64. Beginning Of Truth #3
The words came out broken. Her eyes softened instantly and she settled on bed and opened her arms.
I didn't wait another moment.
I walked straight into them and wrapped my arms around her.
The moment she hugged me back, my control shattered.
Tears spilled down my cheeks as years of buried emotions seemed to rise to the surface all at once. Something that felt a little like the motherly comfort I had spent years pretending I didn't miss.
Dadi didn't ask questions. Didn't demand explanations. Didn't tell me to stop crying.
She simply held me and ran her fingers through my hair while I cried against her shoulder.
After some time, I rested my head in her lap and closed my eyes. Her fingers continued moving through my hair slowly while tears slipped silently from the corners of my eyes.
Nothing felt right anymore.
For the last two days, guilt had been sitting inside my chest like a stone. Ever since I pushed her. Ever since I saw blood on her forehead.
I didn't even understand why it was hurting this much when she was the one who was wrong.
Questions kept circling inside my head.
What if I never knew the complete truth?
Overthinking, imagining countless possibilities, replaying old memories, questioning every decision I had made... everything mixed together until my mind felt exhausted.
At some point, Dadi's gentle touch became distant. My eyelids grew heavy and before I realized it, sleep pulled me under.
I was floating somewhere between sleep and dreams, feeling so peaceful that it almost seemed like I didn't belong to this world.
Then two strong arms slipped beneath me.
The next second, my body left the bed.
A familiar scent wrapped around me instantly. Warm cologne mixed with the faint smell of leather, fresh aftershave, and the long exhausting day he carried on his shoulders.
Yugant. I didn't even need to open my eyes.
Instinctively, I buried my face deeper into his chest and snuggled closer.
His heart beat steadily beneath my ear.
Safe.
Home.
That's what it felt like.
He carried me to our room, and shut the door behind. A moment later, I was lowered onto the soft mattress of our bed. But the moment he tried to pull away my arms wrapped around his neck automatically.
His warm breath brushed against my face, sending a shiver down my spine.
I finally opened my eyes a little.
God. He looked unfairly handsome.
His hair was slightly messy from running his fingers through it all day. Two buttons of his shirt were open, his tie hanging loose around his neck, exhaustion visible in every feature and yet somehow making him look even more attractive.
"Sleep," he murmured. "It's late."
He tried pulling away. I tightened my hold around his neck.
I never used to wake up once I fell asleep.
But ever since marrying this man, somehow my eyes always opened whenever he came close or left the bed.
"Have you had dinner?" I asked sleepily.
He sighed and brushed a strand of hair away from my face. " Yes, little storm."
Satisfied, I relaxed slightly but didn't let go.
H chuckled. "What now?"
"Nothing."
"Then let me go."
I shook my head and tugged at his tie lightly, pulling him more closer before he could move away.
A helpless smile crossed his face then he surrendered. Leaning down, he brushed his lips against mine in a soft, lingering kiss.
Warm.
Comforting.
Like coming home after a long, exhausting day.
My fingers slipped into his hair automatically, playing with the silky strands while his hand settled at my waist, holding me close.
I wanted the intensity he always carried, the kind that made my heart forget its rhythm. But tonight, he only left slow kisses on my lips, patient and gentle.
I tugged lightly at his hair.
A smile touched his lips before the kiss deepened, stealing away every coherent thought in my head.
A soft sigh escaped me as his arm tightened around my waist, pulling me closer.
"I like that," he murmured against my lips, his voice rough from exhaustion and something deeper.
His forehead rested against mine for a moment before he brushed a trail of kisses along my jaw, making my pulse race.
I shivered and looked up at him.
The tiredness was still there in his eyes, but so was the affection that always made my chest ache.
My fingers moved to the buttons of his shirt, undoing one absentmindedly as I held his gaze.
"I need you," I whispered against his skin pushing his shirt off.
His expression softened instantly. "So did I."
Without breaking eye contact, he kicked off his shoes and wrapped me in his arms again.
His lips found the spot where my neck met my shoulder. He sucked there before biting lightly, then moved lower until he reached my breast.
His rough hand gripped my waist while his mouth settled over my left breast, taking the peak into his mouth.
A cry of pleasure escaped my lips.
He sucked on me through the thin fabric of my t-shirt, his warm mouth sending shivers through my body. I fisted the pillow beneath me and tried to control myself.
Then his hand moved to my right breast, grabbing it and squeezing it like a stress ball.
Another moan escPed my lips, and before I recover he grabbed the hem of my t-shirt and pulled it over my head. The cool air brushed against my skin, but it lasted only a second.
His gaze swept over me, darkening even further before he lowered his head and captured my nipple in his mouth again.
Another moan escaped my lips, but he doesn't care. Within seconds our clothes was on floor.
My whole body heated up when he rubbed himself against me. The pulse between my legs quickened, and a shiver ran through me as he shamelessly maintained eye contact while doing the most unholy things to me. Then he thrust harder.
