PAIGE: You’re not going to believe this.
PAIGE: Because I don’t even believe it.
Paige re-read the two texts she’d just sent Jules, then quickly sent another.
PAIGE: Oh, and Happy New Year!
JULES: Happy New Year, to you, too!!!!!!!
JULES: What won’t I believe?
PAIGE: Do you remember me telling you about David’s friend, Dick?
JULES: Yes.
PAIGE: Well, Dick is actually … Evan.
JULES: As in, Evan the hot bartender from Three Amigos?
PAIGE: That’s the one.
JULES: You’re right. I don’t believe it.
PAIGE: It’s true. I met him last night. And, long story short, he heard David and me having sex right before we met.
JULES: Screw that ‘long story short’ bullshit.
A second later, a FaceTime request popped up on Paige’s phone, and as soon as Jules’s face came onscreen, she demanded, “Tell me everything.”
