Unspoken Turmoil

Author's pov-

Purv hadn't been himself all day.

Not that anyone would notice-he had mastered the art of keeping his emotions hidden. But inside, he was restless. His mind kept replaying the moment from yesterday, the way Divya had looked at him, the way her lips had felt against his.

And yet, he had walked away.

Because that was the right thing to do.

Or so he kept telling himself.

Sitting in his car in the college parking lot, he gripped the steering wheel tightly, watching the students pass by. His gaze instinctively searched for her.

Then he saw her.

Divya.

And she wasn't alone.

Aditya was walking beside her, saying something that made her laugh.

Something inside purv twisted.

He wasn't the jealous type-at least, that's what he had always believed. But the way Aditya looked at divya, the way she smiled at him so easily, made something dark coil in his chest.

He had no right to feel this way.

She wasn't his.

He had made sure of that.

But damn if it didn't bother him.

Divya followed Aditya into the campus cafe, the air filled with the scent of coffee and freshly baked muffins. She tried to focus on the present, to push aside the lingering thoughts of purv and how he had left her standing alone last evening.

Aditya pulled out a chair for her before sitting across from her. "You look... distracted."

Divya forced a small smile. "Just tired."

Aditya hummed. "So, what's going on with you and purv?"

She blinked. "What?"

Aditya leaned back, his arms crossed. "Come on, Divya. Everyone's noticed."

Divya hesitated. "There's nothing going on."

Aditya didn't look convinced. "You sure about that? Because the way he's glaring at me from outside says otherwise."

Her breath caught slightly, and she turned her head instinctively.

Sure enough, purv was standing outside the cafe, leaning against his car, his sharp gaze fixed on them.

Their eyes met, and something passed between them-an unspoken conversation, a silent battle.

Then, just as quickly as he had appeared, purv turned and walked away.

Divya's heart clenched.

Why did it feel like everytime she got close to him, he pushed her away again?

And why did it hurt so damn much?

---------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile, purv walked through the hallway, his hands in his pockets, his jaw tight.

He hated this feeling.

This helpless, uncontrollable thing inside him.

Aditya wasn't the problem.

It was him.

Because no matter how much he wanted to stay away from divya, he knew one thing for sure-

He wasn't going to let anyone else have her.
