Chapter 57 Mrs. Soon-to-be Sindhi

"Anyu I'm really sorry! But I have to leave for an urgent meeting, I won't be here when you come back!" Aaryaant uttered in a low voice.

"It's............fine, your meeting is important!" She sadly said.

"When will you be back?" He enquired

"I'll be leaving in an hour!"

" When are you leaving for the meeting?"

"Before evening!"

"And when will you come back to me?"

"I won't be able to meet you before our wedding!"

"Oh!"

"Okay!"

"Take care of yourself make sure to eat properly and sleep on time!" She instructed him.

"As my madam says!" He bowed in front of his phone screen.

"Okay now I'll have to leave. Bye!"

"See you at the altar. Love!"

After their hearted conversation, Vanya left for the airport. The jet will take off within twenty minutes.

After an eight-hour flight, she arrived in Delhi—her home. As soon as she stepped off the jet, her eyes fell on a man standing with his back to her.

"It must be someone else!" She whispered as she thought of him.

She turned to exit the airport with her guards shielding her and carrying her luggage.

"Anyu!" The same man shouted

She froze in place, her legs refusing to take even a single step forward.

As she turned, she saw him gazing at her with immense love, his arms open wide, waiting for her. She dashed toward him, her heart pounding with every step, before soaring into his embrace—finding solace in the arms that felt like home.

She finally felt at home—not in a place, but in his arms!

"I missed you!" She mumbled in the crook of his neck. Her voice trembling with emotions.

"Not a day passed without missing you my Love!" He tightened his embrace, his voice a soft whisper against her ear.

"But you told me you wouldn’t be able to meet me!" she asked, tilting her face just enough to look into his eyes.

"Some distances are unbearable… I had to be here." A soft smile played on his lips as he gazed at her.

"And moreover, that was a lie. I wanted to surprise you. Wanting to see this insanely beautiful smile on your face," he said, his eyes soaking in the joy he had longed for.

"I'm beholden to my God for blessing me with a man like you," she whispered, pressing a soft kiss to his lips, her heart overflowing with gratitude.

"I love you itta saaraa!" she exclaimed, spreading her arms wide, as if trying to measure the vastness of her love for him.

He chuckled, his eyes shining with adoration.

"That’s not enough! I love you isse bhi zada!" he said, pulling her more into his arms, holding her as if he never wanted to let go.

"Nahi mai zada!" Coming out of his embrace, she pouted in protest, crossing her arms. she insisted, her eyes challenging him playfully.

Thinking about playing along, he shook his head with a smirk, pulling her closer.

She scrunched her nose, refusing to back down.

He chuckled, tightening his hold on her.

"She scrunched her nose, refusing to back down. "Nahi! Mera pyaar sabse zyada hai!" she declared, wrapping her arms around his neck.

He chuckled, tightening his hold on her.

"Toh chalo zindagi bhar yeh prove karte hai ki kaun zada pyaar krta hai!" He said with a grin before swiftly lifting her off the ground.

She let out a surprised gasp, followed by laughter, as he carried her away—two hearts bound by love, ready to spend forever proving it.

As soon as they reached home, she was lifted off the ground once again—this time by her homeboy.

"Didaaaaaaa!" he exclaimed, spinning her around as she laughed, her heart swelling with love for the most important men in her life.

"You left without even meeting me! I AM NARAZ FROM YOU!" Ariv complained

"I'm really sorry kiddo! I didn't even know about my flight timings as your brother woke me an hour before take off!" She apologized to him.

It's fine! You're back everything's perfect!" He smiled and said before pecking her cheek. Aaryaant had been silently observing them, but the moment Ariv pecked her cheek, he acted without hesitation. In an instant, he wiped her cheek with his palm and pressed a kiss there himself.

"Stop being jealous of your own brother bhaiyaah!" Ariv teased him.

"Get lost Vir!" Aaryaant, irritated with his actions, sulked at him.

"Anyu rest for the whole day, we have three rituals Tomorrow!" He said taking her to the room.

"I know!" She exclaimed.

"Ghari puja, sangeet and Datar rituals!"

"Am I right or Am I right?"

"How do you know?"

"I'm going to be the wife of a Sindhi, a business-minded man. So, it's obvious that I should know everything about you, your culture, and your community!" she said with a shrug.

He smirked and pulled her closer closing the door behind him.

"Oh really? Then I should test how much you’ve learned, Mrs. Soon-to-be Sindhi." He said. She raised an eyebrow and smirked.

"Try me, Mr. Sindhi. You might be surprised at how well I’ve done my homework." She challenged him.

"So Mrs. Soon-to-be Sindhi! What is the traditional Sindhi wedding attire for a bride?"

"A Sindhi bride traditionally wears a red or maroon lehenga or saree, often heavily embroidered, paired with gold jewellery and maang tikka!"

"Hmm. Tell me one sindhi dish, that's a must at weddings?"

"Sindhi kadi! And don't get me started on sindhi dal pakwaan! Mere muh toh abhi se paani aa rhi hai!" She grinned.

"Well done! Now tell me one Sindhi business principle that we swear by?"

She smirked confidently, crossing her arms. "Easy!"

"Sindhis believe in smart business moves—taking calculated risks, maintaining strong relationships, and ensuring that profit and goodwill go hand in hand. 'Dhandho' isn’t just business; it’s in your blood."

"The significance of 'Chhej' in Sindhi culture?"

"Cheej is a traditional Sindhi folk dance usually performed during celebrations and weddings. It's full of energy just like me!" She said with her chin up.

"So, Mr. Sindhi, do I pass your test, or do you need more proof?" She tilted her head with a playful smirk.

He stared at her, clearly impressed before a slow smirk spread across his lips.

"Not bad love! Looks like you've done your homework well!" He appreciated her.

"But knowing about Sindhi culture is one thing....... living it, is another. Think you can handle that?" He took a step closer, his voice dropping playfully.

"Because once you become my wife, there's no escape from the Sindhi lifestyle!" He brushed a strand of hair behind her ear. His eyes, teasing her.

"Escape? Please I'm walking into this life with full confidence!" She chuckled.

Stepping even closer, she placed her hand on his chest, met his gaze with a playful smirk, titling her head slightly.

"I've learned the culture, the traditions and the business mindset too. And I don't even need to master handling you as I'm already doing it perfectly!" She winked at him.

"Think you can handle that, Mr. Sindhi?" She raised an eyebrow teasingly.

"Alright, alright! I admit defeat. You’ve not just learned about Sindhi culture—you’ve owned it." He let out a low chuckle, shaking his head in surrender. Lifting her hand to his lips, he pressed a gentle kiss on her fingers.

"And as for handling me... looks like I’m the one who needs to learn how to handle you, Mrs. Soon-to-be Sindhi."

"Guess I should start preparing myself now—because I just lost my first battle to my wife." He sighed dramatically.

"Smart choice, Mr. Sindhi. Accepting defeat early will make your life much easier." She laughed, her eyes twinkling with mischief.

"And don’t worry, I’ll make sure you enjoy every bit of it." She whispered in his ear

"Now, be a good husband-to-be and start preparing for those three rituals tomorrow. I need my beauty sleep!" She added pulling back with a playful smirk.

"Beauty sleep? Please Anyu you already look like a dream. But fine I'll let you rest.....for now!" He smirked.

"Sleep well Mrs. Soon to be Sindhi. Tomorrow is just the beginning!" He said stepping closer and kissing her forehead softly before pulling away.

"No matter how much you tease, Anyu, deep down you know, you already belong to me!" She turned toward the bed, but before she could move further, he grabbed her wrist gently, pulling her back into his embrace. His voice dropped to a soft murmur.

Her breath hitched for a second, but she quickly recovered, tilting her chin up.

"And you belong to me too, don't forget that!" She warned him. He chuckled, his fingers tracing lazy circles on her waist.

"How could I? You’ve already taken over my life, my thoughts, and my heart."

She placed a hand on his chest, pushing him away lightly.

"Sweet words won’t get you out of all the rituals tomorrow. Now, go. Let me sleep!"

"Fine, fine. But don’t be surprised if I find excuses to steal a few moments with you tomorrow." He sighed dramatically.

She smiled as she climbed into bed, watching him take one last lingering look at her before stepping out. As the door closed behind him, she touched her cheek where his warmth still lingered, a soft smile playing on her lips.

Tomorrow, she would officially become his—but in many ways, it already felt like she was.
