All red-blooded Americans can agree on one thing: There’s a different shade of red threatening to wash away our stars and

stripes. Communist influences are infiltrating everywhere, even our own entertainment industry: That’s where J. Edgar Hoover

and his G-men come in.

We can count on the FBI to defend American freedom and protect American values, and rumor has it that government agents have

been spotted around some of Hollywood’s hottest haunts—men in suits don’t exactly blend in around here. These men are dedicated

to protecting the entertainment industry from those seeking to insert damaging influences. What does this mean, my fellow

Americans? Well, I’ll tell you: Thanks to their efforts, we can go to the movies with a clear conscience.

Beginning May 9, Chairman Thomas himself will hold hearings at the Biltmore Hotel—closed to the public and disappointingly

hush-hush, but I hear these will mostly involve minor union members rather than our stars. Thomas has promised to keep us

members of the press updated, but if you have an inside connection, well, you know what to do. Tip line below, dolls.

As for the glitterati, none seem particularly bothered by the impending hearings or government agents on their turf. Bogey

and Bacall were spotted with a group of friends at the Formosa Café while other stars were recently caught engaging in far

less innocent practices.

On the set of Lady Bella Donna last November, the two leads were seen emerging from Miss Worthington-Fox’s dressing room.

Last November! Shame on all of you for keeping such a titillating tidbit from me until now.

What were Hollywood’s Hartthrob and his past love doing behind closed doors between takes?

According to my sources, by the looks of them, let’s just say if their on-screen chemistry sizzles, there might be a good explanation for it.
