*ROSEA*

Forest has pinned me against the wall of the shower, my palms against the slippery wall, while his cock is buried deep inside me. After our first round, last night, we did it a second, much slower time, with Forest peppering my whole body with kisses and exploring every inch of it.

Then, we were both too exhausted to do anything else and fell asleep.

But now that the first rays of sunshine have woken us up, it seems like we are both ready for more action again.

As if a dam has broken and we can’t do anything else but be all over each other.

I am insatiable. I have never considered myself sexy or hot, but Forest makes me feel like I am the hottest being on the planet.

And I find myself wanting more and more of him.

He is so deep inside me, his balls hit my ass. His teeth grace my neck, a promise of what he is going to do the moment he has the chance. “Spread your legs for me.”

I oblige, closing my eyes when I feel his palm pressing against my most sensitive area. His other hand is cupping one of my breasts now, fingers suddenly tweaking my nipples. They are still sensitive from the last time, but I can’t help but love everything he does to me.

He is more demanding this morning, a little rougher, but nothing about it scares me.

I want him to fuck me hard and claim me.

The alpha blood inside me, and particularly Alora, was extremely turned on that he can dominate me, that he makes me submit to his urges, not because I feel scared or threatened, but because I want to.

And again, despite him being wilder this morning than last night, he makes sure I come first, holding me upright while I moan and shiver. Only then does he allow himself to come.

For a moment, we remain in that position, me pressed against the shower wall, with his forehead resting against my shoulder and his cock still inside me. Then he pulls out of me carefully, tying his condom up and tossing it into the bin.

“I swear,” he mutters. “The moment I can mark you, I will steal you away for a weekend and then do nothing else but fuck you over and over again.”

I turn my head to smile at him. “How long until our bodies tell us to stop?”

“We’ll see then,” he smirks, kissing my shoulder.

I glance at him. “Make sure to be prepared, then,” I say. “And with a lot of stamina.”

Like any alpha wolf, he immediately knows when something is a challenge; his eyes glint before he turns my head to claim my lips in an almost bruising kiss. If we didn’t need to leave for breakfast soon, I’d have jumped his bones again.

But that’s not an option.

I got busted yesterday. The evening went well, much better than I expected, but now everyone knows who I am and where I’m from, and I am sure Forest’s parents know, too. I need to strike while the iron is hot.

And I know it will be damn hot today.

“A message from Martin,” Forest says when he grabs his phone.

“What does it say?”

He looks at me, his eyes following as I scramble around, putting on clothes for breakfast. I can’t help but chuckle. “The message, Forest.”

“Oh, right.” He looks at his phone screen again, frowning before his eyes light up. “He went out to meet his contact last night. Will meet us at breakfast. He and Griffin have the info we needed.”

“What about Griffin? Will he join us, too?”

Forest types the question and receives an answer not a minute later. “Martin says Griffin was up the whole night. He sent him home to get some sleep.”

“What did he do the remainder of the night?” I ask. “He returned home with us. Did he work some more?”

“In his message, Martin says he did some additional research on the stuff you needed from him.”

I nod. “Makes sense. I asked him to investigate my parents’ death.”

Forest looks at me with a furrowed brow. “Do you think they didn’t die of a natural cause?”

“I am not sure, Forest.” I sit down next to him, smiling when he takes my hand. “I find it highly unlikely that both of them were killed. But I also find it highly unlikely that they both died of natural causes so shortly after each other. I need to know the truth.”

“We’ll find out what happened,” Forest promises. He takes a deep breath. “Are we ready to take it up with my parents?”

“I for one am,” I say, straightening my shoulders. “Now that the cat is out of the bag, we need to act fast.”

“And one important move is to show everyone how much in love we are,” Forest says.

It might sound a little cheesy, but he actually has a point.

It will show our unity. We make it down the stairs, out to the corridor and then towards the dining hall, when we meet some pack members.

They eye us curiously, but Forest and I just chat with them while Forest keeps his arm around my shoulders, like nothing is amiss. The pack members follow his lead.

It seems like he has truly gained some of their trust.

“You might want to join us for breakfast,” Forest tells some of them.

I nod. “I am sure you heard the big news already. Come, we’ll talk to everyone who wants to listen.”

“Really?” one of the female pack members asks.

“Of course, come with us.”

Once at the dining hall, Forest dramatically opens the door for me and bows slightly, making me laugh. He can be such a dork sometimes. His eyes light up, and he pulls me into his arms, kissing the side of my head, before walking further into the dining hall.

There is a lot of chatter around us, as the pack members in the hall are whispering, until Forest claps his hands. “Everyone! We won’t beat around the bush. You probably heard the news already.”

“So, it’s true,” one warrior asks, curiously. He is one of the elites; I recognize him instantly. “The luna is from Alpha Jordan’s old pack?”

I nod. “It’s true,” I say. “I apologize for not being more open, but my life was in danger.”

“Truth is that Rose was half dead when I met her,” Forest says. We decided to go with a watered-down version of what happened, but stick to the truth as much as possible. Out of the corner of my eye, I can see Martin, who nods at me and smiles.

“Did Alpha Jordan really try to kill you, Luna?” The she-wolf we’d met in front of the dining hall asks.

“Well, let’s say he wasn’t too unhappy to get rid of me,” I say. I have no proof that he wanted to kill me, so I’ll leave it to their imagination.

“But why would he try to get rid of his luna?” one of the men asks. “Isn’t that weird?”

“Maybe he fell in love,” one woman says.

Some of the warriors just laugh. “Jordan, in love?” the elite warrior who spoke out earlier sneers. “The guy has a new girlfriend every week.”

“More like every day,” another one says. “I always heard he had a luna, but that he kept her hidden. Now it makes sense; he obviously didn’t want Luna Rose to leave the pack and find out what he was into.”

I see movement ahead of me, noticing that Donna stands up from her breakfast table and walks towards us. She uses a tissue to dab at the edge of her eyes, as if she is in tears. Her movement startles Martin, and he begins to move towards us as well.

“Forest,” Donna whines. “I am so sorry you’ve had to go through such a betrayal.”

“Why are you sorry?” Forest blinks.

“Your luna was with a man before she was with you.”

“Yes, Mother, and I had girlfriends before her,” he says. “Besides, you wanted me to mate with Lissa. How’s that better?” he grimaces. “Just imagine if Lissa were by my side now, and luna of this pack,” he shudders visibly.

The people around us don’t seem to like this idea either. “Imagine what she would have done in such a high position,” another of the elites mutters.

Forest nods. “Exactly.”

“But, Alpha Jordan… something had to be off for him to kick his luna out of his pack, chosen or not. And why did she leave in the first place? She should have stayed for the sake of her pack.”

“Did you miss the part where I said she was half dead when I met her?” Forest asks. “There was no way I’d have sent her back to a hellhole of a pack that mistreats its own luna. Besides, Rose was only nineteen when she was pushed into marrying Jordan.”

That’s true. Jordan pushed for an early marriage and mating, and frankly, my father did, too. I loved my dad dearly, but that was a huge mistake he made. He thought when I was marked, I’d be safe and that Jordan was genuine.

However, he should have waited. I should have waited.

But that’s not the issue right now. I have Donna to worry about.

“To be honest, Donna,” I try to sound polite, but firm.

“I stayed all those years for the pack and my father’s legacy, to make sure the pack wouldn’t fall apart after his sudden death.

There was no love between Jordan and me, but a sense of responsibility.

Now, however, Jordan found someone he loves and did not have any use for me anymore.

” The way I am phrasing it makes him look even worse.

Mates, even chosen mates, are sacred in our world.

To toss someone aside just like that is highly frowned upon.

Jordan and his allies might not care, but Leonard and some of the other older alphas do; they pointed it out last night.

“And I found my mate,” I say. “I don’t know what else you wanted Forest and me to do. Reject our fated mates?”

“No, of course not! But this… For a luna… A luna has to make big sacrifices for her pack. She needs to—”

“Mother,” Forest straightens his back, a frown on his face now. “Shut up, would you!”

Her mouth drops open. “What…”

“Within only a couple of weeks of Rose’s presence, this pack is already flourishing.

Besides, you pushed Lissa at me all the time.

How is that any different? Rose was forced into a situation without anyone helping her, and made the best of it, for the sake of her pack.

I don’t see how that makes her a bad luna.

In fact, I think it makes her a fantastic luna.

I am lucky I am her mate, and not some other douchebag.

Frankly, we benefit much more from her than she does from us. ”
