Chapter 53
Chapter Fifty-Three
Killian
Looking down at my phone as I pull up the napkin tucked into my collar, I say, “Twenty-five minutes and forty seconds.”
Liliana sits up and covers herself while I get to my feet to meet a very angry Stasia and Darius. I don’t even bother wiping my face, letting Liliana’s juices gloss my mouth like a trophy. Liliana remains seated on the table, her forehead resting on my torso.
“You disgusting piece of shit!” Stasia lunges toward me, but Darius pulls her back the moment the room has a few men pointing their guns at them.
“Killian, you’ve crossed a line you won’t be able to uncross,” Darius warns.
Liliana slides off the table, turning toward her sister. “Don’t talk to him like that!” My dick twitches seeing Liliana defending me. She turns back to me, taking the napkin and wiping my face.
“Does she look like she’s in distress?” I mockingly ask Stasia then look to Darius. “You don’t even know where that line begins and ends.”
Stasia’s lips press into a thin line as she glares at me. “He’s not the kind of man you should be around. I was going to…" She trails off, her eyes widening, the color draining from her skin like she just remembered something she shouldn’t say.
“You’re going to what?” Liliana snaps, looking at Stasia, arms crossing over her chest.
Stasia sighs, swallowing hard. “I was going to arrange somebody for you to marry. Somebody better than him.”
I feel the heart of rage from Liliana. “Oh, perfect. So not only do you think I’m a burden, but you’re going to try and pass me off to the highest fucking bidder?
You’ve got to be kidding me. Who the hell are you, and what have you done with my sister?
Actually, you know what? You’ve never acted fully like my sister.
You treat me like I’m a burden you have no choice but to take care of. ”
“Because that’s what you’ve been for your entire life.
” Stasia tries to step forward but remembers to stop.
She shakes her head. “Look, when Dad passed away, we were in a really tough place, Lily. My only logical option was to make sure my little sisters were taken care of. And that it wasn’t done off my back for their entire lives. ”
“So… the highest bidder then?” Sarcasm drips from Liliana’s words, mixed with disbelief. She walks toward her. “You could have told me how bad it actually was.”
“You wouldn’t have given a fuck either way. As long as you have money to spend and a luxurious lifestyle, you don’t care. Hell, you didn’t even care that your ex-boyfriend was fucking Selene’s husband before he died.”
I watch Liliana’s mouth drop open. “Excuse me?”
Selene steps in the door, the room falling silent as everyone turns to look at her. She glances around the room, taking it all in, worry in her eyes.
Looking down at my watch, I say, “Thirty minutes and forty-eight seconds.”
Selene shakes her head, looking at me. There’s disappointment radiating from her pores. “You’re timing how long it takes us to get over here after finding out that you have our little sister here as your sex slave!”
Cameron is right behind her and steps forward. “Killian, what have you done?”
I stand beside Liliana. “Just now? Or last night? Or yesterday?” I glance at Liliana. “Should we tell them about Ireland?”
Pure rage boils over my dear friend as he lunges toward me, unafraid of the guns pointing at them, but Darius holds him back.
“Why do you care about me now?” Liliana’s question comes out as a challenge. “No one came to save me! You sent a stranger, someone I barely know, and without him I’d be god knows where.”
“Of course we care,” Selene says softly.
“You think the world revolves around you, Liliana, and it’s our fault for making you believe that.
You had it the best out of all of us. Between Dad spoiling you and you being Thea’s favorite, you won every time and don’t try to spin it otherwise.
” She tries to step forward, but Cameron stops her.
“You don’t even know what’s going on in our lives. ”
“You and Stasia are happily married. Neither of you speak to our mom, and both of you encourage Serafina to leave here. Leave me with OUR mother. The one who is on a cruise right now with god knows who. Killian has risked his life for me.”
“This is Stockholm syndrome, Lily,” Stasia cut in.
“I don’t care what it is,” Liliana spits back. “I’m not going anywhere.”
Darius speaks up. “We will have the money to you, Killian. And after you’re paid back, it’s over. No alliance, no deal. You burnt a bridge.”
I don’t take threats lightly, and they’ve been in my house long enough. I sit back on the chair at the head of the table.
“Liliana.” On cue, she walks to me, her back to them, her obedience making my cock twitch. “Now if you don’t mind,” I say to the unwelcome guests, “I’d like to finish my meal.”
Liliana drops her silk robe onto the floor. Their eyes are wide. One’s face is red with rage, and one has their hand over their mouth in horror. Both Darius and Cameron force their wives to look away and push them out.
“This isn’t over,” Cameron warns.
“It never is,” I shoot back.
