Chapter 35

June wakes up the next morning with a splitting headache.

The woman with silver tips carefully stands up; moving to sit on her bed.

She pulls her phone from her pocket to see twenty missed calls from Marcel, five missed calls from Elijah, three texts and missed calls from Rebekah, four texts from Hayley, but nothing from Klaus.

June listens to all the voicemails that everyone has left her freezing when she listens to one of Marcel's. Davina's alive. Marcel has taken her to the attic at St. Ann's Church.

Davina's alive. She's alive!

The Queen of Demons uses her powers to appear at the Church. She ignores the ache in her head and burning sensation in her hands as she runs up the stairs. Her heart pounds in her chest when she opens the attic door. Davina sits on the bed hugging her knees to her chest.

"Vina?" June voice trembles. A smile grows on pale pink lips when her little sister looks up at her.

"June?" Davina stands up from the bed both Claire girls run towards each other.

June tackles Davina into a bear hug crying. Her smile never fades as she holds her sister in her arms. Davina begins to cry missing her sister's warm comforting hugs.

"You're alive! They can't hurt you anymore. You're gonna be okay! I know it's scaring but you're gonna be okay." June tells Davina pulling back to wipe the young resurrected witch's tears.

Davina nods still crying. June smiles at her pulling her into another hug. The two Claire siblings hug for another twenty minutes completely ignoring Marcel until they are ready to acknowledge him.

Juniper returns to the Church holding bags of take out food for Davina.

The Queen of Demons hears Marcel trying to get Davina to use her magic to take down the boundary spell that traps the Mikaelson siblings in the cemetery.

June hands ball into fist. Being neglected by the coven is something no witch wants to go through.

The dark cold void gets lonely. Being neglected takes a toll on a witches mental stability, June should know she's seen it happen before.

June knows what Davina is going through and she hates the witches for it.

The woman with silver tips enters the attic with her bags of food setting them down on the bed so Davina can choose what she wants to eat. Davina and June eat in silence sitting on the bed.

"If you ever want to talk about what they did to you Vina I'll be here to listen.

But know this..." June sets down her tray of food and cups her sisters face.

"You are so much stronger than them. You are a warrior.

The only reason why they did those things is because they are scared of you; and when people are scared of someone they try to break them.

But what they don't realize is that you, Davina, are so much stronger than them.

I know how much it hurts to be neglected by them, and I will make sure they suffer for it.

But you are my beautiful warrior. When you're ready, show them that you won't be broken. "

June lets go of Davina. She kisses the top of the broken witch's forehead, telling her a quick 'Love you'. The Queen of Demons gives her sister a small smile picking up her food and heads downstairs to join Marcel and Father Kieran.

The Claire woman sits down, eating her food, on one of the benches and listen to Father Kieran recite the information that Marcel told him about his betrayal on Klaus and how Davina is the only one who can save him.

She raises an eyebrow when the Priest calls Davina a basket case.

None the less she continues to listen to him watching him rub his hands together as an attempt to calm the itching Hex on his hand.

The Priest sits down next to June, she offers him her fork holding out her take out tray of Chinese food so he can get some.

She puts her feet up on the bench in front of them when he takes the food.

Marcel turns around to face them telling the smug Priest that Davina is his only shot at lifting the Hex.

Father Kieran shakes his head, wiping his mouth with a napkin.

He stands. Admitting that the Hex will end in his death.

Marcel reminds the Priest that every spell that the witches do has a loophole, what the optimistic vampire doesn't know is that Father Kieran is right, there is no saving him from a hex.

The hopeless Priest admits that he lost faith when his nephew, Cami's brother, Sean died.

He shares the reason why he returned to New Orleans is to prevent the out break of the war, that has already begun, between the vampires and witches.

He knows that there is no hope for the city or himself, Juniper can see that he's made up his mind about this. But Marcel hasn't.

Juniper stands up with a sigh. She walks over to Father Kieran and hugs him.

The Priest is surprised that June is hugging him, regardless of what her demons are telling her.

As much as June doesn't like admitting it she does care for the Priest. June lets go telling them that she is going to visit the psycho King of New Orleans.

June kisses Father Kieran's cheek as a final goodbye, "Don't forget Praise Satan!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
June uses her powers to appear sitting on top of a family grave next to Klaus who is sitting on a different family grave holding the white oak stake. Elijah sits on the platform that the witches used for the Harvest Ritual. Rebekah stands next to him.
"Hi Rebekah. Hi Elijah." June smiles waving at the two. "What'd I miss?"
"Well, Juniper, you just interrupted Rebekah's trial." Klaus stands glaring at her.
June stands walking towards the edge of the grave. "And let me guess you're the judge." June steps on a grave getting closer to Klaus, "The jury." She steps closer. "And the executioner." June is standing in front of Klaus with her arms crossed.
Klaus and her glare at each other. "Indeed it does, luv." He answers.
"Good." June smiles. She raises her hand and smacks Klaus across the face. "That's for ruining my top."
She then grabs the white oak stake from him and hops back to the grave she first appeared on. Sitting down crossing one leg over the other.
"Since you want to play family court I will be holding onto this pretty little thing to make sure you don't try to kill her before the trial is over." She holds up the white oak stake.
Rebekah and Elijah look at each other before looking at June surprised. The fact that Klaus hasn't ripped her heart out is the biggest surprise to them. Klaus doesn't say anything he just sits back down.
"You stand accused of betraying your own blood. How do you plead?" Klaus begins.
"I plead you to shut up and listen." said Rebekah.
Juniper and Elijah listen to the two blonde Mikealsons argue for the trial.
Looking back and forth between Klaus and Rebekah when they make a rebuttal.
Rebekah defends herself by saying that Mikael was the only thing he feared and she wanted him to run because he was hateful.
June listens to Rebekah argue that she was denied her freedom to love who she wanted to.
The unimpressed Klaus mocks Rebekah for bringing their psychotic father into their home just because he wouldn't let her love anyone.
After Rebekah calls Klaus cruel he yells at her that he was trying to protect her from men who are imbeciles and her poor judgement in men.
Rebekah brings up Marcel causing Klaus to stand up furious.
June tries to hide her smile behind her hand as she leans forward to watch.
Rebekah brings up how Klaus used to treat her, he was sweet to her and always gave her gifts.
He loved art and music. She wanted to be like him when they were younger but that changed when he did.
Elijah buds in the conversation claiming that no one has stood by his side for a long time.
He reminds his younger brother of when their father was beating him because Klaus was carving wooden chess pieces with his knife.
Rebekah was the one to stand up to their father with a sword pointed at him.
Mikael had left Klaus alone after she had done that.
Klaus is disgusted with how Elijah is painting the portrait of Rebekah as the loyal sister.
He tells his brother that she did betray him by loving Marcel.
"Perhaps that's why you did it. Perhaps I might temper my rage if Rebekah will admit she was a victim of her own idiocy, that her great love for Marcel used her to oust this family and take my city!" Klaus yells.
"Marcel did not manipulate me." Rebekah tells him.
"You defend him, and yet you can't help but wonder, what if I'm right?" Klaus bends down to her level.
Rebekah tells him that her and Marcel loved each other.
That it was Klaus who ruined it for them.
Klaus questions Marcel's actions of not chasing after her when they fled.
Klaus pauses pretending to take a second to think before reminding the group that Marcel stole what he built.
Both Mikealson siblings have tears in their blue eyes.
Rebekah refuses to beg for Klaus's forgiveness.
She takes the blame for calling Mikael, for bringing him to New Orleans.
Elijah tries to cut her off but she continues.
She explains to the group that she wanted love, she wanted to be happy but Klaus denied her the freedom to have both of them.
"Yes I hated our father but he was a lesser evil than you! My bastard brother who loomed over me, threatening me as you are now. I wanted to get rid of you and given the choice, I'd do it again." Rebekah yells causing June to frown.
Klaus and June look at each other. Her ombre hair covering the side of her face, Elijah and Rebekah can't see her smirk.
June stands up walking over to Klaus with the white oak stake in her hand.
She holds out the stake for him to take, when he grabs it she turns her head to the side facing his siblings.
With a tilted head, her demon eyes and her sinfully wicked smile she says, "You better run."
