Chapter 49

Daniel

Anu is leaving in a few days and I’m yet to know the details of her trip.

All I know is, she’s going for a wedding with Nkem, and they are hanging out with some friends for a few days after the wedding.

Where she’s staying and flight details, I don’t know, and I don’t like it at all. We are addressing this today.

“Can you share your trip itinerary with me?” I state. Though it was a request, her frown is immediate, like I’d just requested her entire world, which I would be requesting as well, just not right now.

What did she expect would happen when she blew into my life like a fucking whirlwind, not a gentle breeze? She should have known I would hold on tight to her and not be cavalier when it comes to her.

“What’s wrong?” She stirs her tea, avoiding my eyes.

I doubt she knows she’s my secret obsession, and I dislike the thought of her traveling without me and not knowing her every single location.

“I don’t ask you for your trip itineraries.

” She stresses the trips. “I don’t see why I should share with you, my itinerary.

I have told you where I will be, who I will be with and what I will be doing.

I think that should suffice.” Her voice is calm, but the challenge in her eyes is clear. I watch her sip her tea.

I had to fall for the world’s most stubborn woman. I chuckle. I have spent my life waiting for her and she doesn’t know her moves are still five steps behind mine.

“I didn’t think you cared about my itinerary.”

“I don’t.” Her reply is rapid.

“Good, but I do care about your itinerary, so please, share it with me.”

“Until you share yours, you can just take me at my words.”

“Okay,” I state, walking away. Once in my room, I call Patrick.

“Boss.”

“Share my entire calendar with Ms Kuti and every detail about my travels. And I want it done right now. Call her immediately.”

I hear his heavy sigh.

“Your entire calendar, sir?”

“Yes, give her all access, and be sure to take information on her scheduled travel itinerary.”

“Okay, boss.”

I hung up and exhale. Anu is going to drive me crazy.
