Chapter 14 Tobias
Tobias
The cold water hits my chest as I reach for Elijah’s arm. His laughter brings me comfort, lifting the mood even though I’m scared.
“Good. You’re doing great with those kicks.” Elijah nods, watching me tread water. I swim back over to him in the shallow end so I can stand fully. We’ve been practicing little by little to avoid getting overwhelmed, and I think it’s starting to pay off.
“Okay, I think you’re ready to try on your own now.” He states, walking in further. “You remember what I told you?” He asks, reaching out for me.
I look down at his hand, feeling my heart speeding up.
“If I think I’m going to drown, I’ll sink.
” I take a big breath in before I grab ahold of his hand, letting him guide me in.
I make quick work at wrapping my arm and legs around him like a koala.
Thankfully, he doesn’t tease me about it. But, he hardly ever does.
He nods his head. “Right. Just imagine yourself floating and your body will do the rest,” he says, walking us in slowly.
I feel the deeper water surrounding us, and I scramble to hold onto him tighter. I don’t want him to let go. My feet don’t reach the bottom here. It’s too deep. I almost didn’t make it last time.
“Don’t worry Tobias, I’m right here. I’m not going to let you go under.” He smiles, bringing me closer.
I feel the weight of his touch and I know he’s not lying to me.
“If I slip, even just a little bit—”
“I’ll pull you right back up.” Elijah smiles. “And look, dad is right there watching you too. He won’t let anything bad happen to you.”
I look over at the dock, and there’s Elijah’s dad, waving at us just like Elijah said he would be.
I feel calmer just knowing he’s there watching over me.
I take a deep breath. I trust them.
“You’ll be right here," I say quietly, loosening my grip around his arms.
“Right here. Always.” He nods, kicking away.
I nod my head and let go, allowing the water to sweep me off my feet.

I feel a jolt through my body. My eyes whip open as I take in a big breath.
“Baby. Baby, I think you were having a bad dream.” Elijah’s smooth voice flows through my ears as he wraps me up in his arms, pressing my back against his chest. “You were kicking your legs,” he says softly, kissing my shoulders repeatedly.
I feel my heart slow down to a natural state as he holds me tightly against his body.
I close my eyes, basking in the warmth from the skylight above us and the steadier warmth given by his body. I’m drowning in it, and it’s amazing.
I let out a huff which comes out more as a whimper as I pull on his arms so he can tighten his hold around me. “More.” I groan, pushing my waist back.
“What do you need, baby?” He asks, intertwining his legs with mine. His lips lay soft kisses from my temple, down to the crook of my neck and back up again.
“Mmph. I need to be inside of you…” I murmur, grinding my ass against his rigid dick. “No…I need you inside of me.”
“Okay, Angel,” he whispers against my neck, then seals his words with a deep kiss I already know will leave a mark.
This. This is exactly what I need.
No more words necessary. Elijah just knows, like he always does.
Keeping his left arm around my chest, his right rubs up and down my body in a steady rhythm.
My breaths turn heavy as I succumb to the pleasure of his hands all over me. His fingers slip down my shorts until he’s softly rubbing against my inner thigh.
“Yes,” I moan, feeling my dick grow eager. I need him to touch me everywhere. I need him to cover me. I don’t want to know where I stop and he begins.
“God, I love it when you tell me what you want,” he groans, his voice coming out low and ragged. I nod, squeezing his arm. "You have no idea what you do to me, T."
He begins stroking my dick in slow and deliberate pulls. My nerves light up as he twists his palm over the head and it’s not long before I’m throbbing and leaking in his hand.
He releases me and stretches his arm behind us, but the sting of losing his touch melts away the moment he sets the lube in front of me.
I snap open the cap and let the liquid pool into his waiting palm.
Elijah slowly pulls my shorts down past my knees, and I kick them off the rest of the way, helping him as he quickly sheds his own.
Once we’re both naked, he connects back like a magnet. Pressed against me, he buries his face into my neck.
“Stroke yourself.” He orders. I do as he says as I feel his slick hand sliding down my crease. “It’s been awhile since I’ve fucked you. This won’t last long.” He smirks against my skin.
“It’s okay. I just need you to fill me. That’s all I want.” I pant, feeling already lost to the rimming of his fingers.
Elijah wastes no time stretching me open. One by one, he plunges his lube-slicked fingers into me, scissoring as he goes.
I moan, rocking my hips, laying my head back onto his shoulder. “Don’t ever fucking leave me.”
He pulls me closer to his chest. Looking down, he aims his dick at my opening. “Never, Angel.”
I nod, holding onto his arm. “Promise me—”
He eases his tip inside, that glorious burn licking around my rim.
I don’t bottom often, but fuck, when I do, he knows exactly how to wreck me in the best way.
There’s something about being completely taken over by him.
Like all that control I’m so terrified of losing doesn’t feel so dangerous.
With Elijah, here in his arms, as he inches inside of me, surrendering doesn’t feel like a risk at all.
It’s safe. It’s comforting. It’s all I want.
"I’ll show you.” His raspy voice brushes against my cheek as he moves his hips slowly, inch by inch, until my ass is taking every one of his long strokes.
“Oh God.” I latch onto his arm with my teeth, if only to feel some sort of support as he brushes against that sweet spot inside of me.
“Keep going. Mark me, baby,” he moans behind me.
I do as he says, putting my pent up frustration into his skin .
Once satisfied with my mark, he squeezes me tightly in his arms, turning me onto my stomach. I brace myself, hanging on to his forearms for dear life as he thrusts himself deeper.
My body hums with need as each buck of his hips, drags out a deep guttural groan from my chest.
“Shh, I’ve got you. I’ve got you,” he says, kissing my shoulder.
My eyes roll back as the pressure builds.
"Baby, I’m so close—" I gasp, my orgasm edging closer.
The friction from the blankets rubbing against my dick, combined with his relentless taps on my prostate, is too intense.
“Eli—” I barely get the name out before my body takes over.
Blinded by the euphoric strokes, my come sprays across the blankets beneath me, shooting out in a stream.
“Fuckkk yes. There you go, Angel. Damn, you feel so good,” he groans, picking up his pace.
His continuous thrusting, hitting my prostate over and over again, makes my orgasm feel like it’s lasting forever. Desperate cries leave my lips as I drown in the pleasure.
It isn’t long before he’s tumbling over the edge after me. Holding him close, I feel his body stiffen, jerking through the aftershocks. The warmth spreading through me eases my fears, plunging me into bliss. I feel completely enveloped in him—exactly what I needed.
“Thank you,” I hear myself repeat softly. He doesn’t slip out of me right away. As though he knows exactly why I’m saying it, he stays close, covering me with his body.
“I needed it too.” He smiles, kissing me gently on the shoulder. “I missed you so damn much. I hate being away from you.”
I feel the same way,” I sigh, feeling the wetness on my stomach start to cool. We’ll have to wash these blankets later, but right now, I don’t care. “I wish you didn’t have to go back.” It comes out before I can stop it, but now that it’s out, it hangs in the air around us.
It’s like he’s an anchor. When he’s near, it doesn’t feel like I’m floating away.
“No. Shh. We’re not talking about that.” He buries his face in the back of my neck.
“No?” I smile.
“Nope. Right now, we’re going to lay here until we gain our strength back. And then—and only then—will we go for a polar bear dip.”
My eyes widen. “It’s the middle of September. There’s no fucking way. It’ll be so cold.”
This only makes Elijah laugh harder as he rolls off of me. “Since when did you turn into a little worry wart, huh? Scared of the water?”
Not when you’re around.
He pulls my waist towards him, making me laugh with him.
“You’re crazy.” I smile, shaking my head, looking at him over my shoulder.
“Some people call it love, but I mean, ‘crazy’ works too.” He bites his lower lip, giving me a dashing smile.
I roll my eyes, but honestly, I love it. His cheesy lines and lovely words are just constant reminders of how much he feels the same way I do.
Crazy in love.
***
Elijah has a few distinctive laughs that I’ve grown to know. Like, when he’s been watching a repeat episode of The Office, or when he’s with all his friends being the star of the show.
But there’s one.
One that’s reserved only for me.
From the early morning until our drive back home, my ears have been treated to a symphony of his laughs.
Elijah hums happily, tugging the grilled sandwich from my lips. The long stretch of cheese makes him bounce on his feet with glee. “Ah! See, I’m turning into a grilled cheese connoisseur.”
I chuckle, slurping up the yummy cheesy goodness. “Yup, you’re stealing my role for the house chef.” I wrap my arms around his waist, pulling him.
“I better step up my game. I want you to have a reason to come back home to me.” I laugh, licking a crumb off my finger. Elijah’s eyes follow my tongue.
“I’m pretty sure you don’t need incentives.” He leans in for a kiss.
I swiftly stick the sandwich between us, stopping him from connecting his lips to mine. “Okay, no Birria tacos then.”
His eyes go wide. “How dare you?”
I laugh, walking away, putting our empty plates in the dishwasher. He follows close behind me, stealing kisses from me as I go. All morning we’ve been insatiable. It’s like we both know what’s coming and we’re milking every touch and kiss until then.
“Okay, next time, dinner is all you.” Elijah crosses his heart.
I give him a bored look, moving his hair out of his face. “Okay, I’ll whip you up something special.”
“Deal.” He winks.
We share a beat for a moment, just looking at each other’s faces. He moves in close as I hold my breath.
The sun is beginning to set, even though we had planned on separating a few hours ago. Elijah won’t be getting back to his dorms until late, which I don’t like but…
“Don’t tell me to stay. Because I will,” Elijah whispers.
My heart falls. I know he would. I know because he’s told me a million times how close he is to just quitting it all together and staying home with me. But, what type of partner would I be if I said yes to that?
His passion. His dreams. There’s no way I’d be the one getting in the middle of that.
I shake my head. “If I don’t kick you out of this house, you’ll never leave, will you?” I laugh lightly.
Elijah throws his head back and lets out a miserable groan. “You’ll have to drag me out kicking and screaming.” He drops his hands from my waist and heads to the hallway where his weekend bag sits.
“You’ve got everything?” I ask, looking him over as he throws it over his shoulder. “Clothes? Your homework? Everything?”
He sighs, picking up a stack of random pieces of what looks like magazine clippings. All resembling the same deepest blue hue.
“Yup, yup annnnd yup.” He shrugs.
I purse my lips at his sarcasm but take the moment to examine all the pieces in his hand. “I love what your mind can do,” I say aloud. He’s so talented. “Why this shade of blue?” I ask, leaning in to study the images more closely.
His hand cups my chin, making me look him right in the eyes. “It’s my favorite color,” he says softly.
A deep emotion waves through me as I piece it together.
Oh.
I lean in and kiss him deeply, speaking in as much of him as possible.
“I’m not sure what I did to deserve you…but I’m glad I did it,” I say softly, rubbing my thumb against his swollen bottom lip.
Wrapping his hand around my neck, he kisses my forehead.
But the warmth he spreads through my body is quickly taken away when he moves to the door, and starts making his way to his car.
“This is cruel.” He whines, making it even harder for me. I follow him out, stopping at the doorframe to watch him leave. I know if I take a step onto that gravel, I’ll pull him out of the car myself and really show him how crazy I am.
“Stay,” I mutter to myself, watching him throw his duffel bag into the backseat.
He throws me a charming smile and a wink before he slips into the front seat.
I cave, running down the steps. He rolls down the window, and I waste no time, kissing as much of him as I can.
“I’ll call you right when I get there.” He smiles, pressing his lips to mine again, one last time.
We finally unlock, despite how badly I don’t want to, and he starts up the engine.
“Next weekend.” He points to me.
“I’ll be waiting.” I give him a nod, stepping back.
He flashes a smile at me, and nods before slowly reversing out the driveway.
“I love you,” I say loud enough so he can hear.
“I love you!” he calls back.
He finally reaches the end of the driveway before he waves back to me.
“I love you,” I whisper again.
I watch him disappear, and for a moment, the sun seems dimmer, the world quieter, like even the air knows he’s leaving.
