Chapter Six

Dominic

Three weeks have passed since I brought Donny into my home.

Tonight, though, I wanted the business to stay outside the gates.

I wanted to see my woman smile without a cloud of worry hanging over her head.

I traded the usual armored SUV for the drop-top Continental and the five-man security detail for a solo night out.

It was just her and me. No Taz, no shooters, just the hum of the engine and the scent of her perfume filling the cabin.

We hit up a tucked-away spot in Buckhead, a place where the wine cost more than a brick and the lighting was so low you could barely see your own hands.

Donny looked like a literal goddess in a silk slip dress the color of burnt orange, her ginger curls pinned back to show off that sharp jawline I'd spent too much time thinking about.

She was finally relaxing, her laughter sounding like music as we made our way through two bottles of the finest vintage they had in the cellar.

By the time the dessert plates were cleared, we were both feeling that warm, fuzzy buzz that makes the world feel a little softer and the chemistry feel a lot louder.

"You're looking at me like you wanna eat me, Dominic," Donny giggled, her words just a little slurred as she leaned across the table, her eyes sparkling with a mix of wine and mischief.

She reached out and traced the edge of my hand, her fingers light as a feather.

"You've been so sweet tonight. I almost forgot you kidnapped me. "

"Every good story starts out weird, baby," I murmured, my voice deep and thick with a desire I was struggling to keep under wraps.

The wine had me feeling loose, and my inhibitions lowered just enough to let the hunger show in my eyes.

"And you're right, I do wanna eat. You look so fucking good sitting over there.

I want to remember exactly how you look in this light, with that ring shining on your finger and that smile on your face.

You're beautiful, Donny, inside and out, and I'm the luckiest nigga on the planet because I get to be the one taking you home. "

Seeing how drawn to me she was in that moment, I paid the tab and led her out of the restaurant, her balance a little unsteady as she leaned into my side.

The night air was warm and thick, smelling of jasmine and rain, and the drive back to the estate was filled with low music and her soft singing.

By the time we pulled into the garage, the buzz had settled into a heavy, electric heat radiating between us.

I helped Donny out of the car, my hands lingering on her waist, and she didn't pull away.

Instead, she turned into my chest, wrapping her arms around my neck and looking up at me with a vulnerability that took my breath away.

"Dominic," she whispered, her breath smelling of expensive grapes and honey.

"I know what I said before, about being scared and being a virgin, but I trust you.

After these last few weeks, I've trusted you more than I've ever trusted anyone.

I want to feel something… I want to feel you," she slurred, letting the drinks consume her.

The air in the garage felt like it was on fire.

I picked Donny up, her legs wrapping around my waist instinctively, and carried her up to the primary suite.

I laid her down on the silk sheets, the orange of her dress clashing beautifully with the dark fabric, and I took my time just looking at her.

She was pure, all mine, and I was going to make sure her first real experience was something she'd never forget.

I started slowly, kissing my way down her neck, feeling her heart hammering against her ribs like a trapped bird.

"I told you I'd wait, and I meant that," I murmured, my voice a low rumble as I pulled the straps of her dress down.

"We ain't gotta go all the way right now, baby.

I just want to show you how much I appreciate you for doing this for me.

I want to show you what it feels like to cum on a rich nigga's tongue. "

I moved down her body, my hands worshiping every curve, every inch of her soft skin.

When I reached the hem of her dress, I looked up at Donny, making sure she was still with me, still wanting this.

She nodded, her eyes wide and clouded with a heat I'd never seen in her before.

I moved between her legs, my heart thudding in my ears as I realized the trust she was placing in me.

I was a man of violence, a man of the shadows, but in this moment, I was going to be as gentle as a prayer.

The first time my tongue touched her, Donny let out a sharp, surprised gasp, her fingers clutching at the silk sheets.

I didn't rush. I stayed steady, finding her rhythm and following it.

I wanted to hear every sound she made, to feel every shiver that ran through her body.

I wanted her to explode in my mouth, shake with ecstasy, and know that even though this wasn't the ideal situation, she was in good hands.

"Dominic… oh my god," she cooed, her head tossing back against the pillows as she found a pleasure she'd never known existed.

I let her find her way, my hands holding her hips steady while I worked to make sure she felt every bit of the devotion I had for her. I wanted her to know that her purity wasn't a burden to me; it was a gift, and I was going to treat it with the respect it deserved.

When she finally broke, her body arching and her voice calling my name in a way that made my soul hum, I stayed with her until the last shiver died down.

I crawled back up the bed and pulled her into my chest, her skin damp and her breathing ragged.

She tucked her head under my chin, her hand resting over my heart, which was still beating like a drum.

"You okay, baby?" I whispered, kissing the top of her head.

"I didn't know… I didn't know it could feel like that," Donny murmured, her voice thick with sleep and satisfaction. "You're so good to me, Dominic, even when you're being a menace."

"I'm only a menace to the world, Donny Rae," I replied, pulling the covers up over both of us. "To you, I'm just a man who loves you more than his own life. Go to sleep. I got you."

As I watched her drift off, the heavy ring on her finger catching the dim light of the bedside lamp, I realized my father was right.

She was the foundation and the peace, and I would burn every bridge in this city to make sure she stayed exactly where she was—in my arms, safe and loved.

The streets could have the menace; Donny Rae had the man.
