Chapter 13 #2
Finley bit her lower lip to keep herself from bursting into flames. “What did you have in mind? I don’t do long term commitments.”
“I’ve found those don’t work for me either. Hazard of my position.” He reached out and touched a strand of her hair and twirled it between his fingers. “But when someone comes along I find intriguing… well… an arrangement can be made.”
An arrangement? She liked the sound of that.
It had been too long since Finley had a bed partner or a good distraction.
She had a feeling in the times ahead she would be needing a distraction.
“Until I take the cure, or when one of us is ready to move on. Whichever comes first. And when we do move on, there will be no looking back.”
Rafe looked her up and down again. Slower this time like he wanted to savor the view. “So you’ve been thinking about it too?”
Yes. Far too much.
Finley shrugged. “It’s crossed my mind periodically, but it was too short to linger on the memory for long. You should refresh my memory.”
The ghost of a smile appeared in the corner of his mouth. “I can do that.”
When his lips met hers, she thought the heat from the first time would return in bursting flames. She didn’t expect him to move slow. He gave her soft kisses on each corner of her lips before settling back on the center in a soft massage.
“I’d like to make this time more memorable,” he murmured against her lips.
Finley muttered something she hoped was a yes and opened her mouth to let him in. She moaned at the way his tongue swept across hers. Such a hungry wolf. She lifted her hands so they tangled in his hair and pressed her body against his, ready and eager for whatever he wanted to offer.
In moments he lifted her off the ground and she wrapped her legs around his waist. He gripped her rear tight as he carried her to the desk and placed her on top, his lips never leaving hers.
They were greedy and desperate, and Finley couldn’t be happier.
This was exactly what she needed. Someone who knew what they were doing and a distraction.
Rafe was not only those things, but dangerous and dark.
Most people were gentle butterflies in comparison to Finley, so when she met someone who was even more dangerous than she it was an intoxicating drug.
Rafe was a master at navigating his mouth with hers, tugging and biting at her lips, his tongue coaxing what he wanted out of her.
Then, as she wondered if he would only want to kiss, his mouth moved down her neck following her blouse to the ties that held it shut.
With a quick tug, the ties gave way and he swept the fabric and undergarment out of the way to reveal her breast.
He let out a low growl before he licked her taut nipple then covered it with his mouth.
Finley gasped and clutched his shoulders as he licked and sucked then bit at her.
That tiny bit of pain ran through her and made her grow wet and desperate between her legs.
Rafe paused and darted a look up to her.
He took in a deep breath through his nose.
“Someone is excited.”
Right. Wolf. High sense of smell.
Finley raised a brow. “And what are you going to do about it?”
A wicked smile spread across Rafe’s face, and he kissed her. Then his fingers found their way between her legs and with only a few strokes against her slick skin discovered that sweet spot and rubbed.
“Oh, Diar bless it.” Finley slid her arms around his tight body and squeezed. How did he do that so fast? She writhed as he rubbed her in tight circles then up and down her core.
“Is that where you like it?” Rafe whispered into her ear.
All she could do was nod.
“Good. Now, when you think about doing this alone, you’ll know there’s a better option. My cabin isn’t far from yours, and while no one else can hear you pleasure yourself, I can.”
Right. Wolf. Better hearing too. Finley closed her eyes and tried to get her head together. There was no way she was letting him think he had some sort of power over her, no matter how magical his fingers were. “It doesn’t mean there isn’t room for improvement.”
There wasn’t. But he didn’t need to know that.
“Oh really? You’re sure about that?” With his free hand he grasped her breast and squeezed her nipple between his fingers, then journeyed the other farther into her center until his finger slipped into her wetness.
Finley groaned and prayed to Diar that no one would come by her office. The last thing she needed was to have this interrupted.
His fingers moved and rubbed her with the expertise of a musician playing their instrument.
Each movement soft, yet firm and confident, knowing the exact place to touch and probe to get the desired sound, which Finley willingly provided.
Her soft gasps and moans echoed across the cabin walls to give life to the music he played.
“Is that where you like it?” His breath was hot against her skin and he placed a kiss to her neck, making her moan again. She could only nod. He kissed her again and gave her skin a nibble, then the pressure he put against her core grew harder, rougher, faster. “You want it rough, don’t you?”
“Yes,” she gasped. “More.”
He obeyed and moved his fingers in hard circles against her, his grip on her breast growing so tight she knew there would be marks later.
It was one of the things she loved about moments like this, the bite marks or small bruises that would appear on her body as secret evidence of the deeds she’d done or had done to her.
“Such a dirty pirate,” Rafe said as he slid his fingers in her body. Finley buckled at the sensation and gripped him to anchor herself and not fly off the desk.
“Speak for yourself big bad wolf,” Finley managed to get out, then moaned again as his fingers pumped in and out of her slick body.
He returned his attention to her bare breast. His mouth clamped down on her hard nipple and sucked and licked at it, making her skin sensitive and rough as if her nerves were exposed to the world.
She groaned and cried out and rode his pulsing fingers between her legs.
Finley’s body shuddered, and she let her cries echo through the office walls. Let others hear. She didn’t care anymore. She rode out the orgasm roaring through her and he gave her a couple more small rubs before releasing her from his grip.
When he finished her head spun and the world grew blurry at the edges with the impending exhaustion.
Now she couldn’t even enjoy this without sleep eluding her.
Her body was loose and shaky, and it would be a miracle she could make it back to her cabin without collapsing to the ground. It was worth it though.
She straightened herself on the desk and placed her clothes back in their proper places.
“Yes, this arrangement will work well,” she told him.
Rafe chuckled and sat next to her on the desk. “Glad I meet your approval.”
Finley stretched her arms over her head and let out a loud yawn. “I’m going to go lay down. But you can find me later tonight.” She gave his arm a few pats. “See you then.”
With that, she hopped off the desk and made her way to her cabin, hoping she would make it before falling asleep and before Rafe could tell on her face just how happy he’d made her.
