Chapter 28 Hannah

Hannah

Idrag my palms down Julia’s waist and along her inner thighs, savoring the silky texture of her skin. The sight of her naked body is more than I can bear—her full breasts, the curve of her waist, the warm glow of her skin in the firelight.

I open her legs further and glide my tongue up her center, slow and firm.

She makes the sweetest sound, her thighs trembling. Her fingers thread through my hair, her touch sending a shiver through me.

Her taste and scent are driving me wild. I want to devour her like she’s the first meal I’ve had in months. But I hold back, taking this slow.

“I’ve been wanting to taste you all night,” I whisper against her inner thigh. I ghost my breath over her center, teasing her, drawing this out.

Her fingers tighten in my hair, and she whimpers incoherently.

I push her legs further apart, draping one over the chair’s armrest. Her breath hitches, and for a moment, she tenses. But as I part her folds with both hands and lick her again, she tips her head back, moaning louder this time.

I swirl my tongue, exploring her, testing what makes her thighs quake and involuntary sounds burst from her lips.

She tastes so sweet I can’t stand it.

I crawl closer, burying my face between her legs, and close my mouth around her. I lick and suck until I can’t help the hungry, desperate sounds that come out of me. I’m being messy and sloppy, but I’m too drunk on her taste to care.

She gasps and writhes, and I grip her thighs tighter to hold her still.

“Oh—oh, that’s—” she stammers, her chest heaving.

She clenches her fists like she’s trying to stop trembling. Clamps her jaw shut as if forcing herself to be quiet.

She’s giving me her body, letting me touch and taste her, but she’s fighting the pleasure. Or maybe she’s fighting the vulnerability.

Every stroke of my tongue makes her fight harder. Her chest rises and falls rapidly, a sheen of sweat glistening on her skin.

I tease her opening with two fingers. “You want me inside you?” I whisper.

She nods, and as I slide into her, the moan that bursts from her lips is so sexy it makes my core clench.

I never thought I would see Julia Moreau this undone. She’s at my mercy, panting hard, her legs trembling. I stroke her inner walls while flicking my tongue relentlessly.

Goosebumps rise up her legs. She whimpers softly.

I thrust into her harder and increase the pressure of my tongue, savoring the way her breathing becomes ragged.

Her grip on my hair tightens. Her moans become breathy. “Hannah…”

I watch her face, relishing these precious minutes where the mask she presents to the world is starting to slip.

Her eyes are shut tight as she rocks her hips against my hand and mouth. Her lips are closed, her nostrils flaring as her breaths quicken. There’s a crease between her brows.

She’s fighting hard. She’s letting me pleasure her, but pleasure isn’t enough. The binding won’t break if her surrender is only physical.

And I don’t want her surrender to be purely physical. After all we’ve been through, I don’t want this to be something she’s just doing to break a spell.

I pull back.

Julia’s eyelids fly open. “No,” she gasps, her hips chasing my mouth. “Keep going.”

I kiss her inner thigh. “Julia…”

Her brow pinches.

I lock her gaze. “I want you to let go completely. Not just your body. All of you.”

She stares down at me, breathing hard, panic flickering behind the haze of desire. “I am letting go.”

“No, you’re not.” I kiss her thigh. “You’re still holding back. You’re hiding behind the sensations.”

“I’m not—” Her voice catches.

I stroke her soft skin, keeping my voice steady even though I’m afraid to push her too hard. “You’re still trying to control what you feel. What you let me see.”

Her jaw clenches. “What do you want from me?”

“I want you to stop being afraid of wanting me without magic or curses forcing your hand.”

“Hannah…” It’s half plea, half warning.

My heart is pounding so hard I can barely breathe. I know nobody has coaxed total surrender out of Julia Moreau before, but we need this if we want to unbind. I need this. I need to know I’m not just someone to feed on.

My throat tightens, but I make myself say what terrifies me most. “I care about you, Julia. You’ve changed me and made me braver.

You’ve shown me a part of myself I didn’t know existed.

” I hold her gaze, letting her see my want, fear, and hope.

“Tell me you want this too. Not because you have to break a spell. Tell me you want me because you want me.”
