Chapter 79

F rom the moment Adam dropped me on the bed, he was fucking me hard in position after position. Between orgasms, he was kissing me, telling me how much he loved me, and the second he recovered, he was back inside.

Whether it was Declan’s touch or everything that happened tonight, Adam was on a warpath. I was picking up the memo: I will never get dick like this without him. After three orgasms on his part, I had to call it.

“I want to be able to walk tomorrow,” I pant, winded, sweating, and unsure what time or day it is. “Your endurance.” I laugh.

“Impressive for a guy my age?”

“Impressive across the board. Fuck.” I laugh. “I never thought I would be the one to call it. You didn’t, like, cheat, did you?”

“Cheat?”

“Take a pill.”

“Never.” He chuckles. Then he looks thoughtful. Is Adam hesitating to say something? Has he ever been lost in his internal thoughts before?

“What?” I press.

“We haven’t really talked about how I’m nearly twenty years older than you.” He pauses, rubbing his finger on my cheek. “What do you think about our age difference?”

“I don’t think about it that much.” I shrug.

“I feel the same. You can see yourself with an old guy in the future?”

I giggle. “Nothing about you is ‘old guy.’ You have better abs than most guys my age. You obviously are in great shape.” I poke him. “And what the fuck would I do with a guy my age?”

“I don’t know how any twenty-five-year-old could keep up with you.” He smiles, his fingers caressing my arm.

“Exactly.” I laugh. “He wouldn’t know how much of a catch I am.

He wouldn’t fuck me like you. He wouldn’t hold me like you do.

There’s no way he could spoil me like you.

A guy my age wouldn’t be this committed.

This obsessed with me.” Amusing myself, I laugh.

“What would a guy my age bring to the table? Liabilities.”

He deeply laughs at my little finance joke. “You understand more than you want to admit about my conversations.”

“Maybe.”

“So, what do I bring to the table?”

I want to laugh at the smugness on his face, but I am respecting his wishes for the evening and am not going to be a brat.

“Everything.” I say it, and I mean it. He brings fucking everything to the table.

Adam leans over, kissing me, then pulls back. “I won’t have as much time though.”

I squint at him. “What’s got you feeling your mortality right now?”

“I’ve been thinking a lot about kids.” Truly, that’s the last thing I was expecting him to say. “I don’t want to rush you, but I’m not getting younger.”

“Adam,” I scold. “You’re crazy. Don’t even joke about impregnating me.”
