Jess

A s I opened my eyes and saw the copy of Office Delight beside me on the bed, a wide grin spread across my face.

Last night was everything .

If I didn’t feel the sweet after-sex ache between my thighs I might’ve thought it was all a dream. I wouldn’t blame myself for thinking that it was, though.

Firstly, I’d got back into reading again, which was something I wasn’t sure would ever happen. And I hadn’t just read a chapter or two. I’d read half a book.

And secondly, I hadn’t just read the steamy scenes, Theo had helped me bring them to life.

When he was reading that chapter in his sexy voice, I knew I was getting turned on, but at first I hadn’t even realised that my hands had started roaming all over my body. My breathing must’ve been a lot heavier than I’d realised too if Theo heard me.

I knew I was close when Theo said that he’d had to pause for a second, and I desperately wanted to tell him why I needed him to continue.

But the last thing I’d expected was that he’d come to my room to personally deliver two spectacular orgasms on my desk because he wanted to be the one to get me off.

After all the sweet things he’d done for me, I didn’t think I could like him any more. But when he was about to leave the room because his goal to satisfy me had been achieved, I melted like ice cream over hot apple pie. There was no way I was letting him go back to his room without making him come.

And then there was the epic rocking chair sex. Which was even better than the first night.

Once we’d finished, we both swore that would be the last time. I knew it was important that this time we kept our word, but I was already missing the softness of his lips, the hardness of his body, his smile, his laugh, that buttery voice.

No, no, no.

I absolutely couldn’t see Theo again.

Time to get up and start the day.

I climbed out of bed, wincing at the soreness between my legs, and hobbled towards the bathroom.

Just before I reached the door, I spotted a phone on the floor. I’d already seen that mine was resting on the bedside table, so I immediately knew it was Theo’s. It must’ve fallen out of his tracksuit bottoms when he took them off.

I knew we’d agreed not to see each other, but this was important. Theo would need his phone for work. There was no way he’d be able to be without it. I’d have to take it to him.

After I washed my face and brushed my teeth, I pulled on my dressing gown, left my room and knocked on his door. I hadn’t heard Theo go out for his run yet like he normally did, but that could be because I was in a deep sleep. Those orgasms had zapped all of my energy.

I was just about to leave when the door cracked open.

‘Hi!’ Theo’s eyes widened.

As I took in the sight of him, my whole body tingled. He had a white towel wrapped around his waist and was topless.

My eyes fixated on a single drop of water that rolled down his pecs, then down the centre of his stomach until it sank into the towel.

‘Hey.’ I snapped out of my trance. ‘I… you left your phone. I thought you might need it.’

‘Oh! I didn’t even realise. As soon as I came back to my room I crashed out on the bed. I didn’t even look for it to set my alarm this morning so I could go for my run. I slept right through and only just had my shower now. Do you want to come in?’

That was like asking if I liked chocolate. The answer was a big fat yes.

‘Yeah. Thanks. I’ve always wanted to know what the other rooms were like here,’ I said like that was the only reason I wanted to come into Theo’s room.

‘It’s pretty similar to yours,’ he said as I stepped inside and closed the door behind me. ‘Old-fashioned. Such a shame as this place could be amazing if it was renovated.’

‘You have different bedding, though,’ I said, looking at the shiny black sheets.

‘I do,’ he said sheepishly. ‘I brought my own.’

‘Are they silk?’ I asked.

‘Yes. ’

‘Very fancy,’ I replied, thinking they must’ve cost a fortune. ‘They don’t quite go with the decor, though. Maybe Glenda likes it. Not sure why, but maybe the floral curtains and bedsheets have some sort of local significance.’

‘Hmm-hmm.’ Theo raised his eyebrow. ‘Next time I’ll ask her.’

We stood in front of each other in silence, just staring.

God, I loved his face. I could literally look at him all day. Those blue eyes… those lips. What I wouldn’t do to feel those lips roaming all over my body again.

‘So,’ I said, breaking the silence. ‘Here’s your phone.’ I handed it to him.

Theo took it without breaking my gaze, then tossed it on the bed.

‘Forgive me, Jess,’ he said, stroking my cheek, ‘but I’ve suddenly been overcome with the need to thank you properly for returning my phone.’

‘What did you have in mind?’

‘How about I give you another orgasm? Would that be acceptable?’

Hearing those words set my body on fire.

‘That would be very acceptable. But you don’t seem to have a rocking chair in here. How is your bed? Is it as creaky as mine?’

‘No idea.’ He stepped forward, his lips now just inches away from mine. ‘Maybe we should conduct some tests to find out…’

Two hours later, I was still in Theo’s bed, my head resting on his chest and our legs entwined. Turned out that his bed was a little less creaky than the one in my room.

We discovered that when we conducted some very thorough market research.

I’d never slept on silk bedsheets before, but I had to admit I liked the feel of them on my skin.

‘I should go back to my room and do some work,’ I sighed, planting a soft kiss on Theo’s shoulder as he stroked my back.

‘I should get up too, but it’s so hard,’ he huffed. ‘I just want to stay here with you all day.’

My heart fluttered. I loved that he didn’t hide how he was feeling. He just came right out and said it.

‘Me too. But…’

‘I know, I know. I’m starting to lose count of the amount of times we’ve sworn that we won’t sleep together and end up doing it anyway.’

‘It’s not our fault that we accidentally fell on the bed and that your dick ended up buried inside me. Twice .’ I chuckled.

‘That’s true. And it wasn’t my fault that I was hungry and the only thing I could find to feast on was your beautiful pussy. A man’s got to eat to keep his strength up, you know.’ Theo laughed and the sound made my heart bloom.

‘A girl’s gotta eat too! And when I saw that sausage laying on the bed, I couldn’t let it go to waste.’ My hand slid between his legs and I wrapped it around his hard length.

I’d never liked giving my ex blow jobs. But going down on Theo was completely different.

Seeing the way his eyes rolled back in his head as I licked and sucked him and hearing the way he groaned knowing that I was the one responsible for giving him pleasure was a massive turn-on. I was already looking forward to doing it all over again. I couldn’t get enough of this man.

‘Did you seriously just call my cock a sausage ?’ Theo grinned.

‘Yep!’ I propped myself up on one elbow beside him so I could look him in the eye. ‘Damn right.’

‘A sausage , though!’ He chuckled. ‘If you’re going to compare my manhood to an object, I’d prefer something a bit more substantial. Like a baguette or even the humble banana. Don’t those BookTokers and Bookstagrammers use the aubergine emoji to describe dicks, rather than sausages ?’

‘It was the first thing that came into my mind, because it’s ten in the morning and, y’know, Glenda likes to serve up an English breakfast, so I thought it was appropriate,’ I giggled. ‘I didn’t mean a cocktail sausage if that’s what you’re worried about. I meant a big, juicy, delicious, meaty, thoroughly satisfying sausage.’

‘Good to know.’

‘And listen to you!’ I teased. ‘I didn’t know you knew about BookTokers and Bookstagrammers. Someone’s been doing their research!’

‘I was looking up the author of Office Delight and got sucked down a rabbit hole. Romance readers are really enthusiastic about the books they love, aren’t they?’

‘Yep. We’re very passionate.’

‘I love that they spend time making videos and mood boards about the characters. I’ll have to show you some of the ones I found for Rocco and Virginia. ’

Mind blown.

‘I’d really like that,’ I beamed. Never did I think that Theo of all people would be offering to show me reels, posts and videos on my favourite book. I loved how into it he’d become.

‘Maybe we can meet up after work. Go for a walk or something, have dinner and read together again?’

‘Yeah?’ I asked. Only because I knew we were supposed to be keeping our distance.

‘Yes. We have to be realistic. Like I said earlier, we’ve tried several times to fight the attraction and it’s not working. So maybe we should just go with it. Set realistic boundaries. This presentation is important to both of us, so during the day, we stay focused and work. Then after hours we hang out as the kids say.’

‘Okay.’ I nodded. ‘Let’s hang out. Maybe we shouldn’t the day before the presentation as we’ll both need a clear head, but for the next seven days or so I think we’ll be fine.’

I wanted to ask what would happen after the presentation, but one step at a time. We could discuss that at a later date. Right now I was happy to have an all-access pass to Theo’s body.

‘Deal,’ he confirmed.

It probably wasn’t the smartest decision I’d made, but as Theo rolled over and pressed his hard body against mine, all thoughts of the consequences evaporated.

And I wasn’t even sorry about it.
