Chapter 31 Balthazar
THIRTY-ONE
balthazar
Deo’s phone buzzing on the nightstand startles both of us awake. Deo grabs it, looking at the screen through narrowed eyes, then presses the answer button.
“Hello?” He sits up, rubbing his eyes and nodding. “Okay. For sure?” He glances at me, but his expression is hard to read in the dim room. “Thank you. I don’t know what else to say.”
I hear a muffled voice as I also sit up.
“Yes, I think so too. See you later.” Deo ends the call.
“It’s done. Lou and Tony pulled it off. Vin even came to the scene in person when his detective friend called him.
Lou said Vin took the watch and actually looked upset about it.
The detective gave him the envelope addressed to him and they took the body away.
Fluke street violence. Lou told Nonna that Vin was pissed off that you decided to stay in a shitty part of town instead of at your own place.
He thinks they were waiting for you to show up there. ”
“I’m sure they were.” It takes a minute for me to absorb everything Deo just told me. “Vin thinks I’m dead?”
“He sure does.”
A sense of lightness spreads through me.
It’s over. It’s finally fucking over. My eyes well with unexpected tears, and I simply fall forward into Deo’s waiting arms, crying softly into his shoulder.
He holds me tight, pressing kisses to the side of my head as he rubs my back.
I can’t remember the last time I shed actual tears, but it feels damn good to let them out.
“You’re safe now, Balt. Your sister is safe.”
I nod, sitting back and wiping my face with my hands. “It’s a huge weight off my shoulders.”
“Of course. Maybe someday you’ll see all of this as a good thing. I mean, the rumor is what made you take a chance and got you out of it.”
“I already see it as good. If it hadn’t happened I wouldn’t have met you and found this incredible love and a life worth existing for.
For too many years, I’ve been numb inside, going through life just wanting to feel something.
Anything. I finally have that, and it was worth everything it took to get here. ”
Deo’s smile lights up his whole face. “I’m so happy for you. I’m proud of you and I respect what you did to keep us and Lorelei safe. I’m glad you told me so I could help. Well, so Nonna could help.”
“I’m glad I told you too. I wasn’t sure if I should, but the idea of leaving you and making you think it was for any other reason didn’t sit well. I couldn’t hurt you like that. Little did I know telling you would lead to my rescue.”
“I’m just glad we caught up to you before you got on that plane.”
“That makes two of us.”
“What do you say we take a hot shower together, trade blow jobs, then have some coffee before we get back to business?”
“I think that sounds perfect.”
While Deo is out on the grounds with his dad and uncle, I take the opportunity to get online and place the order that’s been bouncing around in my brain for weeks. I’ve picked out the most beautiful pieces for my man, and I can’t wait to see him in them all.
It’s been a little over a week since my untimely demise, and while I admit I was nervous Vin wouldn’t buy it, I was wrong.
There was no autopsy done since the cause of death seemed obvious, and while there were witnesses who said a car drove through the area and fired shots, no one could provide any details, so the investigation is closed—just another random event.
The timing was pretty spectacular that someone tipped off the SEC and now the very accounts I protected Vin from are under investigation and turning into a big national scandal. I wish I could say I told him so, but I’ll have to gloat privately.
Lorelei has plans to go to my apartment in a few weeks to get the important items I wanted before she lists it for sale, and true to her word, her husband’s company is handling the estate discreetly.
I’m already planning to split the proceeds of the sale with her and Nick, no matter how hard she argues.
Then in a few months, Deo and I will travel to Denver to see her and get my things.
The branding relaunch is going as planned, with Brogan setting up social media accounts and teasing an announcement.
We’re planning a huge summer, with tours of the estate, and hopefully, an uptick in sales.
We still haven’t moved into the main house, and neither of us seems in a hurry to do that.
The little cottage we fell in love in suits us just fine for now.
Eventually, I’m going to put a ring on his finger. Even if we never formally marry, at least he’ll know my commitment is until the end. He deserves that much.
As I hit submit on the order, I smile. Three days from now, I’m gonna dress him like the beautiful man he is. I can hardly wait.
“Knock, knock.”
I look up from the desk to see Brogan standing in the doorway.
“Hey. What do you have there?”
“This was delivered to the main house. It’s addressed to you.”
My stomach flutters as I stand to take the box. “Thanks. I’ll be right back.”
I’m out the door before Deo can come out of the bathroom and ask me what I have. Perfect timing.
Hurrying back across the grounds to the cottage, I’m filled with a level of excitement about finally enacting my plan.
In the bedroom, I open the box and unwrap the delicate items I purchased—a lacy jock, two pairs of lace panties specifically made for men, a lace crop top and boy short set, and some silky boxers.
Running my hands over the material as I lay them out on the bed ramps up my already simmering desire to see Deo dressed in these things.
I walk back to the office, doing my best to neutralize my demeanor by the time I enter the room. Deo looks up from the computer he’s on with Brogan right beside him.
“Everything okay, lover?”
I nod, smiling. “Great.” Glancing down at my watch, I consider my next move. There’s no way I’m getting any work done knowing what’s waiting for us at home. “We should have an early day. We’re all caught up.”
Deo looks slightly confused. “Uh, well, Brogan was going over next month’s social media campaigns with me.”
“Oh, honey, those can wait,” Brogan says, winking at me. “You’ve been working your tail off. Go enjoy some downtime.”
“Are you sure?”
Brogan is already on their feet, grabbing their folders. “Yep. I’ve got a date tonight anyway, so I could use some extra time.”
“Anything promising?” I ask.
“Hard to say. I met him online, but he says he’s dated trans men before, so hopefully he’s a vibe.”
“Be careful,” Deo says, rubbing Brogan’s arm.
“I always am.” Brogan bends down and kisses Deo’s cheek. “Have fun, boys.”
Brogan grins at me as they leave. I’m already shutting down the computer, and Deo is watching me.
“Is something wrong?” I ask.
He shakes his head. “No. Just wondering what you’re up to, because I know it’s something.”
Chuckling, I nod. “You know me well. I have a little surprise at the house for you.”
“Ooh, I like surprises.”
“I think you’ll love this one.” I stand up and shut the laptop lid. “Ready?”
“I am.”
We leave the office hand in hand, strolling to the cottage. The weather is nice today, sunny and mild, but there’s still snow in the forecast for next week, so winter hasn’t quite released her grip on us just yet.
When we enter the cottage, Deo looks around with excitement, like it’s Christmas morning.
“Where is it?” he asks.
“Bedroom.”
Deo bounces on his toes and hurries down the hallway while I chuckle, following closely behind him. I find him already at the foot of the bed, gently touching the jock strap.
“These are beautiful.”
“Like you.”
Deo glances over at me. “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome, love. How about a little fashion show?”
“Hmm.” He lifts the crop top and holds it to his chest. “And then what?”
“Whatever you want.” I brush my fingers under his chin. “I just want to see you dressed up.”
Setting the top down, he takes a step closer to me and drags his hands down my chest. “Do you think I’ll look beautiful wearing lace while I ride your cock?”
My body immediately heats and my cock swells rapidly. “We should find out.”
“Well then take a seat, lover boy. Let the show begin.”
Deo disappears into the bathroom, taking the crop top and lacy panties with him while I shrug off my dress shirt and remove my pants. I still haven’t fully adjusted to casual clothes, but at least I’m not wearing a full suit every day anymore. Baby steps.
I hear water running as I sit in the armchair next to the bed, filled with anticipation. Deo is the sexiest man I’ve ever met on a normal day, and we’re about to turn it up several notches.
The bathroom door opens and Deo steps forward, leaning against the doorframe. The teal lace looks amazing on his olive skin, and I can see he’s just as excited as I am.
“How do I look?”
“Like all my dreams coming true, but more importantly, how do you feel?”
“Amazing.” He runs his hands over his chest and down his stomach. “Sexy.”
“You are definitely that.” I pat my thigh. “Come here, gorgeous.”
Deo saunters over, obviously swaying his hips with a light laugh dancing on his lips. When he reaches me, he climbs onto my lap, straddling me so his ass is rubbing against my cock through my briefs. As I run my hands down his sides, I search his eyes.
“You changed my life, Deo. You made me legit.”
“You changed your life, Balt. I helped, but it was your decision to run and your decision to come home with me. What you did was brave.”
“I’ll take that, but you trusted me when I gave you little to go on. You gave me refuge.”
“Well you changed my life too. Having you take over the financial stuff was a big part I didn’t have to stress over. And then there’s the whole amazing-sex-and-love part.”
“There’s that.” Wrapping my arm around the back of his neck, I pull him down to kiss him, both of us sighing as he sinks into me.
Our sweet kiss turns heated pretty quickly, and before long, I’m tugging the panties to the side so I can rub my finger around his tight rim. Deo moans into the kiss, grinding against me while I fumble with my free hand to grab the lube from the nightstand.
“Do you want to get in bed?” I mumble against his lips.
Deo shakes his head. “This is perfect.”
I have to agree. After pouring some lube onto my fingers, I get to work stretching his hole while I keep worshipping his mouth. His lips are velvet soft, his taste addictive.
“Tomorrow,” Deo pants. “Tomorrow…”
“Tomorrow what, love?”
“Payback.” He pulls back enough to cup my face. “You’re getting edged within an inch of your life. I can’t wait to make you beg again.”
My cock jerks beneath him and I let out a small moan. “You’re so fucking sexy.”
“Fuck me now, Balt. Please. Fuck me hard. Make a mess of this pretty lace.”
Breathing hard now, I manage to lift my hips enough to tug my briefs down and release my cock. Deo moans again, grinding his soft ass against me.
“Pleeease.”
I waste no time lining my cock up with his hole and slowly sliding inside him. His breath catches as I breach him and wrap my arms around him to stabilize myself and slow down the wave of pleasure already building in my gut.
“I’ll take it from here, lover,” Deo whispers before nibbling my earlobe.
With those words, he lets loose, rocking back and forth and using me like a sex toy. I brace my hands on the arms of the chair, keeping my eyes locked on my gorgeous man while he chases his orgasm.
He slides his hands up, tweaking his nipples through the lace, and I can’t resist tugging it to the side and sucking his pebbled flesh into my mouth. Deo buries his hands in my hair, holding my mouth to his chest while I suck, reaching down to squeeze his ass cheeks.
“Oh god, Balt,” Deo moans. “So full. You feel so good.”
I pop off his nipple and grab his chin. “You’re amazing.”
“Are you gonna come inside me, lover? Get me and my lacy panties all messy?”
I nod, holding his gaze, barely able to think. My cock swells and my insides twist with heat, but I manage to get to my feet and toss Deo onto the bed, not breaking our connection as I crawl on top of him.
He drags his teeth over his bottom lip, gazing up at me with hooded eyes and flushed cheeks, nodding.
“Do it. Wreck me.”
“Fuck.” I slam my hips forward, gripping his ankles for support as I plow into him, his tight body massaging my cock until I can’t take it anymore. “Deo. Fuck.”
“Yessss, fill me up.”
A shiver moves through me as my cock twitches violently and the pressure mounts. I explode inside him, shaking and moaning loudly as Deo’s body seems to mold itself around mine.
Falling forward, I find his mouth and kiss him deeply, rocking together until his broken breaths and soft moans break the silence. Warm cum spills between us, and I hold him even closer, both of us riding it out until our breathing settles.
I’m sweaty, hot, and completely drained—exactly what I want to be. My cock softens and slips from Deo’s body, both of us complaining when it happens.
“Jesus, you’re a beast,” Deo whispers, brushing my hair off my forehead.
“Your beast.”
“I know.” He giggles. “Incredible.”
“Yeah, you are.” I kiss his neck then roll over so I’m on my back. We lie together in silence, our hands clasped, cum drying on our skin.
“Shower?” Deo asks after a few minutes.
“Mm-hmm.”
“Then, if you’re a good boy, I’ll put some more pretty things on. Would you like that, lover?”
“Absolutely.”
He rolls to his side, drawing circles on my chest. “Thank you for the gift. I love all of it.”
“You deserve pretty things. You deserve to be spoiled.”
Deo smiles, searching my eyes. “I’m so crazy about you.”
“I’m glad I’m not alone in my feelings.”
He sits up, stretching his arms above his head. “What do you say we clean up and get dressed and go out to eat in Madison? I feel like sushi.”
“If you wear something pretty under your clothes, you’re on.”
“Deal.”
We climb out of bed, but before Deo can get too far, I grab him around the waist and pull him close. “For the first time in maybe forever I’m excited about the future, and that’s because I know it’s with you. I love you, Amadeo.”
His eyes soften as he reaches up and brushes his fingers through my beard. “I finally have a future because of you. I love you, Balthazar.” He winks and we both laugh.
“Come on, you.”
He doesn’t know it yet, but Deo is about to be smothered in luxury items. Even if he only wears them around me, that’s fine. I have to do something with all this money I’ve hoarded over the years, and dressing up my man sounds like a damn good hobby to me.
I watch him turn on the water in the shower, bent over, still wearing his lingerie, and take a moment to thank whatever higher power decided I deserved someone like him in my life. No more running, no more pretending. What we have is real.
And it’s forever.
