With a smile on her face, and a cup of steaming coffee in her hand, Paige sat down at her desk and texted Jules; it was a little awkward, with only one hand free, but Paige made it work.
PAIGE: David still has the tattoo…
JULES: Really?
PAIGE: Yep.
JULES: Holy shit. I can’t believe he didn’t get it removed for Ashley.
PAIGE: I basically told him the same thing, and he said she’d wanted him to, but the only reason he even thought about having it removed was for Jacob.
JULES: I bet she got really pissed every time she saw your name and face. If she hadn’t been such a bitch, I’d almost feel sorry for her right now, but she was, so I don’t.
PAIGE: Same.
PAIGE: I don’t think he’ll have the tattoo for much longer, though. He’ll either get it lasered off, or have something tattooed over it.
JULES: That actually makes me a little sad.
PAIGE: Me, too.
PAIGE: In the meantime, though, I’m going to enjoy seeing it while I can.
