Chapter 4 Blake #2

Honestly, I thought our group might get recognized less in a non-queer specific space too.

Kieran is obviously the most popular of our group, but after the show, he, Jace, Liam, and I all occasionally get approached by fans, even more so when we’re all together.

I normally love meeting everyone, but I want tonight to be about us, and I thought that might take away from it.

Our popularity has been amazing for the farm, though.

People are always commenting on my social media videos about enjoying their visit or wanting to come.

The people around town don’t care that we were on TV, so in our day-to-day lives, it’s easy to forget about all that and focus on each other and how happy we are that we worked through everything to be together.

I can’t imagine Kieran’s life though, with how often people are coming up to him and asking for pictures or for him to sign something.

Even though I’ve been much smarter with my money now that I have the farm to invest it in, I agreed that the private space would be ideal for tonight so we can focus on each other. That’s what this weekend is really all about.

We hurry to get dressed, and when I finally turn around as I slip into my jacket, my jaw falls open. “Fuck, L. You should wear suits more often.”

“On the farm?” he teases.

“Yes, on the farm. I’d bet even more people would come visit if word got out that one of the super-hot farmers always works in a suit.”

He laughs. “I’ll save that role for you.”

Liam really does look amazing in the classic black suit he’s chosen for tonight, but the way he’s wearing the jacket open casually draws my attention to the open top buttons and the glimpse of his chest hair on display.

He looks so confident and put together without coming across as stuffy or too formal. “You really do look perfect.”

I went for a less traditional look with my blue velvet suit and coordinated blue satin shirt underneath. I also left a few of my top buttons open—great minds.

He offers me a soft smile as he slides his hands under my jacket and around my waist to pull me in closer to him.

“You look really great too, baby,” he compliments before leaning forward to kiss my forehead.

“I love knowing that everyone in the crowded club will be looking at you tonight, thinking about how sexy you are, wondering what it would be like to be with you.” He kisses me for real, a soft, lingering kiss that leaves me breathless and unsteady in his arms. “But I’ll be the only one there who gets to find out.

Who will know that you look even better taking the suit off than you do now with it on. ”

“Only you,” I confirm with a soft smile as I try to ignore the fluttering in my stomach at his possessive comment. I really do love it, love him.

“Come on, let’s go see if our friends left us any food.

” He takes my hand in his and leads me back out into the main space of the penthouse where the rest of our friends are all waiting.

It looks like there was plenty of food set up for everyone to eat before we go out, all thanks to Chad. He really is the best.

“Yay, you guys are done!” Chad cheers when he finally notices us.

“Thanks for ordering all of this,” I say to Chad as Liam and I grab plates and quickly pile them up. I do feel bad making everyone wait, but the only person who seems remotely annoyed is John, and that’s just his permanent expression.

“Wow, you guys all look great,” I comment before I dig in, glancing around the room and taking everyone in. The guys are already dressed to go out as well, and I take a second to appreciate their outfits, even with the candy dick necklaces Chad—I’m sure—has made them all wear.

Ash looks similarly dressed to Liam, minus the suit jacket, in his tailored pants and white button-up, although his is a little tighter, showing off his slim build.

His dark hair is styled perfectly and even though it’s simple, I know with its designer label, his outfit probably cost more than anyone else’s.

Jace is wearing a nice button-up, although his is a deep red color in a silky material.

Kieran opted for an all-black look like he normally does, but his shirt is see-through, and he’s got a silver chain necklace that makes him look edgier somehow.

His makeup is dark with gold eyeliner and a smokey eyeshadow—a term I know from watching his YouTube videos. He looks so fucking cool, as usual.

John, of course, is wearing another all-black outfit, although his is a totally different vibe with his leather jacket over what looks like a plain black T-shirt and tight black pants.

His hair is pulled back into a messy bun on the top of his head, showing off all the tattoos on his neck with his silver hoop nose ring.

John always looks like he’s ready to hop on his bike and murder someone, but the look really works for him.

Finally, I turn my attention back to Chad to take in his matching red-patterned suit.

His shirt is plain black, but the suit is by far the flashiest thing any of us are wearing.

It even has some sequins on the lapel. I’ve known Chad for as long as I can remember and am in no way surprised that he would end up wearing the loudest outfit.

He has always loved theme parties, so it makes sense he would lean into the idea of going out in Vegas.

I can’t help but laugh at the candy dick necklaces around everyone’s necks though.

“This is amazing,” Liam comments after taking his first bite of his food.

“It tasted even better thirty minutes ago when it got here,” Jace teases him, but Liam only shrugs a shoulder.

“After you guys eat, we need to take a photo, but you have to put your dick necklaces on!” Chad shouts at us, turning to grab a couple more and holds them out to us.

Liam and I each take one and pull it over our heads. It’s basically a choker with how it fits us, and the rainbow-colored, alternating pieces of sugary candy with one bigger dick hanging down in the middle are amazing. I can’t help but laugh as I take in all our friends wearing matching ones.

“Perfect, everyone pile in together!” Chad instructs, holding his phone out with the back camera facing us.

“You sure we’re all going to fit?” Jace checks.

“I put it on the point-five lens so it should,” Chad says.

Everyone squeezes in, and after he snaps the photo, Chad holds it out for all of us to look at. We look great. Even John, who’s standing as far back as he can, still has the smallest hint of a smile.

“Perfect,” I comment.

“Now one without the necklaces that we can post?” Ash asks hopefully, probably not wanting to have this one on the internet.

“Yeah, okay,” Chad says, pulling his necklace off without complaint while everyone else follows.

We take a few more photos, eat quickly, and still make it to the club in time without any issues. We walk past the giant line of people waiting, hoping to get inside, and talk to the bouncers. One leads us in, explaining where our table is and gives us a rundown about what to expect for the night.

We have a booth reserved just for us on the balcony overlooking the main dance floor with our own dedicated waiters.

A woman with very little clothing on comes over and introduces herself as our main waitress for the night and asks what we’d like to drink.

I know some guys love the whole half-naked thing, especially on their bachelor party weekend, but those guys aren’t as lucky as I am, and I have no desire to ogle anyone other than Liam, so I barely notice it.

“We’ll take a round of Macallan shots please!” Chad answers the waitress, then we all order our individual drinks.

“Be right back,” she promises with a smile and walks away.

“Holy shit, this place is packed,” Liam says into my ear as we slide into the booth.

It’s already almost midnight and the dance floor is completely full.

There’s a huge electronic chandelier above the crowd that moves and rearranges with the pulsing beat of the DJ’s music.

I love it. Our waitress comes back with seven shots for the table, and Chad helps pass them around to everyone before we hold them up for a toast.

“To having the best friends a guy could ever hope for, and to us all having the best weekend ever!” I say, and everyone holds up their glasses saying “Best weekend ever” before clinking them together and taking the shot, even John.

After it goes down, I can’t help but say more because this really is so important to me.

“Seriously, guys, it means a lot to us that you’re all here.

To have all of our closest friends together is so cool.

I know you don’t all know each other as well as you do us, but I think you all know that I’m not as close with my actual family as I want to be with my chosen one, and I want you all to be a part of that.

I’m so happy that we have this time to bond and have fun.

I cannot wait for what the rest of the weekend has in store! ”

“Wow, Blake. That was actually really sweet,” Ash says with a surprised smile.

“You’ve always been my family, bro,” Chad adds, throwing an arm around my shoulder for a side hug.

“I feel the same way,” Liam adds on my other side, addressing the group.

“John, obviously you’ve been in my life the longest, but I’m so glad that you’re back in town, and I’m glad that I have the rest of you in my life now, too.

When I signed up for the show, I had hoped to meet a partner to share my life with, but I never could have imagined all of this.

” He smiles at our friends, and I take his hand in mine, squeezing it in support.

I know he doesn’t usually open up like this, and I love that he feels so comfortable with our people.

My smile is obnoxious as he continues. “As someone who’s always been more reserved, I didn’t think I needed a huge group of friends, but Blake introducing me to you guys.

” He gestures to Chad and then Ash. “And Jace, the friendship that we formed on the show, and meeting you, Kieran, it’s all made my life so much fuller than I could have ever imagined. So thank you for being a part of it.”

“I’m lucky to have you in my life,” Jace assures Liam from his other side, squeezing his shoulder. “No need to thank us.”

“Yeah, you guys might be chaotic as hell at times, but it’s also pretty amazing,” Kieran teases, looking between Chad and I.

“I hope you know that your friendship has meant a lot to me,” Ash agrees.

I turn to John with an encouraging smile. He’s the only one who hasn’t said anything. He takes a sip of the whiskey on the rocks he ordered, looking out over the club. After a few moments, he notices me looking at him, and arches a brow, as if he’s challenging my expectant look.

“Are you going to add anything, Johnny?” Chad says, nudging his shoulder. I don’t know how John keeps ending up next to Chad when he claims he annoys him so much, but it’s kind of funny to see how alarmed he looks by the casual touch.

“Johhny?” he repeats. “That’s not my name. And Liam knows he’s my best friend. I don’t need to give a big, sappy speech about it.”

“Aww, your best friend. I knew you had a big heart under all your leather and tattoos,” Chad teases, and it only makes John’s scowl deepen. They’re hilarious together.

“Well on that note,” I singsong. “Let’s party!”
