Former Flames Attend Film Fete
by Minnie Musgrave
Tinseltown was abuzz Monday night as stars gathered at the Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles, where award-winning director
Abe Sternberg shared more about his highly anticipated upcoming motion picture, Lady Bella Donna, set to film in a few months and releasing soon from Hendrix Productions. Sternberg is notoriously secretive about his projects
until an intimate pre-filming party, where he reveals his leads to exclusive members of the press before the public announcement
follows. Little is known about this project, although the gossip has been swirling: Many speculated that his leading lady
would be Ada Worthington-Fox, and indeed the rumors proved true. She is Lady Bella Donna herself alongside the male lead,
Vince Hart, in an as-yet-undisclosed role.
Yes, the Vince Hart. Our siren’s former beau.
Both have been disappointingly private about their previous romance and about what broke them up in 1944. Did the flame fizzle
out? Did another woman steal Miss Worthington-Fox’s fellow away? Did Mr. Hart’s lady find herself unwilling to be tied down?
And if you have those answers, give your old friend Minnie a call. Inquiring minds and all that.
No noticeable ill will came between the two at Mr. Sternberg’s party. As pictured, Miss Worthington-Fox gave a brief speech
while Mr. Hart stood by, then they posed for photographs with Mr. Sternberg and studio head Russell Hendrix. More to come
from these two as filming and press commence. Will their love rekindle, or will there be blood?
Mr. Sternberg was not available for comment, so we must impatiently await additional details. Whatever sort of film this will be, it’s bound to be a good one—assuming Mr. Sternberg keeps his Commie politics from painting the silver screen red.
