Chapter 43

Chapter Forty-Three

Lily

My body aches. Between last night and now, my body is flaring up again.

When I step out of the shower, I look at my naked body.

My nipples are black and blue. Killian had me in every position my body could bend, touched, licked, and bit every part of my body, but the one thing he never did was kiss me.

I thought it was odd. I’ve never had a guy not want to kiss me.

When he finally had enough, he removed the collar around my neck.

The thought of it still is a punch to the gut.

I get myself together, wearing new clothes that are exactly the same—a T-shirt and leggings—and head downstairs, where the scent of breakfast makes my stomach growl.

“Liliana.” Jodi smiles. “Sit and eat before the boys ravish everything.”

“Smells amazing.” I smile back.

“Do you cook?”

I let out an embarrassed laugh. “Never was really my strong suit. Stasia was the cook when our mom wasn’t able to.”

When my ass hits the chair, a sharp pain radiates through me. Flashbacks of Killian spanking me are making me sweat.

Izzy sits next to me. “Mickey ripped me and JoJo a new one,” she whispers. “How did you make out?”

My cheeks flush. “Killian didn’t hold back either,” I reply.

We all sit at the table, Killian across from me and pretending like nothing happened between us.

It’s something I’m used to since I did the same with Alessio.

That’s what flings do. The morning goes on nicely, but when it’s time to leave, the weight of sadness hangs over the Boswells.

I watch each sibling give Killian a hug, and a lump forms in my throat.

Mickey drives Killian and me to a private area that has one roadway and a small plane.

“Till next time,” Killian says to his brother in an embrace.

“In this life or the next.” Mickey pats Killian’s back.

They pull apart, and Mickey holds his hand out to me. “Nice meeting you, Liliana. Take care of him, will you?”

“Of course,” I lie, knowing Killian and I have no reason to cross paths again once we are back in America.

When Killian and I board the plane, there is a couple already on board.

“Take a seat,” Killian points to one by the window.

“This plane is tiny.”

“This plane is the only way you’ll get home,” he says. “You don’t have a passport, remember?” He pulls something out of his pocket. “Drink this.”

It’s a tiny bottle of liquid with no label. “Are you trying to drug me?!”

“Is that where you draw a line?” he challenges.

Rolling my eyes, I get myself comfortable in my seat while he sits with the couple.

My ass cheeks still burn, but I’d be a liar to say I don’t love it.

Izzy had given me a blanket, which I wrap myself in, trying to get comfortable.

I’ve never been on a plane this small. I chug the liquid and instantly feel sleepy.

My stomach knots as the plane starts down the runway.

The small plane rattles through the clouds, turbulence shaking me from my seat.

I squeeze my eyes shut, trying to drown out the sound of the engines and the chatter of the other passengers.

But as I drift off, the world around me fades into a suffocating darkness.

Suddenly, I’m back in the cage—rusted metal bars pressing against my skin, the stench of sweat and fear hanging heavy in the air. The dim light flickers overhead. I can hear muffled voices, harsh and commanding, speaking in a language I don’t understand. Then Nico Vidalia’s face.

“No one is coming for you,” he sneers, the words dripping with malice. “You belong to us now.”

I try to scream, but no sound escapes my lips.

Suddenly, the cage begins to shake, the bars bending and warping as the nightmare escalates.

The air grows thick, suffocating me, and I feel myself being pulled deeper into the darkness.

I fight against the invisible chains that bind me, desperation flooding my veins.

“Wake up!” I scream internally, willing myself back to reality.

With a jolt, I am back on the plane, my heart racing and sweat clinging to my skin. The seatbelt digs into me, the other passengers oblivious. I glance around and see Killian, the familiar hum of the engines grounding me, but the echoes of my nightmare linger.

Someone pops their head out from behind a curtain. “We are preparing for landing.”
