Chapter 12 #3
with their dance. “We will scorch this earth we lay on—”
“And rise again,” she panted.
“And again.” Aleksi pushed hard and deep as
she moaned. “And again,” he ground out as she lifted her legs and
wrapped them around his back, meeting him thrust for thrust, her
inner muscles gripping and caressing his cock until, with one last
deep thrust, he shuddered and broke, calling her name to the
heavens.
He fell back to earth a boneless, bodiless,
raw nerve, collapsing on her, still cradled inside her. When he
could think again, he rolled off and wrapped his arm around her,
pulling her to his side.
When he could speak again, he nuzzled her
ear. “I knew it would be this way between us.”
She turned in his arms and pushed the lock of
hair from his forehead. “I didn’t know it could be this way between
a man and a woman,” she said, her voice thick with smoke.
He wiped the fine sheen of sweat from her
cheeks and kissed the tip of her nose. “Only between a lucky few,”
he told her.
Yet, he wasn’t feeling lucky. She may be his
match physically, mentally, and sexually, but she was still a
princess and he a bastard. She would never be his, only his, for
any longer than tonight. Tomorrow they would try to rescue Lasair,
and capture Yago and Taweel, which likely meant a fight where
anything could happen. But tonight she was his, and he was hers,
and he would make sure they made the most of it.
He ran his hands through the wild tangle of
her thick, curling mane and kissed her long, slow, and tender,
tasting her essence of smoke and honey. He kissed and nipped and
suckled his way from her delicious mouth to her throat, her
luscious breasts, soft and heavy in his palms. He explored her
body, worshiping every sleek muscle and round curve with his mouth,
his hands, pressing his skin to hers, tangling and untangling
limbs, pressing and rubbing, kissing and suckling. He claimed her
body as she claimed his, each branding the other, belonging only to
each other and this night.
Sahar woke in the graying dawn to the
deliciously tantalizing sensation of Aleksi’s big, warm hands
roaming over her body. Another deeper sensation began to simmer
between her legs, and she sighed with eager anticipation as he
plied his talented fingers to stoking her fire. In truth, he seemed
to know her body better than she did, but she was a quick learner,
and had absorbed many things during their night of love-making, a
few of which she fully intended to try again this morning.
Rolling over to face him, she placed her
hands on his shoulders and pushed him onto his back, straddling his
hips and earning a lusty grin in response. She bent over and kissed
him, tasting the salty maleness of him. She sucked in her breath as
his hands covered her breasts and his thumbs circled her nipples in
time with his tongue in her mouth until she was squirming on top of
him, rubbing herself up and down his hard heat as he moved beneath
her. He broke their kiss and grasped her by the waist and lifted
her up and held her poised over the tip of his cock. She moaned,
her muscles straining with the need to close the chasm between
them. He held her in his vise-like grip until her body begged for
more, and then he lowered her down over his rock-hard staff, slowly
and deliberately, groaning as she took all of him in.
They both stilled, and she reveled in the
fullness of him inside her as her inner muscles tightened and
rippled around him. Then he lifted her hips, but kept the head of
his cock still inside her, and pulled her down over him again and
again, faster, deeper, and harder until she was riding him at a
wild, delirious pace, racing with him to the edge and plunging over
the cliff together.
Her passions and her sweat cooled in the
brisk morning breeze as she climbed off him and snuggled her
backside into his encompassing heat, her breath slowing as he
wrapped his arms around her and pulled her tighter into his
embrace.
“You know,” he whispered into her ear, “we
could put off confronting Yago and Taweel another night.”
He nipped her neck and bumped his pelvis into
hers, and she hardened her resolve, if not her still smoldering
insides. “No,” she said, refusing to turn and look him in the eyes.
If she did, she would give into the promise of their unending
pleasures. “I cannot leave Lasair to their capricious mercy any
longer.”
“No,” he said, his voice distant, his arms
slackening their hold. “I don’t suppose you can.”
“Would you wait if they had Zolotoy?”
“No, I wouldn’t.”
She sighed, and turned and held his gaze.
“Aleksi, I…” She didn’t know what to say. “Thank you.”
“Thank you?” His brow quirked and his body
stiffened. “Thank you?”
“Yes,” she said. “Thank you for riding
downriver of Lasair, for saving Munir, for coming after me, saving
me from Yago and his curs. Thank you for helping me go after
Lasair—”
“For last night.”
“Yes,” she said, reaching up and pushing that
stubborn lock of hair back from his forehead, and smiling as it
fell down again. “Especially for last night, and this morning. I
will remember them always.”
