from the moon.

She looks like a prostitute out of hell.

Her hair is disheveled, the lingerie leaving nothing to the imagination, and she seems to be limping.

I wait, expecting her to run, but she doesn’t.

Liliana doesn’t see me until I pull out a cigarette and light it up, but she doesn’t stop in her tracks or even flinch.

We lock eyes as she keeps walking toward the house and enters the back door.

For a snobbish brat, I have to give it to her.

I’m impressed by her willpower. I can’t tell if she’s scared, and that, for some reason, piques my interest. After a few puffs of cigarette, I drop it to the ground and stomp on it before entering the house.

I hear the water running. It sounds like she’s in the shower, so I grab her a few towels.

As I approach the bathroom, I hear noise that I can’t make out.

The bathroom door is a flimsy barrier, just a hollow slab of painted wood with a brass knob that doesn't even turn properly. It’s cracked open enough to see Liliana under the water.

I shift my weight, the floorboards creaking beneath my feet.

I freeze, listening for any sign that she heard me.

Nothing. Just the water and that sound again, longer this time.

A moan, quiet and muffled by the spray but unmistakable.

The sounds come more frequently now. Little gasps and whimpers that cut through the water's constant rush.

Chuckling and amused, I let myself in, gently opening the door.

Steam dances around the small space. Liliana’s back is against the shower wall with her head tilted back, panting as she drives her fingers inside her.

The shower is shooting out water onto her breasts.

I watch, taking it all in, my dick tight against my jeans, torturing myself just watching her.

The glass shower doors are fogged, but with the door open, certain spots become visible to see through.

Lily opens her eyes and looks dead at me.

A smirk crosses my face. “Looks like I got someone excited.” But when she doesn’t stop, I furrow my brows. She continues to touch herself, her free hand now pinching her nipple as we are locked in a stare. I remain still as she climaxes; the sweetest sound escapes her mouth before she goes still.

“Well, someone has to finish the job,” she pants, stepping out of the shower with no shame.

I take the towel there and toss it to her. “Don’t think any little seductive tricks you learned from your last master, Nico, will be enough to seduce me.”

She smirks. “Says the man who couldn’t help but get a taste of me.”

My cock twitches at her comment. She did look ready to devour while hanging there hopelessly. But she’s my hostage, and it’s bad to mix business with pleasure. “I’ll have someone bring you clothes tomorrow.”

Liliana takes the towel and wraps it around her hair, not bothering to get another to wrap around her body. “I only wear Brunello Cucinelli.”

She’s a little vixen.

“You’ll wear whatever you get. For now, I’ll give you one of my shirts and boxers.”

“I don’t mind staying like this. I do need a brush, though.” She glides out of the bathroom, and something inside me wants to pin her against the wall. She’s testing me, thinking I’ll fall victim to her seduction. I’d love to teach her otherwise.

I can’t help but smile at her boldness. She isn’t scared of me at all. Quickly grabbing a brush from the drawer, I follow her into the bedroom she chose.

Liliana lets her hair down from the towel, shaking it out, running her fingers through the tresses.

Drops of water fall onto her body and slide down her curves.

She doesn't seem bothered by the fact she's naked in front of me, but she doesn't seem like she’s turned on by it either. Not like when she was on the hook.

Tossing her the brush, I remain at the doorframe. “Nico is likely scanning the area. If he decides to bust in and take you again, I don’t think you’ll want to be naked.”

She scoffs. “Trying to make yourself look good? You’re just as bad as he is.”

“Is that so?” I challenge. “Cause I tied you up for biting me? I could have done a lot worse. You’re standing here naked, getting off in my shower. We are far from anyone. I could take you right here, and no one would hear you screaming.”

I step into the room, and she immediately jumps back. Her reaction says enough. Now I’m the one with the victorious smile. Grabbing the nob of the door, I pull it behind me.
