Epilogue

Grant

One year later...

Audrey’s legs are wrapped around my hips, her bare ass against the kitchen counter while I try to muffle her cries. These walls are thin, and we’re parked in her mother’s driveaway again. Everyone is probably waiting for us inside, and I’ve been looking forward to this all year. I needed those smug ass brothers of hers to see that Audrey and I are still going strong. Stronger than ever.

In fact, they’re going to see a very special Christmas present on her finger. Just as soon as I give it to her.

But first things first.

Circling her clit with my thumb while I slam into her, I watch her face as she reaches ecstasy. There’s no use trying to quiet her now. She lets out a squeal as her body squeezes like a vice around mine.

Looking down at where our bodies are joined, I lose it and come hard. Sparks ignite through every inch of my skin.

She kisses me fiercely, biting my lower lip while we hold onto each other. “I love you,” she whispers against my mouth.

“I love you too, baby. Now go get dressed so I can give you your surprise before we go inside.”

Jumping down with a smile, she tip-toes to the bathroom. The RV is especially cozy now that she has had a chance to decorate it. There are throw pillows on the recliners and art attached to the walls—her art, of course.

Audrey has been taking classes online and in the meantime, she and I have been selling her art online. When we get the chance, we set up booths in markets like the one we visited last year.

As I zip up my jeans and fix my shirt, I check my pocket again for the small box. It’s still there, and a wave of excitement courses through my veins everytime I look at it. This may be crazy, but I can’t wait to make her my wife. Every moment with Audrey is a dream. It’s the life I’d always wanted before.

When she comes out of the bedroom, she’s in the same red tights and black skirt she wore last year. It’s perfect.

“Remember this?” she asks with a smile.

“How could I forget? I checked out your ass for the first time in that skirt.”

She winds her arms around my neck. “You were such a dirty old man.”

“Still am, sweetheart.” Leaning down I kiss her softly, loving the way she hums against my lips. I have to pull away before I let the kiss get too heated.

Holding her close, I look into her eyes. “You’re the best thing to ever happen to me, and since this was where it all started, I figure this is the best place to make you mine officially.”

Her eyes start to moisten. Then, I drop to my knee, pulling open the ring box, and her jaw drops. Suddenly, my skin erupts in goosebumps, and my heart skitters with fear. What if she says no? I’ve never been more nervous in my life.

“Audrey, I love you more than anything, and I want nothing more than to live the rest of my life in this RV with you. Will you—”

“Yes!” she yells as a single tear streams down her face. Then she’s on my knee, hugging me tight, and for a moment, I can do nothing but hold her. Finally, I make her pull away so I can slip the ring on her finger. It fits perfectly, and I love the way she smiles at it. God, I want to marry her right now.

She kisses me again, and neither of us want to move for a while before we both realize we need to go inside, and I’m ready to show her off in that ring.

“They are going to have some serious thoughts about this,” she says as she takes my hand.

“Since when do we care what people think?” I ask with my lips against her forehead.

“We don’t.”

With that, we head toward the house to celebrate another Christmas with family, but this time, I have all the family I need right here.
