28. Chapter Twenty-Eight #2

“I remember walking into a blacksmith shop turned into a tavern. Did the hounds and I sit at our own table, and did I give them whiskey?” It was coming back to me slowly, and my chest got tight.

Justin giggled. “Yes. It didn’t seem to effect the hounds at all, but you ordered a bottle and poured a shot for yourself and then a shot for each of them and they lapped it up. Do you remember why you freaked out?”

I scanned my foggy, dehydrated brain and remembered Madame Stella saying the one name that would throw me off kilter: Hunter. As in, Hunter gives his blessing.

“Yeah, uh, I do remember why. It was when Stella said that Hunter gave his blessing for our relationship.”

Justin wrapped his arms around me and held me as the tears came yet again. “I’m so sorry, Clay. Who knows how she even knew about him or why she said it. I don’t think she meant to upset you.”

I pulled away and reached for a paper towel to dry my eyes.

“Well, I think my mind snapped because of everything that happened, but the idea that Hunter would give his blessing blindsided me. I had a dream about him when we first met. It was a discussion with Hunter where he told me there was someone coming into my life who I needed to let in. He said they’d be important to me and I needed to give them a chance.

He said they’d need my love more than he did.

I now believe he was talking about you.”

“He said my name specifically?” Justin seemed surprised.

“Hell, I wrote it off as a dream at the time, but now I think it really happened. He didn’t say your name, but I know he meant you.

It just took time for me to wrap my head around it, but I really do think he talked to me that day that I found you in Willow Creek Cemetery.

” In my heart and in my mind, I knew it to be true.

“That’s incredible. Are you okay with that?”

I thought about it for a minute and smiled. “I am. More than okay. It feels like he’s happy for me.” My heart felt lighter than it had since I’d lost Hunter.

“Good. I’m glad. Since you don’t have a lot going on at the moment, let’s eat and go to Kansas City to get my stuff.

My apartment was furnished, so it’s just my personal things and my car.

I’ll go talk to Steve and see what we can work out with your portfolio.

If he won’t release it, would you mind having Eve take it over? ”

I hoped Steve wouldn’t be the huge asshole I’d known him to be when I was with Hunter. I was under the impression he didn’t want my work because he pawned it off on Justin immediately, so maybe it wouldn’t matter to him. My portfolio was a hell of a lot smaller than Steve’s other clients.

“Okay. Let me call Mama and let her know what’s going on.”

I went back to the bedroom to grab my phone off the charger, pulling up Mom’s contact information and hitting the little phone icon.

“Hello, Clay. You must have been exhausted, son. That was a quick turnaround,” Mom said. Yeah, no shit.

“Yeah, it was. Justin’s business went faster than he anticipated, but we have some things we want to do, so it was best to come home last night.

We’re glad to have it behind us. So, Justin’s agreed to move out here with me.

We’re going to Kansas City to pick up his things and bust his lease.

He’s going to meet with Steve about our portfolio, too.

I’m hoping Justin will just take it with him when he leaves Korr Financial, but we’ll see. ”

“Oh, Clay, I’m so happy to hear that. I know there are a lot of folks in the area who would love to have financial advice. Maybe he could do some bookkeeping, too.” Mom sounded very excited at the news, which didn’t surprise me at all.

“Yes, he’ll figure out what to do, no doubt. I wondered if you wanted us to take anymore pottery to The Artist’s Corner, or do I need to pick anything up for you from that big art store?”

“Oh! Yes. I’ll send you a list. When are you going?”

“Later today. We’ll spend the night there and be back tomorrow.” And then our life would begin.

“Okay, honey. I’ll send the list later.”

“Thanks, Mama. Love you.” I hung up and went back to the kitchen, excited for our upcoming whirlwind trip that would be in a vehicle this time instead of whatever crazy supernatural travel plan we had getting to New Orleans.

I went back to the kitchen and enjoyed the wonderful breakfast my guy made. Once we finished, I cleaned up the kitchen and went back to the bedroom to get ready to go. Justin was standing at the end of the bed in a towel rummaging through his suitcase. “What do you need?”

“To do laundry. I’ve got clean stuff at my apartment. I’ll be fine.”

I walked to the dresser—where I’d need to free up some drawer space for Justin—and opened my underwear drawer. I reached in and grabbed a pair of my boxer briefs and held them up. “What’s mine is yours, darlin’.”

I stepped in front of him and knelt down. “Step in.” I held them at his feet, and when he stepped into the leg holes I tugged on the towed with my teeth and let it fall to the floor.

“What are you doing, Mr. Fines?”

“I fucked up our chance to have celebratory fun last night by getting drunk, so I’m not going to let the whole day go by without worshiping you.” I stuck out my tongue and licked his hardening cock before taking it to the hilt in one slick move.

“Oh, god,” Justin moaned before his hands landed in my short hair. I shimmied the underwear up to his knees before my hands landed on his ass cheeks. I was too far away from the nightstand to secure the lube, so spit was going to have to work.

I held up my index and middle fingers on my left hand and pulled off his hard cock. “Suck.”

His lips covered my fingers, and my cock was painfully pressing against my jeans, but this was about Justin, not me. I could wait until later that night for some relief.

I removed my fingers from his mouth and immediately moved them to his asshole. I knew that a couple of fingers in his ass gave him a hell of an orgasm, and since he’d taken care of me in my drunken stupor the previous night, I owed him a generous thank you.

A few minutes later, Justin gasped. “Clay, I’m about to...” I pushed my fingers inside him slowly and tickled his prostate until he pulsed on my tongue. I gulped down everything he gave me and when I popped off, I stood and shared his load in a filthy kiss.

God, life with Justin Watkins was going to be wonderful.
