Chapter 59 - Let the Law Punish Him

Hearing the box being torn open, Chloe trembled all over in terror.

"Just let me go, please. I'm begging you, please..." She repeated it wretchedly, her guts twisting with regret.

"What's there to be scared of? I'll make you feel good." The man easily flipped off the blanket covering her. "Besides, your phone's broken. Who's going to save you now?"

Who's going to save you now?

At those words, a figure suddenly surfaced in Chloe's mind.

That person was always lazy and slouching. In certain light, his eyes were a deep blue. His skin was fair, and his blonde hair made him look even better.

"Someone... will come... to save me..." Chloe said, sobbing.

"Sure, sure." The man smiled. He reached out, gripped the girl's slender leg, and yanked it apart.

Chloe struggled desperately. "Let me go, I'm not even an adult..."

"You don't say it, I don't say it. Who's going to know you're underage?" The man leaned in and kissed Chloe's neck, sighing. "So sweet, baby."

Chloe's tears fell like a broken string of pearls. She shook her head helplessly.

In that moment, the ninety thousand, the isolation at school, the misfortune at home, all seemed to recede.

Just as the man was about to unbutton her top, the sound of a key card unlocking came from the door.

The man froze, then turned around furiously. "Who the hell is it?"

Chloe instantly saw hope. She hurriedly grabbed the blanket and wrapped it around herself.

The man got off the bed in annoyance, stepped into his slippers, and turned to look. He thought it was room service and was about to curse, but the one leading the way was a pretty young girl.

Her long hair fell softly over her shoulders. Her face was strikingly bright, fair skin, dark eyes, red lips, white teeth.

She looked at him with obvious disgust.

The anger on the man's face vanished. He grinned again. "Hey beautiful, you look really hot..."

Before he could finish the crude sentence, a fist slammed into his face. The person was fast and strong.

He crashed straight to the floor, his teeth aching.

"Shit, which little bastard dares to hit me?"

He spat out a mouthful of bloody saliva. Before he could get up, a foot pressed down on his chest.

The boy looked down at him, gaze ice cold, like he was looking at a dead man. "Say that again, if you've got the guts."

The hotel lobby manager was a cool, sharp-looking woman. She stood by the door, face pale, watching.

Luna didn't bother with the two of them. She quickly walked to the inner room. Chloe sat at the head of the bed, crying silently.

"You okay?"

Luna picked up the tissues from the bedside and handed them to her.

"I'm... I'm fine." Chloe said, sobbing.

Luna quickly scanned the floor. Aside from some scattered clothes, there was nothing else.

She looked down at Chloe. She was clearly shaken, wrapping the blanket tightly around herself. "Did he touch you?"

Chloe wiped her tears. "He did. But he didn't get all the way."

"Good." Luna let out a breath.

She picked up the clothes on the floor. The skirt was still intact. The fitted sweater on top was torn beyond recognition.

Luna handed the skirt to Chloe and took off her own jacket. "Put this on first."

Chloe, eyes red, stared at her blankly.

Before, Luna had always been unfriendly when she saw her, sharp-tongued. This time, she was uncharacteristically gentle.

Being this close, Chloe could even clearly smell the faint jasmine perfume on Luna. Fresh and elegant.

She nodded. "Okay."

After confirming Chloe's condition, Luna went back to the entryway.

The man had been beaten so badly he couldn't get up. He was cursing up a storm.

Leo, probably still seething, was about to hit him again.

Luna stopped him in time. "Stop hitting him. Just call the police."

"He just said you..." Leo stopped, glaring at her.

"I know." Luna opened her phone and dialed 911. "But there are police to handle this, laws to punish him. Don't dirty your hands."

Leo glared at her a few more times, then got up and went outside.

He was a guy, after all. It wasn't appropriate for him to be in front of Chloe right now.

The man had been cursing and spewing filth. Hearing this, he panicked. "I was just joking. You're calling the police over that?"

Luna kicked his leg. "And what about the girl in there?"

The man froze, then said shamelessly, "She's my girlfriend. Couples doing a little something, isn't that normal?"

"Tell it to the police." Luna's eyes curved, with not a trace of a smile in them.

Meanwhile, at Crescent Bay.

No. 11 was quiet.

After taking the call, Helen carefully knocked on the master bedroom door.

Two minutes later, Stella opened it.

She looked tired. "What is it?"

Helen swallowed. "The young master's been taken to the precinct. Someone needs to go."

Stella said, "Let Lulu go."

Helen wiped the sweat from her temple. "The miss is there too."

Stella: "......"
