34. Chapter 34
Creating without justification . With Summoner’s words as my battle cry, I approached my writing with abandon once we returned to the farm.
I wrote the story I wanted to read. I didn’t think beyond that.
Under the afternoon sky, words came easily as I typed on the patio.
Seductive notes from Summoner’s guitar floated down from his studio.
This is the life.
The rain fell softly at first. That quickly changed as the sun slipped behind the horizon.
The heat rose, mixing with the clouds to make one hell of a storm.
The sky lit up in a momentary flash of daylight in the middle of the night.
Pounding thunder followed a beat later, rattling the entire house.
I woke up with a jolt, my heart pounding.
Weaponized rain assaulted the roof and dripped through a carelessly still-cracked window across the room.
Dazed, it took a terrifying moment for my sleep-fogged brain to reorient itself. I looked over to an empty bed. Summoner was gone. Loving a man like him was special; the bit of time we spent apart kept me desperate to be with him again. He made me feel lovesick.
Gross.
The soft sound of strumming guitar strings gave me a hint to his location.
I climbed out of bed, sighing at the thick humidity.
Sleeping naked was a great idea. But, for modesty’s sake, I grabbed my robe off the fainting couch and pulled it on.
Tying the belt, I walked down the hall. The door to the music studio was cracked, and a melody trickled out.
I carefully eased the door the rest of the way open.
Across the room, Summoner sat on a stool in front of the open window.
Dressed in just a pair of jogging pants, his fingers casually strummed the guitar strings as the sky was lit ablaze once again.
Thunder shuddered the house down to the foundation.
Unnerved, I swallowed harshly, but Summoner continued to play, unfazed.
He seemed immersed in his own world. The notes he played danced through the muggy air as rainwater pooled near his feet.
The music was melancholy and filled the room with heaviness.
Another flash of lightning filled the sky with light.
A tiny, almost minuscule gasp escaped my mouth as thunder shook the walls.
His fingers stopped moving over the strings and he swiveled around on the stool toward me.
In the dim light, his green eyes were a glowing beacon.
They looked glossed over, lost in thought.
Restlessness and a lack of sleep explained the deep lines underneath them. He was somewhere far away from here.
A quiver of heat rushed down my back. He was in his personal space, and I was intruding. My fingers nervously tugged at the hem of my robe.
“… Sorry. I woke up, and you were gone…” My voice vanished as another strike of lightning and thunder interjected.
“Scared and can’t sleep without me?”
“I’m not scared,” I attempted to protest, but thunder and lightning got the last word as my shoulders hunched up to my ears.
Summoner smirked. He stood up and rested his guitar against the stool.
He walked across the room and stopped right in front of me.
The green of his eyes was so bright, it was like staring at the surface of the sun.
I wanted to look away, to downcast my eyes, but I needed the sting.
Lightning and thunder struck again. I shivered.
“Sweetheart, don’t be scared.” His fingertips ran along the front hem of my robe.
He tugged at the tie, forcing the fabric to flutter open and slide down my body. It collected at my feet. Even after everything, there was still a part of me painfully self-conscious about being naked in front of him. A natural self-loathing that highlighted and screamed my flaws at me.
My nostrils flared as I pushed out a breath.
He stepped forward, pushing me against the wall.
The bumpy painted surface felt cool on my bare ass.
His hands ran up my hips to my breasts. He grabbed them in two forceful handfuls.
It was an uncharacteristically possessive move.
I moaned. His fingers caressed and teased my nipples.
“You have no idea how beautiful you are. How amazing you are. The things you do to me. You. Poppy. You.”
Another strike of thunder and lightning startled me. I jumped. Summoner chuckled softly.
“I will keep you safe.”
“Promise?” My voice cracked, tiny and questioning.
“Always, sweetheart. Always.”
With those words, he fell to his knees before me.
Head slightly bowed, the shadows obscured most of his face.
His mouth on my pussy stopped all coherent thought.
I gasped. On this plane of existence, there only existed feelings and sensations.
Sweat beaded on my nose as an all-consuming heat bloomed from my core.
Summoner devoured me at a frenzied pace.
Wide and flat, his tongue licked with a force that commanded me to enjoy the experience.
He lapped at my wetness, enjoying the flavors of my desire.
The storm seemed distant as another flash of lightning filled my eyes.
I whimpered, my hands clutched in painful fists at my sides.
He moaned as his tongue covered my clit.
His hands gripped my trembling thighs. A pressure rose from the pit of my stomach that scared me more than the storm outside.
Summoner’s nails bit into my skin, keeping me in my place.
He stroked me with a measure of self-control I no longer had.
My release was sudden. One moment there was pressure everywhere all at once, and then nothing.
The freedom of orgasm. I screamed. I screamed until my throat was raw.
I tried desperately to wrench away from him, but he stayed clamped onto my clit, riding out every wave of my desire with slow strokes of his tongue. A decadence I didn’t deserve.
Once his heavenly deity was satisfied with our debauchery, Summoner rose to his feet.
Lightning filled the room, clashing with his aura.
His brilliance glowed. I swallowed as the man I loved moved toward me.
His lips sought mine in desperation. He backed me against the wall as our mouths melded together.
My nails clawed at his shoulders. I could taste myself on his mouth.
Kissing Summoner wasn’t a calm action; his lips on mine were an oasis in my desert, filling me up.
My hands brushed down his muscled torso to wrestle with the waistband of his pants.
I fumbled around for longer than the longest moment before freeing his cock.
I took an appreciative moment to stroke it before guiding him to my opening.
The head of his cock dipped into my wetness.
The unrestrained heat of him made me tremble.
My eyes rolled back into my skull as Summoner slowly sank into me.
Mouth open wide, I gasped. My body strained as all the air left my lungs.
“Fuck. You’re perfect Poppy. Fucking perfect,” he hissed.
He filled me completely. Unmoving, we were captive to the overwhelming sensation of our bodies together.
Feeling. So much to feel. The unblocked heat of his thickness plunged inside the depths of my warmth.
A strike of lightning and thunder barely registered as we both fought to reach for some semblance of control.
Of course, Summoner found his first. He planted a series of kisses along my shoulder.
Little fiery explosions, one after another.
My pulse fluttered through the strained veins in my neck.
The bumps on the wall bit into my ass as he pumped into me.
No barrier between us. Just him and me together.
I sobbed his name into the heat. The only thing louder than me was the unrelenting storm outside.
His arm hooked under my knee, pulling my leg around his hip.
The slight change in angle was enough to allow his cock to caress my G-spot fully with each thrust. My pussy ached with building need.
Sweat streaked between my breasts. My pussy quivered.
“Give yourself to me, sweetheart. Don’t be scared.”
His words unraveled me.
“I love you, Summoner!” I whined as Orgasm reached her manicured hands around my throat.
I writhed against the tide of pleasure. My body flailed. Summoner pressed our foreheads together. The haunting clarity in his eyes effortlessly pushed through the fog in my vision. My heart skipped a beat as he whispered, “You are my sacrament. I love you.”
My hands grabbed the sides of his face, holding on for my life as he fucked me. My pussy gripped and tightened, bringing my lover to his sweet demise. Sweat dripped from his temples as he bucked into me. The last actions of a desperate man chasing his release.
The wave of warm pressure when he came was something I’d never get used to. My pussy kept clenching, the echoes of pleasure milking every drop. He slumped against me, both of us failing to catch our breath.
“Poppy…”
“Yeah?” I forced through a hoarse throat.
“You should know something.”
My eyes lazily wandered over the instruments in the room. I wanted to find something to focus on, but nothing held my attention. My fingertips lazily ran along his spine. Another boom of thunder and lightning made me jump. He brushed a trembling thumb across my bottom lip.
“I’m scared too…”
He didn’t mean the storm.
