Chapter 19 Settling the Score
The speedboat disappeared into the dark.
I watched a moment, wiped my hands, walked back to shore.
A Qian had seen the whole thing.
He clapped slowly.
“Killing the heart, not the body.”
Uncle Hong was finished.
I finally breathed.
I turned to A Qian.
“Everything’s handled.
You hold the fort.
I’m catching a flight.”
I knew where Liang Sheng was recovering. I’d booked the ticket for tonight, the last loose end tied—it was time to find him.
A Qian stared.
“You haven’t slept in two days.
At least rest one night—”
I waved without looking back.
He cursed behind me.
“Fucking insane gays.”
