22.
Zayran gets up from the couch, rubbing his face slowly. His hair is messy, falling over his forehead in careless strands and his eyes are puffy from sleep.
He lifts his eyes and looks towards her. She is still sleeping, holding a pillow tightly against her chest. She lies on the bed like she owns it. Which she actually does.
His eyes fix on her face and stay there. He does not blink. He does not move. He just watches her.
The dim light of the room falls over his sharp features, creating shadows that make him look more unreal, more dangerous, more untouchable. His tattoos peek out from under his vest, the dark ink stretching over his skin, adding to his terrifying presence.
Yet right now, there is a strange calm in his eyes as he looks at her.
He gets up from the couch and starts moving towards the washroom. His body still heavy with sleep. But he stops suddenly when he hears her voice.
“I’ll leave him soon… I promise, Baba” she says in her sleep. Her voice is soft and broken, almost like a whisper carried by pain.
He turns his head and looks at her. His eyes narrow slightly as he watches her mumbling those words unconsciously, her brows slightly furrowed even in sleep, as if she is fighting a battle even in her dreams.
He does not say anything. A slow smirk forms on his lips. It is not a happy smirk. It is dark. Possessive. Dangerous.
He turns and enters the washroom. He stands under the shower, letting the cold water fall over his body. The water runs down his face, over his closed eyes, over his scars, over his tattoos. He closes his eyes tightly, his jaw clenching.
“Anil Tiwari… you’ll beg me to leave your daughter. But I won’t. Because you tried to mess with Zayran Kaalver” he whispers under his breath. His voice is low. Deadly. Filled with promise and warning.
His eyes open slowly and they are no longer calm. They are dark. Filled with something dangerous. Something unforgiving.
He walks out of the shower after some time, water droplets still clinging to his skin. He dries himself. He wears his black pants, then his black shirt, buttoning it up one by one. After that, he puts on his coat, adjusting it perfectly over his broad shoulders.
He stands in front of the mirror, staring at his own reflection. He lifts his hand and sets his hair, pushing the messy strands back into place.
But then his eyes fall on the sindur box. His hand freezes mid-air. His eyes stay on it.
He does not want to admit it but somewhere his heart melts just a tiny bit whenever he sees sindur in the partition of her hair.
The bright red color sitting there, carrying his name, his claim, does something to him. Something he refuses to accept. Something he refuses to understand.
He hates her. That is what he tells himself. That is what he believes. But the entire closet filled with her clothes and her items says something else.
Her suits are neatly arranged. Her presence exists in every corner of that space. It makes the closet feel different. It makes it feel occupied. Claimed.
And what he secretly likes… what he never admits even to himself… is that she does not use anything except for a few suits and night dresses. No makeup products. Nothing else is touched.
As if she is refusing his offerings. As if she is refusing him. His jaw tightens slightly at that thought.
He walks out of the closet, fully ready now. His eyes fall on her again. She is still sleeping.
Her chest rises and falls slowly with each breath. Her face is peaceful, unaware of the storm standing just a few steps away from her.
He looks at her for a moment longer. Then he turns and walks inside the balcony, dialing Grover’s number. He lifts the phone to his ear.
On the bed, Sita wakes up slowly. She stretches her body a little, her muscles stiff from sleep. She sits up on the bed, her eyes still closed. She is still half asleep, her mind not fully awake yet.
But suddenly, her eyes widen. The sharp sound of something breaking echoes in the silent room. Her heart jumps in her chest. She quickly turns her head towards the balcony and sees him standing there.
His tall figure stands like a dark shadow against the morning light. Her eyes fall on the ground. His phone is lying there. Broken.
She stares at the broken phone for a moment. Then she slowly lifts her eyes and looks at him. He is lighting a cigarette.
He brings it to his lips and takes a slow puff, inhaling deeply. Smoke fills his lungs and then he exhales it slowly into the air, his face calm but terrifying.
She instantly closes her mouth. “Subha subha saste nashe chalu” She mumbles to herself as she gets up from the bed.
(Cheap intoxication has started early in the morning)
He turns around suddenly and walks inside the room. Their eyes meet. Her body freezes. She gulps, her throat going dry because of fear. His eyes are locked on hers.
And the way he is looking at her… it makes her heart pound inside her chest.
“Commissioner is trying to kill me” he says, taking another slow puff of his cigarette.
The words hit her ears and instantly her eyes shine. A wide smile spreads across her face before she can stop it.
But her smile dies the very next second when she sees his face. His expression is not normal. It is calm. Too calm.
He raises his brow slightly and starts walking towards her. His steps are slow and heavy, each step making her heart beat faster. He pokes the inside of his cheek with his tongue.
She immediately looks down. Her throat goes dry. She gulps in fear, her fingers curling slightly at her sides.
“I think his son is deeply in love with you” he says. His voice is low.
She grits her teeth instantly. Anger flashes across her face. He notices it. And now, he smiles. It is not a normal smile. It is a provoking smile. He is enjoying her reaction.
She looks at the ground.
“Commissioner will kill me and then will take you away from me and marry his son to you. Interesting, right?” he says.
His voice carries mockery. He starts walking around her slowly, like a predator circling his prey. His eyes never leave her face, watching every small reaction, every flicker of emotion.
He stops in front of her. Very close. Too close. He takes another puff of his cigarette. Smoke leaves his lips slowly, spreading between them. He slides one hand inside his pocket.
She coughs suddenly, covering her mouth with her hand as the smoke reaches her lungs. He watches her.
Then he takes one last puff and throws the cigarette away carelessly.
“You both will look perfect together” he says. Now she looks up from the ground. A smile appears on her face. A calm smile.
She knows he is trying to provoke her.
She folds her hands across her chest and takes a step towards him, closing the distance between them. Her chin lifts slightly, her eyes meeting his without fear now.
“Yes, we will look perfect together. But in front of you and Liyara, we both are nothing” she admits with a smile on her face.
Hearing this, he smirks. The smirk grows slowly, proudly. Anyone can tell how proud he is right now. Pride shines in his eyes. Satisfaction. Bipolar proud bitch.
“Be safe, mister” she says. Her voice is soft but her eyes stay on him for a second longer.
Then she turns and walks towards the washroom, a small smile still playing on her lips.
He stands there, unmoving. His tongue slides over his lower teeth slowly. His eyes remain fixed on her retreating figure.
After a moment, he turns and starts walking towards his home office.
“Boss” Grover walks inside the office, his voice low. His face looks tired. Fear is visible in his eyes and his hands feel cold as he steps further inside the room.
Zayran sits on his chair behind the large desk. He opens his laptop, his fingers moving calmly over it.
“Yes, Grover?” Zayran asks without looking at him.
“Last night… our two warehouses blasted” Grover says, his voice shaking slightly. He gulps hard again.
Those warehouses had items worth more than crores of rupees. Years of work. Power. Money. Everything gone in seconds.
Zayran’s fingers stop moving. He slowly looks up from the laptop screen. His face turns blank.
For a moment, there is no emotion. No anger. No shock. Nothing. Then he leans back in his chair slowly, his body relaxing against it.
“Who did this?” Zayran asks, closing his eyes. His voice is quiet.
Grover gulps hard again, fear crawling under his skin seeing his boss’s reaction.
“I… I'm not able to find out. But I think it’s Raze. Everyone is saying it’s Raze” Grover says carefully.
A slow smirk appears on Zayran’s face.
“It was me, Grover… who planted the bombs in the warehouses” Zayran says.
Grover’s eyes widen instantly. Shock freezes his entire body. “Y… you?” Grover asks, his voice breaking.
His mind refuses to believe what he just heard. Fear and confusion mix inside him as he stares at his boss.
“Let everyone know that Raze planted the bombs. And also tell everyone that I am scared of Raze. A lot” Zayran says.
His tone is normal. But behind that calm face, something dangerous is moving. Something dark. Something no one can see.
Grover nods immediately. “O… okay, boss” Grover says.
He does not dare ask anything else. He turns around quickly and walks out of the room.
The office becomes silent again.
“I’m dying to meet you, Raze” Zayran says. His eyes stay fixed on the laptop screen. His lips curl into a faint, dangerous smile.
“Leave me… someone will come” Tara says softly, trying to come out of Grover’s arms.
Her hands press lightly against his chest but there is no real strength in them. Her voice carries nervousness, and her eyes move around the place, afraid that someone might see them like this.
Grover does not move. “None will come” he says. His voice is calm and sure.
He raises his hand and gently caresses her head, his fingers moving slowly through her hair. His eyes stay on her face, admiring her like she is something precious.
Tara lowers her eyes immediately. “I have work to do” she says quietly.
Her eyes remain fixed on his chest. She is too shy to meet his gaze. Her cheeks feel warm.
“Go… but first give me that” Grover demands.
His voice turns soft and playful. Tara bites her lower lip slowly, her fingers curling slightly. Her face turns red and her breathing becomes uneven.
“Not here” Tara speaks, her voice barely above a whisper. Her cheeks are flushed deeply now and she looks even more shy.
“You said the same thing yesterday and didn’t give me one” Grover complains, pouting like a child.
His expression turns innocent and demanding at the same time. Tara chuckles softly hearing him.
“Close your eyes” she says slowly. Her voice is soft. She looks around quickly, making sure no one is there.
Grover closes his eyes immediately. His heart starts beating faster as he waits. His body stands still, his mind focused only on her.
Tara leans towards him slowly. She moves close to his cheek and places her lips lightly on his skin. The kiss is soft. Innocent. Warm.
Then she quickly pulls back, her heart racing wildly.bGrover stands there like a statue. His body does not move. His eyes remain closed for a second longer as he melts under her soft kiss.
A small smile forms on his lips, filled with happiness.
“Grover” Zayran’s voice breaks their moment. Grover opens his eyes immediately.
“I’m going” Grover says softly. He leans forward and kisses Tara’s forehead gently, his lips lingering there for a moment before he moves away from her.
Tara stands there, A shy smile rests on her lips. Her cheeks are red. Her heart is still beating fast.
“Tara… they kicked me out of the job” I say softly, playing with my fingers.
My head rests on her lap and she gently caresses my hair. Her fingers move slowly and comfortingly, trying to calm the storm inside me. But nothing feels calm. My chest feels heavy.
“Tell jiju. He’ll surely find a job for you” she says, giving me a mischievous smile.
I glare at her immediately, my brows furrowing in annoyance. “Jiju ke gun gana band kar de, Tara. Aur waise bhi if I tell him about this, he’ll make sure I don’t get a job anywhere” I say honestly, remembering the way he mocked me in the morning and enjoyed my condition.
(Stop singing praises of your brother-in-law, Tara)
Silence falls between us for a few seconds.
“You’ll not go to meet your parents?” she asks softly after a moment.
I turn my head slightly and look out towards the balcony. I don’t know what to say.
“I don’t know, Tara. I don’t have the courage to meet him… and I’ll meet them after leaving him” I say honestly.
The words leave my mouth slowly but they carry truth. She looks at me in shock, her fingers stopping in my hair.
“You’ll leave him?” she asks slowly, her eyes searching my face. I lift my head from her lap and sit in front of her.
“Yes. I’ll leave him soon” I say honestly. She nods her head slowly, still processing my words.
But I am unaware that someone standing outside the door hears everything.
“Ask Shaurya sir to help you” she says after a moment.
I nod my head slowly. She is right. He will surely help me. He is kind. He listens. He understands.
Before I can say anything else, I hear a sound.
Knock. Knock. I turn my head towards the door. The door opens and I see Shaurya, Yuv, Om and Ishi standing there. They look at me. I quickly straighten my posture.
“I’m going” Tara says softly. She gets up from beside me and walks out of the room, giving me a small reassuring look before leaving.
They all walk inside.
“Bhabhi!” they all say together, grinning widely. Their voices come at the same time, full of excitement and mischief. My heart skips slightly hearing them like this. I gulp slowly and move back on the bed.
I know this look of theirs. This look always means trouble.
“What?” I ask slowly. They grin even harder, exchanging looks with each other like they are planning something dangerous for me.
“Let’s go eat out with us” they say together. Their voices are full of excitement. I immediately shake my head.
“I’ll not” I say firmly. They instantly make innocent faces, their lips forming fake sad expressions, their eyes trying to emotionally blackmail me.
Sita, pull your do something or else they’ll take you with them, my subconscious warns me.
I take a small breath. “You know what happened today” I say slowly.
They all immediately sit down on the bed around me, their full attention on me now.
“What?” Om asks excitedly. His eyes shine with curiosity, and he leans forward eagerly.
“I was sleeping on the bed and your brother was lying on the couch. I…” I start speaking but Yuv suddenly cuts me off.
“You made bhai sleep on the couch?” he says, covering his mouth in disbelief. His eyes widen dramatically and his expression turns completely shocked.
“Dekha, dekha, maine kaha tha na bhai pyar me pagal hai bhabhi ke!” Om says, standing on the bed in excitement.
(See, see, I told you, brother is madly in love with bhabhi!)
My eyes widen in shock hearing him.
Kya in logon ko pagal kutte ne kata hai? My mind screams in disbelief.
(Have these people been bitten by a mad dog?)
But then my subconscious reminds me. Par tum to room se bahar gai hi nahi subha se. I nod my head slightly, agreeing.
(But you didn’t even leave the room since morning)
“You know bhabhi, brother never sleeps anywhere except his own bed” Ishi says, holding my hand tightly.
She gives me a mischievous smile, her eyes teasing me openly. My heart starts beating faster under their intense teasing.
“Hehe… guys, it’s nothing like what you all are thinking” I say, smiling nervously at them. They all give me side-eyes immediately. Their expressions clearly say they don’t believe me at all.
“Waise bhai aaj kal kuch zyada hi khush lag rahe hai,m” Shaurya says, looking at me carefully.
(By the way, brother seems very happy these days)
His lips curve into a teasing smile and his eyes watch my reaction closely. I chuckle softly hearing him.
“Itni acchi biwi milegi to insaan khush hi rahega na” I say and flip my hair dramatically.
(If someone gets such a good wife, of course he will stay happy)
As soon as the words leave my mouth, they all freeze. They look at me with wide eyes and open mouths. Their expressions are full of shock and disbelief, like they cannot believe what I just said.
“Baat to sahi hai” they all say together.
(That’s true)
Hearing them agree, heat rushes to my cheeks. I quickly hide my face in my hands, feeling shy. Sharma jati hu mai.
(I feel shy)
“Waise aap apni in cute cute harkaton se sab ko bewakoof bana deti ho” Yuv says.
(By the way, you fool everyone with your cute actions)
The others nod their heads in agreement. Jaise abhi tum logo ko banaya bahar na jane ke liye, I think, smiling secretly.
“Bhai was telling us that he married you for revenge, but we don’t believe it” Shaurya says. My smile fades slightly and I blink my eyes.
“Because he is behaving totally different with you” Ishi says softly. I blink again, not understanding their words fully.
“Bhai didn’t want to get married. He rejected many girls but…” Om starts speaking. I cut him off before he can finish.
“He has a fiancée, right?” I ask. This question has been eating me from inside for the past four days. I need to know the truth.
They all immediately shake their heads. “No. Liyara is not his fiancée” Shaurya says seriously.
“Sare ghar walo ko Liyara pasand hai aur Liyara ko hamara bhai. But bhai ne saaf saaf bol diya ke wo shaadi nahi karege. But still everyone was behind him and that Liyara too. And she gave herself the title of his fiancée” Shaurya explains calmly.
(The whole family likes Liyara and Liyara likes our brother. But brother clearly said he will not marry her. Still, everyone kept forcing him and Liyara too. And she gave herself the title of his fiancée)
I nod my head slowly. Now I understand. Now I understand why he behaves like that with her. Why there is distance..
“Liyara and Laksh bhai are siblings?” I ask slowly.
They all shake their heads. “No, they are step brother and sister” Ishi says softly.
My eyes widen slightly hearing this. Another truth. Another secret. It feels like every time I breathe, I learn something new. Something unexpected.
“Why are you all scared of his gun?” I ask slowly. This is the most important question of my life.
They chuckle hearing me. Om and Yuv immediately lie down comfortably on the bed like a movie is about to start.
Shaurya looks at me seriously. “Once Laksh was irritating bhai and without thinking, bhai shot his leg” Shaurya says calmly. My body stiffens hearing this.
“That’s why we are scared of his gun. Because jab wo apne best friend ko goli maar sakte hai, to kisi ko bhi maar sakte hai” Shaurya continues.
(Because if he can shoot his own best friend, then he can shoot anyone)
I nod my head slowly. My throat feels dry. Fear crawls slowly inside my chest. Sita, bach kar rehna.
(Sita, stay careful)
“Why… why is he distant from everyone in the family?” I ask slowly. My voice comes out softer this time.
They all look at me with blank faces for a second. Silence fills the room. Their expressions change slightly, turning serious.
“Bhai was weak in studies” Yuv says.
“He used to run away from school from the beginning and didn’t focus on his studies. He started gambling and illegal work at a young age. And because of it, dad threw bhai out of the house” Yuv continues.
I look at him, confused. Not convinced. Somewhere deep inside my heart, something feels wrong. Something feels incomplete.
“Dad, chachu and dadu tried their best to bring bhai into the business but bhai chose this path” Om says quietly. “And because of this, he is like that”
I sit there silently, listening to them. My mind fills with questions. My heart fills with confusion. I don’t know how to react.
“Then why does he come back here?” I ask slowly. My voice carries confusion. Shaurya chuckles slowly hearing my question.
“It’s his mansion not ours” he says calmly. My eyes widen slightly. His mansion?
“Few years ago, our mansion burned down and we all moved here” Ishi says softly.
I nod my head slowly. My mind feels heavy. My head starts spinning slightly. Everything I knew about him feels incomplete now.
He is not the way he shows himself to others. There is something deeper. Something hidden.
“But I don’t think they threw bhai out of the house because of studies” Yuv says seriously. I look at him immediately.
“Because he is really sharp-minded. And I think there is something else which our parents didn’t tell us till now” he continues.
They all nod their heads, agreeing with him. Their faces turn serious. Their eyes show that even they don’t know the full truth.
“Why do you all care for him so much?” I ask slowly. They chuckle hearing my question.
“You’ll know him soon” Om says softly, smiling genuinely. “And you’ll start caring for him more than us” His words make my heart feel strange. I don’t know why.
I smile back at him.
They all sit with me for more than an hour, talking about random things. Their presence makes the room feel lighter. For a moment, I forget everything. Then slowly, one by one, they stand up and walk out of the room.
I lie down on the bed and take a deep breath. My chest rises and falls slowly.
“Kanha… what is happening?” I whisper softly, closing my eyes.
But before my mind can calm down, my phone suddenly rings. My eyes open immediately. I pick up the phone and sit up on the bed.
“Hello” I say softly.
“Dii, baba wants to meet you. Come home” Anu says from the other side. My body freezes. I sit there blankly for a moment. My fingers tighten slightly around the phone.
“I’m coming” I say quietly. I cut the call slowly. Sita, you have to face him one day. Why not today?
My heart starts beating faster. Fear and courage fight inside me at the same time.
I take a deep breath and get up from the bed. My legs feel slightly weak but I force myself to move forward. I walk towards the closet to change my clothes.
But I stop. The door opens. He enters inside the room after knocking.
Should I tell him? The thought comes into my mind as I stare at him. He stands there, looking at me. His eyes lock with mine. His gaze feels strange today.
His eyes are saying something... something I cannot understand.
“Let’s go. I’ll drop you” he says calmly. My eyes widen slightly hearing him.
How does he know? Kahin camera to nahi laga rakha hai room me. Fear runs through my body for a second.
(Has he installed cameras in the room?)
“Your baba called me” he says. My eyes widen even more. Confusion takes over my entire mind. Why did baba call him? My thoughts start running in every direction.
“I’m waiting” he says. He turns and walks out of the room without waiting for my answer. I stand there frozen for a moment. What is happeninggggg.
I quickly walk to the closet and change my dress immediately.
After changing, I walk out of the room. He is standing outside, leaning on the railing casually.
I start walking forward slowly. He starts walking behind me.
I walk downstairs and my eyes immediately fall on the living room. The entire family is sitting there. I lower my gaze and continue walking towards the main door. I don’t want to face anyone right now. I just want to leave.
But suddenly, I stop. Liyara enters inside the mansion in anger. Her footsteps are loud. Her face is filled with rage. Her eyes burn with fury.
I don’t stop. I continue walking towards the door.
But suddenly, she grabs my hand tightly. Her grip is strong. She stops me.
I immediately pull my hand back. “What?” I ask. My voice is calm but confused.
“What?! you are asking me what? After marrying him?” she shouts at me. Her voice echoes in the hall.
“Liyara beta…” his dadi says softly and walks towards her, holding her hand gently. Her voice is full of fear, trying to calm her down.
“Don’t stop me, anyone” Liyara shouts angrily.
“I know very well how this kind of girls are” she says, looking directly at me with hatred. I tilt my head slightly.
She is brainless, no doubt. Her words don’t hurt me. They only disgust me.
“You are a gold digger” she spits. “You married him just for money. What can I expect from a whore like you? Leave him or else I’ll...” Before she can complete her sentence, I lift my hand. And slap her hard.
The sound echoes loudly. Everything becomes silent. Her face jerks to the other side from the force. Her hair moves with the impact. Her eyes widen in shock. She wasn’t expecting this. No one was expecting this. Expect one.
“How dare you!” his dadi shouts at me, holding Liyara protectively. Her voice is filled with anger. But I don’t look at her. I only glare at Liyara.
I am not someone she can insult and walk away. I have self-respect.
“You bitch...” Liyara screams in rage. She raises her hand to hit me. But before her hand can reach me....A gunshot fires.
The loud sound fills the entire mansion. My eyes shut immediately because of the sudden noise. My heart jumps in fear. My ears ring.
Then I hear a painful groan. I slowly open my eyes. Liyara is on the ground. Her hand is bleeding. Blood slowly drips from her arm. My breathing stops. My body freezes.
“Zayran!” his father shouts loudly. My eyes widen even more. My heart starts beating violently.
I slowly turn my head back. He is standing there. His face is calm. He slowly places the gun behind his back.
H…he shot her hand. My mind refuses to accept what I just saw. My body stands frozen. I cannot move.
“Let’s go” he says. His voice is calm, like nothing happened. He holds my sleeve firmly. And drags me out of the mansion. I walk beside him. Still unable to understand anything.
I can hear her crying behind me. Her sobs echo in the air. I can also hear hurried voices. Everyone is panicking. But my entire focus is on this man. Only him.
We sit inside the car. The door closes. My hands feel cold. My heart is still beating fast from everything that just happened. My eyes don’t leave him for even a second.
He starts the car calmly. Like he didn’t just shoot someone.
“Ayse na dekhiye, pyar ho jaye ga aapko humse” he says casually while starting the car.
(Don’t look at me like this, you will fall in love with me)
I immediately turn my head towards the other side. My heart skips a beat hearing his words.
“Sita, sambhal kar. Kahi agla number aapka na ho” my subconscious warns me.
(Sita, be careful. What if you are next?)
I gulp hard. Now I know why everyone is scared of his gun. My fingers tighten slightly on my dress.
Did he shoot her because she was going to hit me? This single thought makes my heart race at full speed. My chest rises and falls faster.
“Why did you shoot her?” I finally ask. My voice is soft but clear. Because until I ask, my heart won’t stay calm.
He stays focused on driving. His eyes remain on the road. His face shows nothing.
“I was checking my gun and her hand came in between” he says calmly. I immediately turn my head and look at him in disbelief.
Does he really think I am that stupid? “Koi aur nahi mila subah se bewakoof banane ke liye” I mumble quietly, looking at the front.
(Didn’t you find anyone else since morning to fool?)
“Aapko koi bewakoof nahi bana sakta” he says instantly.
(No one can fool you)
I try to control my proud smile. My lips press together slightly. Dimag hai bande ke paas.
(He has a brain)
I flip my hair slightly and cross my arms on my chest. Trying to act normal.
“Tu pahle se hai is silent” my subconscious says.
(You are already, is silent)
I roll my eyes slightly and look outside the window. My subconscious is lying. I know.
“Look at his smirk” my subconscious says.
I turn my head. And h…he is smirking. My jaw tightens. I grit my teeth slightly. He thinks I am a fool.
“Shant sakhi shant, kabhi kabhi sach chubhta hai” Kanha says.
(Calm down, sometimes the truth hurts)
I pout slowly. Sare ke sare dushman hai yaha mere.
(Everyone here is my enemy)
I turn my head towards him slightly. And… okay, I admit it. He is handsome. His sharp jaw. His calm face. His focused eyes. Everything about him feels unreal.
And I don’t know why I feel like he shot her hand because she raised her hand at me. This thought makes something warm spread inside my chest. And I admit it. I am crazy to find this so good.
Because he literally shot her hand. My heart beats faster. Wait…Is he secretly in love with me?
Agar hai to is bechare ki kya galti. Ab mai hu hi aysi ki pyar me pagal ho jate hai log mere.
(If he is, then it’s not his fault. I am someone people go crazy in love with)
I smile slightly at my own thoughts. Suddenly...“Ahhh!” I shriek as the car stops with a sudden jerk. My body moves forward and I almost hit my head on the glass. My heart jumps in shock.
I quickly turn my head towards him. His face shows nothing. But I know. I know very well. He is smiling inside his head. Darinda kahi ka.
He starts the car again calmly. Like nothing happened. I turn my head and look outside the window again. Trying to calm my racing heart.
