12. Alex

Chapter twelve

Alex

T oday marks the day that Fiona is twenty weeks pregnant. Glancing at the clock, I call out, “Love, we need to get going or we’re going to be late.”

“Okay, okay. I’m ready," Fiona says as she walks into the kitchen. She’s wearing a long sleeve blue dress that hugs every curve she has on her luscious body. Pregnancy has done wonders to her body. My cock hardens as I’m drawn to her perfect breasts that have filled out even more, where they used to be the perfect handful. Now I can tell they would overflow my palms. But I’m not complaining. When it comes to Fiona, I’d worship any part of her body she would let me. When she moves, I notice the small swell of her stomach, and I can’t help but smile at it. It’s so crazy to think that my child is in there.

Part her.

Part me.

My feet move without me realizing it and I instinctively wrap my arms around her waist, pulling her into my chest and pressing my lips into the curve of her neck.

“Mmm…Alex. What are you doing?”

“What does it look like?” I mutter against her porcelain skin, kissing my way down her neck to her shoulders. My hands cup each of her breasts, as I lightly graze my fingertips over her nipples.

“Yes, they’re so sensitive.”

She arches her back, pushing her breasts deeper into my hands. The need to taste her, to worship her and show her… I need her as much as she needs me.

Dropping to my knees, I steady myself as I grip her thighs, then push her dress out of the way, and slip my fingers between her folds. “Fuck, love, you’re already so wet. Is all that for me?”

“Shit,” she hisses as I insert two fingers inside her, rubbing my them along her G-spot. She rides my hand as if it’s my cock. “Right there. Yes, Alex, I’m getting close.”

“That’s right, love. Ride my hand, take what you need from me.” Her pussy walls flutter against my fingers. I brush my thumb across her clit a few times.

When I remove my fingers, she lets out a whimper. “No…”

“Don’t worry, love. I want you to orgasm on my tongue.” With those words, I plunge my tongue into her core, fuck her with it. My thumb brushes against her clit a few more times before she bursts into my mouth. I lap up every single drop up.

Pulling away from her pussy, I look up at her and see her staring at me with a grin. I stand back up to my full height, to kiss her on the lips, allowing her to taste her sweet cum.

“I can’t believe we’re going to find out what the gender of our baby is today,” she chirps with a huge grin on her face as we head to the car.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve had Oliver over to get used to the idea of having a kid around and Fiona has taken to him perfectly. She’s so gentle with him, setting boundaries but allowing him to play as he wants. I can’t help but wonder if my mom was like that when we were younger. Mateo and Dexter have told me stories, but I’ve lost all memories of her. But judging by how Fiona is with Oliver, I know she’s going to be a great mom, which makes me even more attracted to her.

“I can’t wait. What do you think it’s going to be?”

“I think it’s a boy. Probably going to be a ladies’ man, just like his daddy.” She grins at me, thinking she’s so funny.

“Well, not everyone can be so charming. But it’s a girl,” I tell her with a wink.

“Why do you think it’s a girl?”

I shrug my shoulders. “Because I want her to look just as beautiful as her mama.”

She giggles as she leans over the console, giving me a chaste kiss on the cheek. My cock hardens at the simple touch. Shit, it’s been too long since I’ve touched her, and my fingers are itching too.

“You’re such a charmer, Alex Hernandez.” Is it me, or did that sound breathier than before? And that soft smile she always seems to reserve for me. Maybe she’s feeling the same as me.

She probably thinks I’m joking, but I’m not. I really do hope that the baby comes out looking just like her. Why wouldn’t I? Neither of us talks much after that, just listening to the radio as we both contemplate what our future will look like.

When we pull into the doctor’s office, my nerves kick in. Moments like this make the pregnancy more real. My hands tremble as I go to grab Fiona’s. Touching her helps ground me. She must feel how nervous I am, because she squeezes my hand, giving me her support, making me think that maybe she’s just as nervous.

We’re called in quickly after we arrive, thankfully not giving me much time to dwell on the fact that we’re going to see our baby again. We haven’t seen them since we found out she was pregnant. Pacing the room, I try to keep my nerves at bay as Fiona changes out of her dress and into a gown to allow the ultrasound tech easy access. When she lies back, she smiles at me, probably trying to reassure herself as much as me. The need to feel her again and let her know that I’m here, too, threatens to overwhelm me, so I reach out and grip her hand once again.

“Ooh, that’s cold,” Fiona remarks bringing me out of my thoughts as the tech squeezes some weird goo onto her belly, then placing the wand over it.

“Let’s see if we can see your baby,” she says with a smile as she inspects the screen.

“Ahh, there’s the baby.” She points to a tiny baby, what looks like surrounded by static.

I release a breath that was caught in my chest. My heart swells, knowing that I’m already in love with that human growing inside Fiona. Squinting my eyes, I stand up and inspect the screen closer.

“That’s our baby.” I whisper into the quiet room.

“The baby has your nose," Fiona states as the tech takes measurements for the doctor.

“Okay mom and dad are you ready to know the gender?”

We both look at each other, then back at the tech. “Yes,” we say in unison.

The room is silent except for our breaths as we wait on pins and needles, for the tech to say anything else.

“Congratulations, it’s a girl. A healthy baby girl.”

I pump my arm into the air. “I knew it.” Then I lean down and do what feels right, giving her a small, chaste kiss on the lips. “She’s going to be as beautiful as her mother,” I whisper against her lips as I pull away.

Fiona gives me a shy smile but then quickly announces, as the tech cleans the goop off her stomach, “I can’t wait to plan the nursery.”

Shortly after, she gets back into her dress, looking at me while straightening it. She checks phone and pulls her brows in as she reads something on it.

“What’s wrong?” I ask her.

“Hazel and Cecilia want to throw me a baby shower. She wants us to start a registry.”

I take a deep breath, then let out a sigh. “That’s it? The way your face looked, I thought it was something worse.”

“Well, this isn’t good,” she sasses back at me.

“What do you mean?”

“It’s just weird to have people who want to do something for me just because.” she explains as we leave the doctor’s office.

“Ah, I see.” I grab her waist, stopping her from moving any further. Then I look deep into her eyes, so she can see how serious I am with my next words. “I know it’s hard to understand how people can care about you when you’ve been told for so long that you’re not worth it. But you are. You are everything, and they just want to show you how much you’re worth it. Why don’t we go grab lunch and then head to the department store to start a registry?”

She lets out a sigh. “Okay, that sounds good.”
