JUDE

Soren sparkled when he spoke of his home country, a place called Belvaria that I’d heard of before but about which I knew very little.

From the way he described it, it sounded beautiful in an old-world sort of way, with mountain towns, stone palaces, blue lakes, and traditions that seemed interesting.

He spoke fondly of the summer festivals, the royal family, and the villages that still looked as though they belonged in another time.

He hadn’t mentioned why he left, and I didn’t want to pry so early into our relationship, which he hadn’t confirmed yet, though it was safe to say from his presence that he was on board.

“My brothers and I used to sneak off to the lake for a swim,” he said, all but forgetting he’d been eating.

“Once, my eldest brother, Marcel, almost drowned while saving our brother Thaddeus. My father was furious and wanted to ground us, but my mother convinced him that it would be best for us to have swimming lessons. I was terrified of the water then, but now I love it.”

“We can take a walk on the beach after, if you want.”

“Really?” The wistful look on his face disappeared, replaced by an earnest expression. “I’d love that.”

“Of course.”

Either Soren was excited to go for a walk on the beach, or he wasn’t all that hungry, but soon I took the plates away. I brought dessert over to the table—a slice of tiramisu that I did not know enough about cooking to make—and the pages of the contract I’d tailored for us.

“Wow,” he said, flipping through the pages. “That’s a lot.”

“Don’t worry. I’ll go through each section with you, so you understand what you’re getting yourself into.”

We worked through the contract slowly, pausing whenever Soren had a question.

I explained what I would be responsible for as his Daddy—guidance, structure, honesty, patience, and making sure he always felt safe enough to speak up.

His responsibilities were simpler: communicate with me, respect the boundaries we agreed on, follow the rules we set together, and tell me when something no longer felt right.

The section on discipline took the longest.

“I don’t want anything humiliating,” Soren said, tracing one finger down the page. “And I don’t want to be ignored.”

“Then neither of those things will happen.”

He considered the list before agreeing to extra chores, loss of privileges, writing reflections, and being sent to sit quietly in a corner for an undetermined amount of time, depending on the severity of the offense.

A spanking was something we ruled out after he admitted that he found it a turn-on, so it wouldn’t be effective.

“Punishment is meant to correct something and help you do better,” I said to him. “If it ever feels cruel, then I’ve failed, and if it’s turning you on, then you won’t learn your lesson.”

“That sounds fair.”

By the time we reached the final page, the tiramisu was finished. He stared at the signature line for a long moment, then looked up at me.

“What is it?” I asked, sensing his hesitation. “Is there something you want to change?”

“One thing,” he replied. “I don’t want to sleep alone in the guest bedroom. Can’t I sleep with you once you’re my Daddy?”

My bedroom was usually off-limits to my subs.

If they needed comfort, this took place in the guest bedroom, which they occupied for the length of their stay.

I wasn’t ready to give up that rule yet.

I’d already changed one major thing in the contract: that we could have sex when it was discussed and mutual consent was given.

“How about we make a clause that the decision can be revisited?”

He frowned, not seeming too happy with the arrangement.

“It doesn’t mean we can’t share a bed occasionally,” I added. “But we’ll do so in your bedroom. It’s important that you feel safe in your space and I feel safe in mine, though as your Daddy, I hope that you wouldn’t deny me entry into your room unnecessarily.”

“I guess that’s fine then,” he said, caving in. “Where do I sign?”

“Before you do, there’s just one more thing. You can dissolve this contract at any time by telling me you want out. Otherwise, it will continue on a thirty-day rotating basis until I’m satisfied with your growth. Is that acceptable to you?”

“Yes, Daddy.”

Oh, the sweet sound of that word on his lips. I didn’t expect it to come so easily to him, to feel so right. The word settled deep in my chest, warm and possessive, stirring every protective instinct I’d spent years learning to keep under control.

“Then sign here, my little prince.”

I handed him the pen, and he didn’t hesitate to sign his name and return the pen. His signature was beautiful in its flourish, drawn beneath the line where he’d printed his name: Soren Kline. I quickly scratched my signature on the opposite side, and it was done.

He was mine.

“That’s it,” I said softly. “Tomorrow I’ll—”

But Soren was out of his chair and climbing onto my lap before I could finish. His arms came around my neck, hanging on to me as he buried his face in the crook of my shoulder.

“Daddy,” he breathed softly.

He was so needy for connection, which wasn’t something I was used to from subs right away.

I’d had subs in the past I’d never even given a hug, mostly because they came to me damaged and hadn’t trusted easily, but Soren was sweet and so different.

He didn’t come across as someone who had been deprived of affection all his life but the opposite.

Instead, he seemed to be someone used to affection who’d lost it and was now seeking it again in the arms of any man available—in my arms.

After a while, I squeezed his waist. “We should probably get going if you still want to take a walk along the beach.”

Soren lifted his head from my shoulder, his expression soft and a little sleepy. “I do.”

We left the dishes where they were and stepped out through the back of the house.

The sky had gone dark while we’d talked, leaving only a faint strip of fading color along the horizon.

Moonlight caught on the water, turning the waves silver as they rolled toward shore.

It was beautiful, just like the young man at my side.

For a while, neither of us spoke, and we didn’t need to fill the silence with chatter either. A peace came over me that I wasn’t prepared for. For the first time, I thought about soulmates—and how much of it was true—because it oddly felt as if the young man at my side might be exactly that.

Soren walked beside me with his shoes in one hand, letting the damp sand sink beneath his bare feet. Every so often, the breeze tugged at his shirt and the waves rushed in to splash us.

We walked along the shoreline until the lights from my house looked smaller behind us, then stopped near the edge of the water. Soren lowered himself onto the sand, and I sat beside him.

The ocean filled the silence between us. Although we could glimpse other people farther down the beach, it still felt like we were alone in our little world. One of us must have moved because we’d sat with inches between us, but soon our shoulders were nearly touching.

Then our hands did. At first, it was just a brush of our fingers, but neither of us moved away. A slow heat fired up in the pit of my stomach, warning me that I still had time to douse the flames before they burned too brightly and out of control.

Slowly, his hand shifted closer.

So did mine.

Our fingers brushed again, then rested together on top of the sand.

I turned my head and found Soren already looking at me.

“Soren.”

“Hmm?”

“This isn’t something I usually do,” I said softly, my words almost swallowed up by the sound of crashing waves.

Then I leaned in, leaving an inch between us so he could reject me if he wanted.

He pressed his lips against mine, the kiss soft and unhurried as we lingered to learn each other’s mouths.

I explored the sweetness of his tongue, the graze of his teeth, and the tiny gasps he emitted as if he were running out of air.

When we parted, he stayed close, our breaths mingling. I glanced around us, confirming we wouldn’t be seen by anyone.

“Do you still want to come?” I asked him.

“Yes,” he said so quickly that I laughed. “But is it safe to do that here?”

“It’s dark and no one’s close enough to us to see anything. I have a feeling it won’t take you long.”

“Doubt it,” he confirmed. “It’s been six months since. I’ll probably pop off the second you touch me.”

“Good. That’s what I’m counting on.”

I kissed him again, gently easing him to lie back on the sand. After wiping my hand off onto my trousers, I slipped my hand beneath the elastic waistband of his pants and his underwear. My palm wrapped around the thick length of his cock, and he groaned into my mouth, hips bucking.

“Say it, little prince,” I whispered against his lips.

“Daddy,” he moaned. “That feels so good. Please. Don’t stop touching me.”

I had sensed his earlier hesitation about doing this on the beach, but that seemed to have flown out the window as his cries picked up.

“Shh. We don’t want everyone else to hear what a naughty boy you are, do we?”

“I’m only naughty because Daddy’s naughty,” he whispered.

Saucy. I liked the spunk in him.

“Sassy boys get punished, you know,” I said, removing my hand from his cock, and he whined.

“I’m sorry, Daddy. Please.”

Grinning wickedly, I checked around us again to ensure we were still alone, then pulled down the front of his pants and his underwear. I bent my head and captured the head of his cock inside my mouth. Soren’s hand flew up to his face, and he bit his fist, swallowing his cry.

I sank lower, taking him to the back of my throat, and swallowed around him. His hips jerked, and a squeaking cry left him as he began to come. Ropes of cum shot down my throat, warming my belly. I didn’t stop sucking until his hips fell back against the sand with a soft thud.

“Oh my God,” he breathed heavily. “That was—I can’t—I’ve never been sucked off in public before. If my father knew about this, he would have a conniption.”

I fixed his clothes and lowered myself next to him. “You always think about your father immediately after sex?”

“Oh, I’m sorry.” He twisted his body until he fell directly onto me without hesitation. Affection rolled off him in waves as he rubbed his head over my chest like a satisfied kitten. I cupped his ass and swallowed thickly at how plump he was from behind.

To sink between those cheeks…

A soft snore left Soren, and I startled at how quickly he was falling asleep. “Soren?”

“Hmm.”

“You can’t fall asleep. Come on. Let’s get you back to the house.”

“But it’s so nice here, Daddy,” he whispered. “It’s been so long…”

“Since what?” No response. “Soren?”

Fuck.

Guess I’m carrying him back to the house and he’s sleeping over tonight.
