Speeches by each member to a group gathered for the opening:

Good morning, everyone. I’m Juliet Sullivan.

I have the honor of presenting first at our inaugural launch of Harmony Health Collective.

I’m pleased to be chosen to participate in the wonderful experience.

I’m a yogi, and I’ll be offering group and individual classes here.

I’ve worked in yoga for twelve years and taught at many of the yoga studios in Rockford.

I also have additional training in yoga therapy.

Yoga offers a wide range of benefits, impacting both physical and mental well-being.

It improves flexibility, balance, and strength, while also promoting relaxation and reducing stress.

Additionally, yoga can improve mental health, enhance sleep, and even boost the immune system.

I hope to see many in this group in my classes or individually, if you prefer.

Thanks to you and all the other practitioners for giving me, us, this opportunity.

Hi, there. I’m Finn McKenna and like the lovely Juliet, I’m thrilled to be included in Harmony Healing Collective.

I have a college degree in business and joined the corporate world but quickly realized that career wasn’t a fit.

I then trained for a year in the practice of Reiki, an energy medicine technique originating in Japan.

In it, healers pass energy to a patient through direct physical contact or intention from a distance.

Reiki is a practice which reduces stress, anxiety and depression, manages physical pain, improves sleep, enhances well-being and brings inner peace.

It’s probably new to you all, but I know what I’m doing and can help you in a myriad of ways.

Hello, everyone. I’m Oliver Ricardi and I’m a massage therapist. First, I want to give a shout out to my best buddy from high school, Juliet Sullivan.

She’s damned talented and the hardest worker I’ve ever known.

As for my specialty, I have several degrees and certifications.

Most people are unaware of the rigorous requirements to become a licensed massage therapist. A person needs to complete a massage therapy training program and pass a licensing exam.

These programs typically require around 500-1,000 hours of training, which can take several months to a year to complete.

Many programs offer diplomas or certificates upon completion.

I attended The Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage right here in Rockford.

It offers a course of study that can be completed in 6 to 15 months.

After completing training, I passed a licensing exam from the Massage and Bodywork Licensing Examination.

Gaining experience through apprenticeships or internships is the path most of us follow.

Ciao, ladies and gentlemen. I’m Scarlet Smith and I’m from the Woo Woo department.

I offer advanced conversational hypnosis, a process where the client goes into trance.

Most clients talk with their eyes open; others close their eyes or stare off into the distance.

The client is awake and aware the whole time, however as they sink deeper into the trance, the unconscious mind takes over the conversation.

Yes, it might sound scary. But it’s very valuable in treating anxiety, depression, stress, and pain management.

I have a college degree in psychology and 100 hours of hypnotherapy training workshops, plus 20 hours of supervised individual training and 2 years of practical experience using hypnosis.

I practice Ericksonian hypnotherapy, based on Milton H.

Erickson using indirect suggestion, metaphor and storytelling to alter a client's behavior, in lieu of direct suggestions. So in a sense, it’s directed by you.

Since this is a less common treatment, I’m offering a free treatment for anyone signing up today.

Hello, there. I’m Daisy Taylor and I’m a gynecology and intimacy coach.

I have a BS in nursing from the University of Rockford and an MS in women’s health care.

A “gynecology coach" can refer to different types of coaching in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. I do not deal with pregnant women, rather I offer personalized plans and ongoing support to help patients achieve their health goals related to gynecology. I also trained under Dr. Sadie Lodi, a famous intimacy coach. I focus on addressing the emotional and physical well-being of women, particularly those experiencing perimenopause, menopause, or sexual health issues. On a personal note, I believe it takes a special woman to ask for help in this area. I’m hoping as part of this collective, intimacy coaching will become more prevalent.

I’m Heath Elsworth, a men’s health coach.

To play off something Daisy said, it takes a special man to admit his problems and seek help with them.

But this program isn’t for sissies. I’m an M.D.

and I decided to specialize in a side practice in men's health coaching. I’m certified by the Men's Health Network for healthcare professionals and peer leaders.

I achieved advanced certificates with specific topics like penile conditions, testicular cancer, and androgen deficiency.

I also took courses covering various aspects of men's health, such as prostate health, mental health, sexual wellness, and healthy aging. Men’s Health includes coaching that focuses on improving the overall well-being of men through various aspects of their lives, including physical, mental, and emotional health.

Coaching can help men identify and break unhealthy patterns like excessive drinking, overworking, or poor stress management.

Coaches guide men in developing healthier eating habits, increasing physical activity, and improving sleep, as well as promoting emotional well-being.
