Chapter 31
Dinner that evening was fun, Stefan and David had returned home, and Gabriel, Mathis, Kayden, Sean, Raz, Thaigo, Cairo and Troy were also at the table.
Spencer had been in the hallway with Kitty when the front door opened and Stefan and David walked in.
“Stefan,” Spencer called out happily, running over to him.
Stefan opened his arms and wrapped them around his youngest son.
David touched his back. “Hey, little brother.”
Spencer moved his head and smiled at David. “Hi, Dave’s in the library.”
“Thanks,” he said, walking off.
Spencer pulled back and looked up at Stefan. “I’m glad you’re home. Louise is in her office.”
“Shall we go and see her?”
Spencer shook his head. “You go, you’ve not seen her for days.”
“We’ll come and find you in a while,” Stefan promised.
Spencer beamed at him. “Okay. Me and Kitty are off adventuring.”
Stefan looks towards Jamie’s sister. “Hello Kitty, Have fun adventuring.”
Kitty smiled at him. “Hi. We will, come on, Spencer.”
With a final hug for Stefan, Spencer went off with Kitty.
“Before we leave tonight, can we see your library?” Kayden asked, putting his cutlery down on his empty plate.
Dave nodded, putting his drink down. “You can. Just to warn you, though, the shelves are a mess. We’re slowly tidying them up, though. We’re going to scan everything so we have copies.”
“That would make sense,” Kayden replied.
“Dave, I’m hoping that when you’ve scanned everything, or even while you’re scanning them, you can set up a centralised paranormal library. We should all share our resources,” Stefan said.
“We can do that,” Dave agreed.
“We can do the same,” Gabe said. “We have our coven library, that has one-of-a-kind documents. We can scan them and add them to the centralised library.”
“That would be helpful, thanks, Gabe,” Stefan commented.
“Kayden, Sean, fancy a project? I know how much you like old books and documents, Kayden,” Gabe asked.
“Yes, yes, so yes,” Kayden replied quickly, making them all laugh.
“Just don’t ask the kitty to help,” Cairo said. “My love will probably explode if he has to be confined somewhere else too soon.”
Troy looked at Cairo and shook his head. “I can’t believe I love you.”
Cairo grinned and gave him a quick kiss. “I blame the fates.”
“Me too,” Troy agreed.
“You two are so cute,” Raz comments, grinning at them.
“I can still maim you, fangy,” Troy hissed out.
“Fangy?” Dave said as he burst out laughing. “Oh, I like that.”
“I think it’s better than Wolfie,” Sean adds. “Gabe, have I ever thanked you for making friends with the vampires and wolves?”
Gabe laughed. “You have indeed.”
Kayden whistled as he looked around the vampire’s library. “This is, this is..,”
“Amazing,” Sean finished for his husband.
“Yeah, that,” Kayden agreed.
“A lot of these manuscripts and texts are one of a kind. We’re having a sealed room built for the more delicate scrolls,” Dave told him. “Anytime you want to come here, help yourself.”
Kayden grinned at him. “Thanks. The centralised library is going to be amazing.”
“It really will be.”
