Chapter 36

Chapter Thirty-Six

Lily

Killian throws a towel on the bathroom floor and drops me down on it. Stepping back, he starts to undress. We both watch each other. He kicks off his shoes then removes his shirt.

“Happy now?” he sneers, as though he didn’t enjoy himself while holding the long metal chain leash wrapped around his knuckles. “Have your sexual urges been satisfied?”

“That’s all you got?” I glare, trying to provoke him, as though he didn’t just carry me inside after fucking my insides out. “I didn’t think you’d be so gentle.”

I watch him unbutton his pants and pull them down along with his briefs. His cock is as stiff as a board again—thick, hard, curving slightly to the left. My mouth waters at the sight.

He reaches into the shower to turn it on. “You should be grateful I was able to be so fragile.” He lets out a deep and throaty laugh, tying the end of the leash to the towel bar.

Like a dog, I sit back on my feet and watch him clean himself.

Killian doesn’t take his eyes off me either.

He watches as I watch the water cascading down his body, his thick hands running through his black hair, rinsing out the shampoo, then lathering body wash onto a washcloth as he scrubs his body clean from his neck, down and under his arms, his chest with thin patches of hair that lead down his navel toward his cock.

His hand lingers there, stroking his shaft and washing under his balls, then continuing down each leg.

When he’s done, he tosses the washcloth to me, takes the leash off the towel bar, and tugs on the chain. Killian looks to me then to his feet. When I try to stand, he tugs at the chain again. The collar tugs at my neck, making me fall to the floor.

No words are needed. I know what he wants. Crawling to him while still holding onto the washcloth he tossed me, I make my way into the shower and sit back on my feet. When I do, Killian wraps the leash around his knuckles until it’s inches away from the collar.

I should be scared, but my body isn’t trembling from fear; it’s from needing this more than anything, even though I don’t understand why.

“You’re going to clean yourself up,” he commands. “You don’t move until I come get you. Understood?”

I nod. Killian steps out of the shower and ties the chain back onto the towel bar before grabbing a towel and wrapping it around his hips.

By the time he comes back, I am rinsing the shampoo out of my hair. Killian places a box of tampons on the counter and a piece of clothing I can’t make out. He has a towel in his hand and waits for me to be done.

When I turn off the shower, he tosses the towel to me. It’s damp, which means it’s the same one he just used. I don’t hesitate to wrap it around my body.

“Let’s get it going,” he rushes me. “I’d like to get some sleep.”

I squeeze any excess water from my hair before I step out of the shower. The leash is still wrapped around the bar. The air is thick, not because of the shower, but because there’s some kind of tension that neither of us can understand. I can see it in his eyes.

As I dry myself, I nod toward the box of tampons. He tosses one to me.

“You really need to watch?” I ask.

Leaning against the door, wearing nothing but boxer briefs and his arms crossed at his chest, he says, “At this point, you’re lucky I don’t shoot that thing up there myself.”

“Are you seriously upset about wanting to look up at a few stars up in the sky?!”

“You snuck out. That’s the same as attempting to run away,” he snaps.

“But I wasn’t going to.” I arch a brow. “I’m here, aren’t I? I’ve let you chain me up like a fucking dog.” I insert my tampon and toss the plastic applicator at him. “You going to make me sleep on the floor too?”

He catches it without issue and steps closer to me. “I need to know you won’t do something stupid. What if one of Nico’s men trapped you?”

I felt bile bubbling up my throat. “I thought I was safe here.”

“You are… until you aren’t.” He tosses the applicator into the trash without breaking eye contact with me.

“Mickey’s coming with me tomorrow to check something out.

The twins will be checking the area, and JoJo will be sent on an errand.

I need to know you’ll listen to me when I tell you to stay in the house. ”

“Do I get a gun?”

He arches a brow. “Is that a real question?” He tosses me the fabric he had placed on the counter. It’s an oversized T-shirt, likely one of his, along with boxers.

I pull it over my head and put my arms through the short sleeves. “How am I going to defend myself?” Quickly, I put on the boxers, the metal chain leash clinking as I move.

“Jodi is good with a gun.”

“That’s ridiculous!” I step forward, but I’m stopped by the chain.

Killian smirks as he walks over to untie the leash from the bar and pull it through the shirt. The metal against my skin sends a shiver through me. I notice his eyes go directly to my hardened nipples.

He walks me out of the bathroom and toward my room. My breathing becomes shallow. Killian leads me to the bed, and once I’m on it, he ties the leash to the metal headboard. I expect him to leave me there, but instead he takes the chair he had slept on the night before.

How am I supposed to fall asleep like this? I don’t know what’s more unsettling—being tied up to a headboard or having a devilishly handsome man watch me fall asleep.
