Chapter 7

. . .
Rae
Silence takes over as we continue to bask in each other’s company–something I wasn’t sure I’d find in a sex club.
Quite a place to find intimacy, but it makes sense that it would be with someone who managed to coax out such a feral side of me with mere words.
I don’t rush to make conversation as the sweat on my skin dries and I pull the covers higher over my bare body.
“Cold?” She asks, nestling me closer before placing a kiss on top of my head.
Quite the romantic.
“Yeah, these sheets don’t offer much warmth either,” I grumble, my thumb running over the smooth skin of her thigh under said sheets.
“You’d better stop that before I make you fuck me with that strap too,” she warns. I’m about to tell her I’d be happy to make that happen, but she sits up. “Unfortunately, I didn’t plan on staying all night.”
“Me either. Gotta feed my cat,” I muse, trying to mask my uncertainty.
I sit up, immediately moving to grab her bra from the lamp when she places her hand on my shoulder. I glance back, and she presses her palm to my cheek before leaning in to kiss me.
“I can’t wait to see you again,” she murmurs before dropping another chaste kiss on my lips and taking her bra from my hand.
Our eyes bounce around the room, catching each other staring as we get dressed. Flashbacks to that perfect body against mine flood my mind, and if I’m not careful, we may stay here tangled in the sheets all night.
Must remember Biggie Paws, I think to myself.
Her soft touch distracts me as she zips up my dress, pressing a soft kiss to my neck before disappearing into the en suite. I sit down on the now-empty bed, taking stock of what just happened here.
It never felt like that with Ada. Not that easy or free, and I’m kicking myself for wasting my time, afraid of taking a leap. Though I’ve lived in regret long enough and am proud I came tonight.
In more ways than one.
“You ready?” She asks, waiting by the door.
I assure with a nod and step out into the hallway, she shuts the door behind us. It’s far emptier than it was when we entered, and I hear the moans from behind each door as I pass them.
Once out of the elevator, we’re greeted by Lila as she stands outside a door that I assume leads to her office, her hands clasped together.
“Did you enjoy yourself tonight?” she asks with a friendly smile.
“I did,” we say in unison and my cheeks heat.
“Hope to see you again soon,” she adds, her smile deepening, and I try not to find the innuendo hidden there.
“Thanks, Lila. I think you will.”
We check out and pick up our phones at the desk. I hand mine to her and she takes it, smirking at the screen before handing it back, saving her number as ‘Rae.’ I fire off a quick text so she has mine as well.
She gives me one last dizzying kiss, telling me she’ll text me soon before heading out the door.
I tuck the key card into my clutch as I walk to the car, peeking back at the neon sign as I pull off the lot.
Lilith's Lounge is so much more than meets the eye. I successfully flirted with a woman and haven’t felt seen like that in years.
I must see about a membership of my own and send Lucy some flowers. She did her big one with this recommendation and was right, as always even though I won’t be telling her that.
The drive home goes by quickly, and I’m anxious to call it a night.
A curious meow greets me as I open the door, and Biggie is on my heels as I trudge upstairs.
I can still smell Vik's perfume on my skin as I undress, tempting me to relieve myself to the thought of her, but the mean mug from the fluffy cat resting on my bed changes my mind.
I climb into bed when my phone buzzes on the nightstand with a text message from her, keeping her promise.
Vik
Hey, pretty girl.
I’d like to feed you before I exhaust you next time.
Me
I’m always down to eat.
Vik
You and I both. lol
Should dinner before we play be a new standard?
Me
I think it's only right.
Let’s call it a ‘playdate.’
Vik
As long as it ends with you on my tongue, you can call it whatever you want. ;)
Goodnight, Rae.
Me
Goodnight, Vik. ;)
