Chapter 35
I told her I loved her in front of everyone in the gym. I know I must have sounded off tone or off pitch, but I don't care. She needed to know how I felt about her. When I saw Jimmy put his hands on her, I saw red. Something flashed before my eyes, imagining her hurt or, worse, him killing her. He was obsessed with getting her back. Guys like that are dangerous.
He won't bother Ari anymore, or I'll sue him and make sure the Flyers drops him. I'm angry with myself for not getting to her sooner. He could have hurt her. He wasn't in his right state of mind.
I'm still not convinced that he will leave her alone. I cannot let her out of my sight.
Something inside me just snapped like a dam of emotions, flooding me. I couldn't lose her. Never again. I will never allow it.
