Chapter 16

CHAPTER SIXTEEN

S hae

I woke just after midnight, my boobs half strangled in the lingerie that Boon had bunched under them.

The blanket still covered me, and as I stretched my legs out, I was deliciously sore.

A stupid grin split my face as I thought back on every detail of the laundry room incident.

I would never be able to do my dirty clothes again without blushing.

I sat up and swung my legs over, getting to my feet and putting my lingerie back together.

My giggle rang out in the quiet of the night as I thought about calling my best friend. Lydia was going to crap her pants when I told her what happened. Entering the kitchen, I opened the fridge for a bottle of water. I froze, then burst out laughing.

There, on the top shelf, was a sandwich on a plate, wrapped up and waiting for me. A sticky note sat on top. All it said in messy handwriting was I have a load of laundry at my place that needs washing. Don’t let me down, woman .

I took half the turkey and mustard sandwich with me as I walked to my bedroom. It was a damn good sandwich—how did Boon know I liked mustard and not mayonnaise?—and part of me couldn’t believe he’d made it for me after all.

The girls had been right. Hate-fucking was a lot of fun.

I snuggled into my bed, tummy full and brain circling every hot detail.

I had a feeling the panic would set in later.

Tomorrow, my busy brain would dissect everything we’d said and done and wonder if I just ruined a decades-long hate-ship, but for now, I’d sleep easy in the afterglow of the best orgasm I’d ever had.

The ping of my phone woke me up midmorning, earlier than I wanted to get up on a Saturday. It was Lydia, of course, wanting to know how my date with the guy from the app had gone.

Me: He cancelled on me ten minutes before he was supposed to be picking me up.

Lydia: I’m gonna kill him. Slowly. Cruelly. I already have ideas.

I sat up and brushed my hair away from my face. If it wasn’t for the slight sting of my skin against the sheets when I scooted up to the headboard to sit upright, I would have thought last night hadn’t happened. Boon Wolfe had spanked me.

Me: Don’t bother. I ended up getting the booty call I was after anyway.

Lydia: WHAT? WHO?

Lydia: I’m coming over.

She got over to my place in record time.

I’d taken a shower, gotten dressed, and eaten the other half of that sandwich for breakfast before she arrived.

I noticed I couldn’t stop smiling which meant I was entering dangerous territory.

Having a crush on a guy and then sleeping with him was not good for my heart.

I needed to keep that bish locked up tight. We hate-fucked. That’s it.

Lydia didn’t even bother to knock. She just crashed through my front door and hollered. “You better give me every fucking detail right now, you hooch hussy!”

She plopped down on the couch next to me, folded her arms, and waited impatiently. I offered her a cup of coffee but she just glared at me.

“Okay, okay. Sheesh.” And then I spilled every detail I could remember, and I was pretty sure I remembered every little thing.

His words, the size of his dick, his hands on my ass, the care in which he pulled a blanket over me.

I told Lydia about it all. When I was finished, her mouth was hanging open and her eyes had gone wide.

She sat up straight and put her hands out in the air, still not saying a word. Then she whirled on me. “Let me get this straight. You got hate-fucked on the washing machine within an inch of your life and then he fed you afterward ?”

“Oh, yeah. He fed me alright. Hee, hee.” I waggled my eyebrows.

“And now you’re making dick jokes.” She hopped to her feet and began to pace. “You’re living every girl’s dream, Shae. Goddamn, I’m so happy for you! Jealous, of course, but so dang happy! The girls are going to freak out!”

I stood up too, smile and teasing gone. “No, we can’t tell them.”

“What? Why not? This is the best thing to happen to our group in years. We can’t hold out on them.”

I put my hands on her shoulders. “Lydia. Calm yourself. It was just a onetime thing. We both needed some kind of release from the tension between us. I don’t want to tell the girls and then have this become a thing. It’s not a thing.”

“It’s so a thing!” Lydia shouted.

I blinked in the face of her excitement. “I need you to swear to keep this just between us. Okay?”

She glared at me, huffed out a long breath, and then held out her pinkie finger. I wrapped mine around it and that was that. She’d go to her grave with the details of my night.

“Now that we have that settled. Is it time to head to Rosemary’s for HAGS?”

Lydia’s frown lifted the tiniest of bits. “Yeah. Did you get a gift?”

I snorted. “Of course I did. What kind of friend would I be if I didn’t show up with a gift? Although, Boon saw that jigsaw puzzle Hattie gave me last time. It was humiliating.”

Lydia was grinning now. “I bet he loved it. Oh, and we’re driving separately.”

“Why? It’s not that far out of your way to drop me off afterward.”

Lydia was now the one wagging her eyebrows up and down. “Because I have a feeling your next-door neighbor is going to be waiting for you when you get home. I don’t want to spook your booty call.”

I shook my head and grabbed my stuff, ignoring my racing heart. “You’re out of your mind.”

The HAGS meeting was subdued this week. I felt like I couldn’t share the most exciting thing that had happened to me in forever and Lydia kept glaring at me for making her keep her silence.

None of the girls had gone on a date from the app we’d all joined.

The mood was low and not even the gifting of vibrators could lift it.

Probably because the necessity of vibrators in a group of vibrant women not getting sexed up from real men was a depressing thought.

We ended the night early and all went our separate ways.

Contrary to Lydia’s hopes, Boon was not waiting for me when I arrived him.

Gigi was. She sat on my front porch with a potted plant on her lap.

I climbed out of my car and hollered up a hello while I jammed the vibrator box into my tote bag and hoped she couldn’t see the bright pink picture of it on the outside of the packaging.

“Hi, Gigi. Everything okay?”

She stood from the rocker and swiped at the back of her pants. “Oh, sure, sure.” She kept swiping and I tried to smile around the awkwardness of her probably having a painful splinter in her backside right now because of my stupid chairs.

I unlocked my door and invited her in. I put my bag down carefully, removed my shoes, and headed for the living room. We sat down and she put the plant on my coffee table.

“That’s for you. An apology for the goats getting into your flowers last week.” She smiled, putting me at ease instantly.

She had this way about her. She could see right through you, but she also cared for you despite all the terrible things she saw in you. She’d been like a second mother to me for so long, I was used to her ways. I’d just never had anything I was trying to hide from her before.

“Oh, you didn’t have to do that. Boon already replanted them and I don’t go in the back much anyway.”

She leaned over and took my hand in hers, squeezing. “I promised your mom that I’d look out for you when you were just a little thing. Didn’t think she wouldn’t be here to do the same, however.”

Gigi sniffed, and I couldn’t help tearing up a bit myself. My mom and Gigi had been best friends and neighbors. Mom’s death hadn’t been easy on Gigi, especially after Willy passed too. I knew having her boys back in Blueball was exactly what she needed and I was glad they’d made the move.

“I won’t keep you, honey. I just wanted to see how you’re doing.”

I squeezed her hand back. “I’m good. Just busy with teaching, seeing my friends. You know, that sort of thing.”

She tilted her head, and I braced myself. I’d known her long enough to know that head tilt meant something was coming I might not like. “And Boon? Is he being a gentleman?”

My brain instantly went to him railing me against the washing machine. “Yes,” I managed to squeak out. Do not blush right now.

Gigi smiled and stood up, taking her hand back. “Well, that’s a relief. I know he comes over to check on you, but I wanted to make sure he wasn’t coming too late. You need your sleep so you can teach the youth of America.”

With a wink, she spun around and let herself out of my house.

I sat there stunned, brain swirling on whether she knew about Boon and me or not.

Was that just a casual comment about being at my house late?

Or did she know? Oh God. This was not good.

I might not ever be able to show my face outside of my house again.

It didn’t help that my bed dipped after midnight, waking me up from a fitful dream. Arms pulled me into a muscly embrace.

“Shh. It’s me,” Boon whispered. I’d know that voice and his scent anywhere. Even in the middle of the night and in the pitch-black darkness.

“What…what are you doing here?” I tried to blink the sleep from my brain.

His hands roamed over the front of my body, instantly making my breath come faster. “You’ve got to lock your back door, lovebug.”

I smiled into the darkness. Despite Lydia’s prediction, I firmly did not believe Boon would come over again. I was stupid excited that he had. “But then how would you sneak over here?”

He groaned and rolled his hips into my ass, his erection obvious. His whisper in my ear made me shiver. “I have a filthy fantasy about fucking a schoolteacher, and you’re the only one who can give me this fantasy.”

Dang. This man. Everything he said made my body ache. “Oh yeah? Why would I help you?”

“I’ll make it worth your while, lovebug. Multiple times over.” His fingers found my nipple and plucked it over and over again through my tank top.

He could hear the way my lungs were heaving just from that action alone. There was no use lying about wanting him.

“If you can make me come harder than the vibrator I got from my HAGS group tonight, I’ll do it.”

He stilled, then rolled on top of me. My legs instantly opened, letting my body cradle him. “I have no idea what a HAGS group is, but I happily take on that challenge. Anything you don’t like?”

I shook my head, already out of my mind with what he might do to me. The man was magic when he touched my body. “Nothing that I know of.”

His grin was downright lecherous. He dipped below the blankets so fast I didn’t have a chance to do anything but hold on for dear life to the headboard. He had my panties off and my knees over his massive shoulders in two seconds flat. He was talented, I had to give him that.

He dove in like he was on a time clock, his tongue doing things to my flesh I’d never experienced before.

Sure, I’d been married, but this hadn’t been my ex-husband’s favorite activity.

A lick here, a rub there, and then he was gone, interested in getting inside my body before any real work was done to prep the slide home.

Boon? Oh dear God, the man had wicked skills and he was using them all on me.

He flicked, licked, and suckled on every part of me like he couldn’t get enough.

His fingers entered the equation, and I began to chant his name.

He sucked my clit into his mouth and pumped in and out of me ruthlessly.

My toes cramped and my heels beat against his back.

Even so, he didn’t let up. The man was probably suffocating between my thighs and under the blankets, but he ate me out like he was a starving man.

I couldn’t hold out much longer, and when I exploded, my whole body froze, stuck in some time continuum where pleasure was the only thing that existed and I was pleasure itself.

No longer human form, but pure feeling. Pure bliss.

When I finally came back down to earth, Boon hovered over me, his chin slick as he smirked down at me.

I wasn’t sure I could perform any kind of fantasy for him right now. I wasn’t sure I could even blink. My body had melted. Bones were gone and in their place was liquid. My mind was hazy, and words were laughable.

Boon leaned down, kissing me long and slow like he had all the time in the world all of a sudden.

When he lifted his head, I could at least blink again.

Given a few more of those kisses, maybe I could give him what he wanted.

Take care of that massive erection that pressed against my hip bone.

Oh hey. I had bones again. Good. I was almost back to normal.

“Get some good sleep, lovebug. I’m coming over tomorrow night and I expect my schoolteacher fantasy.”

And then he was gone, out the same way he’d come in.

I stared up at my ceiling fan, still catching my breath. This more playful side of Boon was attractive. Intriguing. Fun, even. Maybe giving him something else to do with that talented mouth of his had ended the decades-long bullying. I’d simply given him something better to do with his mouth.
