Ohmigod. I swear hell has frozen over.
Raven:
What’s going on? You good?
Sloane:
I called Dad at 7 a.m., and he was still sleeping. (shocked face emoji)
Lizzy:
No way!
Lanie:
You sure? Dad’s up at the ass crack of dawn, every day that ends in “Y.”
Sloane:
No joke. I called because Ruby Frax is delayed in LA, and our sitter cancelled at the last minute. It was barely seven. Dad’s always up, so I didn’t worry about waking him.
Raven:
You could’ve called me.
Sloane:
Not the point, Rave. I swear, he was STILL IN BED!!! His voice was gruff, and he said he still needed to shower AND that it would take him nearly an hour to get here.
Lizzy:
Dad showers in 10 min, and you live like 5 min away?!?!?!
Sloane:
I KNOW! (head exploding emoji).
Raven:
Why would it take him an hour? (thinking emoji)
Lanie:
You sure he just isn’t busy?
Sloane:
He said he got a late start this morning. Clearly—he was in bed at 7 a.m.!!!

It’s nearly 8. Are you telling me he’s not there yet?
Sloane:
Nope. His location shows he’s still at home.
Lizzy:
I’m surprised his location is back on. Wasn’t he working for Riggs this week?
Sloane:
I got a notification he was home yesterday evening.
Lanie:
Stalker much?
Raven:
What goes around comes around. Think about all those times he threatened to track us as kids. Someone’s got to keep tabs on that man. He may be retired, but he’s always up to something.
Lanie:
He probably had trackers on us as some sort of government experiment—before it became a popular app feature. Even from half a world away, he always knew what we were up to.
Lizzy:
No kidding. I couldn’t get away with anything.
Sloane:
I blame Raven. She loved pushing the envelope.
Raven:
Just because I wasn’t a goody two-shoes like you, doesn’t mean I was up to something.
Lanie:
Yeah, right. (eye roll emoji)
Lizzy:
Do you hear yourself?
Sloane:
(arrows pointing up) Love you, Rave, but you were exactly the reason he tracked us all!
Lizzy:
As the youngest, I never stood a chance.
Lanie:
Fair point, Liz.
Raven:
I just got a notification that he left home.
Lanie:
You know he’d kick your ass if he knew you tracked his every move.
Raven:
I only set up notifications to see if he’s home. It’s not like the rest of you don’t have your app set up like that either (for any of us).
Lizzy:
Guilty as charged. (shrugging emoji)
Sloane:
Gotta run. My flight for NYC leaves in a few hours, and my boys are done eating breakfast.
Raven:

Sloane:
Will do. But I think Dad’s got it covered. Tell the girls I hope they have fun at dance this week!
