Trail Cold in David Batcher Murder
The investigation against Sara Batcher, former InkRose CEO and cofounder, for the murder of her pharmaceutical salesman husband, David Batcher, has closed, according to the San Francisco Police Department.
The investigation, performed more than five years after David’s disappearance, has been slow, hampered by weak memories and poor recordkeeping by all parties.
Chief Joel Stanton stated in a recent interview that “the strong work by our detectives can’t overcome a lack of forensic evidence. ”
Batcher’s team of high-priced defense attorneys worked overtime since the discovery of David Batcher’s body in Crestmore Estates earlier this year. Sara Batcher was an early suspect, and where most of the investigative efforts have been focused.
With no other strong suspects, the case is likely to return to its cold case status, unless new evidence is introduced.
